Predatory Stop loss and 600 POINTS GAP IN SL
So I passed both stages of 200k swing account and before receiving details of 200k funded account they shared an email with me with new terms associated with the mention of having mandatory stop loss and also no more risk that 2% per trade idea, my question is why these terms were not advised on website or before buying a 200k swing account ??
Secondly today my trades even after having SL, closed at a WHOPPING 600 POINTS (60PIPS) AWAY FROM MY SL ???? and that too today being a day when there is no major news event either.
I also tried contacting their customer care but an absolute class-less response from customer care with sarcastic responses. After Trust pilot I will be also mentioning about their wrong doing in detail on multiple other platforms as well !!
My questions are simple :
1) Mandatory SL AND 2% risk per trade .. these points were not advised before buying 200k swing account and neither were they advised anywhere on website !! WHY ?? this clearly points to intentional fraud.
2) Why did my trades close 600 points(60pips) away from my SL ?? when there is no major news event !! These intentional errors from company's have completely disheartened me that I invested my time and money in something which is a fraud and only wishes to see each and every trader fail badly.

We acknowledge that these changes should have been communicated more clearly and well in advance, however, these rules were outlined and made accessible on our website, as well as on Discord.
Trade Execution Issue:
Regarding the trades that closed 600 points away from your set stop loss, our investigation indicates that this occurred during a sudden and unusual spike in the GBPJPY pair at 02:00:14 (UTC+0) on August 21st. This unusual spike was observed across various platforms and regulated brokers such as OANDA or even ICMarkets experienced the same, confirming it was a market-wide black swan event. During such spikes, trades may be closed at the next available price, which can sometimes be significantly different from the set stop loss. This is a standard risk associated with trading in highly volatile conditions, which can occur even during periods without major news announcements.
We have complied with an external investigation and provided all necessary data and screenshots, confirming that the price movement was genuine and impacted other brokers and trading platforms similarly. All other stop losses outside of the black swan events have closed around or better prices than your set price.

Just my honest review (UPDATE)
As an long-time user of MPFUNDS, I feel compelled to share some significant concerns that have emerged over time, which have led me to question the firm's operations and ultimately, to recommend against its use.
Delayed Payout Process: Initially, MPFUNDS advertised a payout timeframe of 7 calendar days. However, over time, this timeline has been extended with the exclusion of weekends, and most recently, Fridays have also been excluded from the working days. This change means that payouts can now take up to 14 calendar days, far exceeding the originally promised 7 days. The firm justifies these delays as necessary for processing payouts more efficiently and improving staff work-life balance. While the latter is understandable, it is evident that these delays are more likely a strategy to manage cash flow. Additionally, traders must wait an additional 1-2 working days for payout confirmation (excluding the day of request), which further prolongs the process. If MPFUNDS had clearly communicated a 14-day payout period from the outset, this might not have been an issue. However, MPFUNDS is still advertising a 7-day payout while consistently failing to meet that expectation is misleading and raises concerns.
Unannounced 2% Risk Rule: A new 2% risk rule was introduced without prior notice, catching many traders off guard. I will not go into detail for this rule as many have already voiced out in the other reviews. This rule, which is not mentioned in the FAQs, has caused considerable frustration among users and has the potential to result in unexpected losses during the payout process.
Increased Slippage: Over the past year, I have observed a significant increase in slippage against traders. While MPFUNDS attributes this to "true market conditions," we all know how prop firms work. This pattern raises concerns about the fairness and transparency of the trading environment provided by the firm.
Lastly, although some are real, I do question the legitimacy of some 5 digit payout proofs.
Unless MPFUNDS makes significant improvements, I believe many traders will choose to leave the platform. With the current standard, I find it difficult to introduce MPFUNDS to my peers.
Edit: Payouts are now processed in 2-3 business days(excluding friday and weekends and also day of request)
Edit 2: well well well... Personally I do have multiple live accounts awaiting payout and I believe it is as good as gone. I truly hope Dean Wong can fairly compensate the traders, especially those from Thailand which he have clearly spent a lot of time marketing in, and also traders from countries with less purchasing power than us residing in SG. So basically after 15 days I took to…
So basically after 15 days I took to pass ph1&ph2, and then waiting for another week to get my funded account, instead I got an email saying they not offering Thier services in my country and issued a refund.
The question is would they consider telling me before I took the challenge ?
The answer is that when I fail the account, it will be my fault and loss the fees, !
They simply made me more frustrated.
Also they have a processing problem as Thier way in issuing accounts takes forever.
Btw, I checked the restricted countries and mine was not there, that's why I bought a challenge

Implement predatory HIDDEN rules
They implement new rules halfway only when you are successful (2% rule). This rule is extremely predatory and is extremely hard to trade, especially for those on swing accounts. Completely defeats the purpose of having the swing account option. 4 day business week and payout schedule is good for the team but extremely bad for traders. Beware. There are definitely better propfirms out there

Honest Review of MPFunds Prop Firm
First and foremost, my experience with MPFunds has been far from satisfactory. Here’s why:
1) Minimum Trading Days Requirement:
MPFunds requires a minimum of 5 trading days for both Phase 1 and Phase 2. This is the longest I’ve encountered among any prop firms. After meeting the minimum trading days, you’re forced to wait an additional 1-2 business days to receive your Phase 2 account. And note, their business days are Monday to Thursday only, which is incredibly inconvenient.
2) Unannounced Rule Changes:
After passing Phase 2, they introduced a new rule for Phase 3: "Implementation of 2% Maximum Risk (PHASE 3 ONLY)." This rule, which restricts you to a 2% risk per “trade idea” based on the initial account balance, was never mentioned in their FAQ or any documentation prior to this stage. It’s absurd to spring such a significant rule change at this point—especially when the firm already has daily drawdown and maximum drawdown limits in place. It makes you question the entire purpose of these existing drawdown rules.
3) Misleading Payout Terms:
MPFunds states that their payout system operates on a "7 business day" cycle. However, since Fridays are excluded from this count. This means that “7 business days” can translate into a minimum of 8 and up to 10 calendar days. They defend this by claiming it’s standard across the industry, but I find it misleading. A more honest representation would be to label it as a 10 calendar day payout process.
4) Poor Customer Support:
I had questions about the "2% Maximum Risk (PHASE 3 ONLY)" rule due to its confusing conditions, which seem designed to trip you up and lead to breaches. When I reached out to their Discord channel and emailed them for clarification, I was met with generic, unsatisfactory responses. Even when I provided examples and screenshots of my trades, they failed to address my concerns meaningfully.
Conclusion:
In summary, this prop firm is simply absurd. The lengthy and convoluted processes, unexpected rule changes, misleading payout terms, and subpar customer support make MPFunds a prop firm I cannot recommend for now.

As it is not applied to all traders, this rule only affects those who constantly excessively risks their account limits on single trade ideas. The purpose of drawdown rules are to manage the capital on the account. It is however, unwise and difficult to effectively manage it when drawdown rules are being taken advantage of by risking, for example, 5% in a single trade idea. The limits are there to promote healthy, risk-managed trading behaviour, rather than taking potentially risky positions by placing it all in one trade. This in turn not only helps the trader to trade responsibly, but also us as a firm to manage risk appropriately.
3. Misleading Payout Terms:
We hear where you are coming from regarding the payout duration, and we apologise if our schedule did not meet your expectations. This is a decision made that is for our administrative team to better process payouts after a thorough review of all the trades taken on the account.
4. Poor Customer Support:
We take pride in servicing our customers and we want to make sure that all our traders are well taken care of. Upon checking your email history and Discord ticket transcripts, we found that all your queries were adequately attended to with sufficient information.
We value your insights on the necessity of our drawdown rules, which are indeed designed to encourage responsible trading and risk management. However, the additional rules in place for certain traders are there to protect both the trader, and the firm from any potential unnecessary losses and/or premature loss of the account.
We are committed to continuous improvement, and your detailed feedback is instrumental in helping us enhance our services. We hope to regain your trust and demonstrate our commitment to all our traders.

There are just a few points I'd like to comment on. Minimum trading day would be better if you can reduce it just to 1-3 days, cause there doesn’t count business days on Fridays(ang Sat, Sun). I just feel that after passing the test, the waiting time is quite long. and when purchasing a challenge, the receipts should be give via email or has it in dashboard immediately.
They provide good assistance when there are issues, and they respond to emails fairly quickly. Overall, though, it’s a very good propfirm.
