Moving to New Zealand Arvostelua 

The team was very pleasant and professional. All of our goods were delivered in a timely manner. No items were damaged or broken. We highly recommend them.

The level of service was fantastic. Our primary contact at Van Lines, Matthew, was brilliant and helpful and gave us a lot to peace of mind that everything would be OK, which it was. It was really good to have a single point of contact to deal with, rather than a call centre that redirected to a random person for each call.

With such a large move and amount of items, our shipment arrived in very good shape overall, with only limited, inevitable damage/breakage to an expected small percentage of items. We opted not to go with insurance, given the high cost, and reading the fine print we felt that many of our items would not have been covered. If moving again we would make the same choice. We pre packed our most treasured and uninsurable goods in advance ourselves, with extra care, and all of these arrived intact. We also did our best to pre pack and label all of the Customs/Quarantine MPI declared goods in advance too. This was invaluable, as the pickup team was so efficient and fast that there would have been no way of tracking everything that needed to be declared if we had stood back and let it happen. That's no criticism of the pickup team at origin, maybe just a reflection of our own hobbies and possessions. We took over a month to prepare everything before the uplift and if making the same move again I would allow twice that long. So good to have made it across with everything we need to make a fresh start, so thank you very much to Matthew and NZ Van Lines.

Packing by NZ Van Line's affiliate in the US, Schumacher, was only fair. Several items were damaged in transit because of poor packing. [We learned this upon delivery of our goods.] Delivery by NZ Van Lines in Auckland was very professional and highly satisfactory. Communication with NZ Van Lines, including prior to, during and after the move, was professional and also very satisfactory. The price quoted initially (prior to the move) was the final price; there was no upward adjustment based on worldwide shipping delays. Damaged items were very satisfactorily resolved by the insurance agent/carrier. Moving overseas is challenging and much more so during a worldwide pandemic. As a result, our goods were not delivered for approximately 4 months. This is, of course, not the fault of NZ Van Lines. Overall, we rate the experience 4 stars.

Great communications, flexible and reliable at both U.K. and NZ end. We would highly recommend.

Moving from far north Queensland, back to New Zealand, we have dealt with Matthew the whole way through. Even when the process fell down (the banks not NZ VanLines) Matthew was more than accommodating and kept in touch the whole way through. Kent Storage (local company with a branch in Townsville) were brilliant with the packing process, a three bedroomed house packed within two days (including a large amount of tools!) Now patiently waiting for our container to leave Brisbane and make its way to New Zealand, I am sure the unloading process will be as outstanding as the loading. Thoroughly recommended!

We recently moved from the United States to New Zealand and had a fabulous experience with New Zealand Van Lines. They were always quick to respond to our questions and kept us in informed of all the important information. Our move in crew were polite, friendly and very hard working considering we had a lot of stairs to deal with. Overall a great experience!

We have just used this company to bring our belongings from USA to NZ. From start to finish they made it easy. The men that turned up to pack out belongings were professional, on time and very friendly, went above and beyond what they had to do. I have been informed all the way of when my belongings will arrive and what ship it will arrive on. I would 100% use this company again and again.
