Do not use this company under any circumstances they have a ad for $250 off 1st month rent it’s a bait & switch they moved a one bedroom apartment mind you I’m disabled and elderly they charged me $1300 to move a 1bedroom & said it took 8 hours to move me they charged me $180 for 4 rolls of shrink wrap they came in with 2 & left with the same Jimmy was supposed to take care of that last month he didn’t they turned around & stole $600 the very next day on May 3rd I have so many recordings of this company lying they turned around on June 3rd and stole $600 they have a hold on it why ??? My bank already confirmed it’s fraud I went there today I have in writing now they are going to charge me $50 to see my things I only am supposed to pay $150 monthly for my 1 bedroom storage my bank keeps trying to refund my money but they put a hold on it this month after I asked them to remove my credit card from off there file I had to have my bank to block them I almost had a heart attack last month because of them I have been denied access to my things DO NOT USE THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES FIND ANOTHER COMPANY I asked the guy Jimmy on Damier street to remove the hold 11 am on June 6the he said in the recording there’s no hold and my storage is $150 monthly 2 people contacted the BBB today and contacted Elder legal aid I have called them 8 times since 5 p.m June 6 four people lied & hung up now customer is saying finance is control of my money when it’s them I have been calling back I recorded every conversation they are open till 8p.m it’s 6:56 & they are purposely not answering they go through your things your not allowed access they are all liars please go else where you see my name I have screen shot all 8 calls since 5 pm and shows how I was placed on excessive holds & now no will answer I AM GOING TO TAKE THEM TO COURT THEY ARE HORRIBLE I HAVE 2 lines of gas in my car & $40 to my name when they did this last month i had to borrow $100 now they took this money on June 3rd ask your self why it hasn’t been charged or $450 refunded my bank has been trying to get my money back since June 3rd customer services is now said finance handles that today on are orders phone call it’s a lie I told them Jimmy again today he didn’t give a damn I told him to remove the hold he said yes but they got a hold on purpose so my bank can’t give me $450 FRAUD AT ITS GREATEST ELDER ABUSE EMOTIONAL STRESS & I still haven’t seen my things even though I been asking since May 4th , 2022 DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM AT ALL you see my google name contact me I let you see the fake invoices listen to the multiple recording I will contact the BBB it’s all my evidence the move central is on Damier st in Irvine also the movers moved at a snails pace took lunch on my time said it wasn’t charged as part of my move but it was don’t they didn’t even lock the doors why ??? Awful, our quote got raised $1500 and got charged an extra 4 hours due to the movers taking their time and not being able to load the truck efficiently. Nonetheless I had to pay out of pocket for THEIR expenses, food, waters, etc. i don’t care about that but at least give the customers a heads up. Oh and they said that they would wrap all the TVs and monitors but surprise, once they were here it was an extra charge.
Worst service EVER!!
If I could give negative stars I would!! Worst experience ever!! We hired them to pack and move my 92 year old grandmother from one home to another. First they didn’t show up on the day they were suppose to, promised they would move her the next day. Showed up late the following day and didn’t bring enough packing supplies and didn’t want to work overtime so they only moved half her stuff. Than every time we call to speak with a manager “he is in a meeting”, meanwhile my grandmother is sleeping on a mattress on the floor!! They told us the job was completed and we would have to rebook them!! Do not use them, worst customer service ever!!!
NO SHOW, NO CALL, FORCED TO RESCHEDULE.
If you have to be out of your house/apartment by a date/time certain - DON"T TRUST these guys to be there when they contracted for or to reasonably compensate you for their failure to show up! The actual movers were fine on the rescheduled move, but the BACK OFFICE IS HORRIBLE.
My 2-man (small studio size apt) move was scheduled for Friday afternoon. They had not shown up by 3:30 pm and had not contacted me. I called and then had to wait for them to check on their dispatch for another half an hour and then two more call backs, and then they basically said they would NOT be coming out that afternoon or evening. Tough Luck! And only after another half hour's arguing, could I get them to commit to come out the next day as the first job of the day.
My delayed move the next day took approximately 1-1/2 hours with drive time which could have easily been done the previous night. After the move, I asked for a reasonable rebate for their failure to show up when contracted, and they said they could only offer a measly $25 discount. That wasn't even close to what I even tipped the movers! Talk about not standing behind their contract and not treating customers fairly. Go with 2 Men and a Truck or some other more reputable mover who will treat their customers right.

DO NOT USE Move Central! They are dishonest and a terrible moving company. Where do I start?
PRICING: What they dont tell you during your quote is that you have to use their packaging supplies. They will come in and packup your items and will charge you for every inch of bubble wrap and every box they use. The problem is that they charge RIDICULOUS prices for these materials. At least 30%more than if I bought the packaging material myself at home depot.
If you dont want to use their material then you have to sign a waiver releasing them from all liability from damaging your goods! Packaging material is where they make their most money in my opinion.
REIMBURSEMENT: they will ONLY pay the $.30 / lb rule for any damaged items. They completely ruined my daughters $800 crib that my mother in law bought for us. They bubble wrapped only a portion of the crib and completely scratched/dented it. They only gave me $30 for this.
I also caught one of the movers WALKING on my tool chest in the moving truck.
MILKING the CLOCK: the movers took their sweet time "packing up" everything to run up the clock.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: is completely rude. They were not willing to work with us on any of these issues to make it right. On top of that they sent me multiple invoices with different prices but all with the same invoice number.
When it was all said and done, I had a $1700 bill for one truck three guys to move me 15 miles. Choosing Move Central was one of the worst decisions in my life.

I booked the move with Jay Ortiz, who seemed very kind and responsive. He quoted me $135/hour, and everything was confirmed for Friday, 3/11 between 8-10a. Two movers arrived promptly at 8a, a scrawny guy and a bigger one, which made us slightly concerned that they would get everything done. They started promptly, and confirmed that it would take them 1.5-2 hrs to get everything out.... it ended up taking them 4 HOURS just to move everything out of our 2 bedroom apt, and all we had left was furniture as we had moved all little items the week prior!!!
The bigger one was complaining that their foreman undersold them, and it should've been a 3-man job. My husband and I agreed with them, and were understanding. Then, when it came time to disassemble the beds, they said they didn't have any tools to do so because their foreman said there was no disassembly requested, which is a lie. My husband had to go out twice to get tools, which of course delayed the process even further!! Ok, fine, mistake here.
We FINALLY get everything out and the movers made a stop to pick up another piece of furniture at my parents. Per my mom, they were sitting around waiting at their house, when they could've easily knocked on the door. They were 100% trying to delay, so they could charge us more! NOT OK!
After picking up that piece, they finally arrive at our final destination and begin unloading the truck. They were THE SLOWEST of slow, and at one point, the bigger man walked in with just a 2 lbs. blanket ladder. My mom, who came to help, called him out and told him that he couldn't be just walking in with one measly item! He claimed that he needed to get all the little stuff out first... YEAH, OK!. So I decided it was finally time to call the foreman and complain. I spoke with both Jay and Frank, who were BEYOND rude, and I told them that they were extremely slow, and I was not going to be paying for a 10+ hr. move, when it was quoted 4 hrs (MIND YOU, WE NEVER SIGNED ANY KIND OF CONTRACT, SO WE WERE NOT LEGALLY BOUND). I requested a discount and confirmed they would give me $100 off.... THAT'S IT?! I told them both that that wasn't acceptable, and they then called the movers to have them stop moving things and threatened to pack up the truck and take it to their warehouse!!! They said they would not restart the move unless we paid upfront, which makes no sense given that the move was not complete!!! Like excuse me, but this is our property and am by no means legally bound to pay you!! After many calls back and forth, he then claimed that there was no discount, but luckily, we were on a recorded line.
After much arguing with both the movers and foreman. The bigger mover offered to move all things in 2 hours and leave. We agreed, and we finally got everything out, and they left. The foreman called me one last time and confirmed that I would get the $100 discount, plus $66 back, since they finished in 1.5 hrs vs. 2. Oh, thanks for the discount, Jay! So kind...
All in all, it was an absolute JOKE of a move... I will NEVER use them again, and I HIGHLY suggest against anyone using them unless you want to get severely taken advantage of and work with complete a-holes!
Oh, also, money is MAGICALLY missing out of one of our dressers, which neither my husband nor I moved prior....

The consultant will quote you one thing and change it a different amount at the end of the move. Be careful with this hourly rate! it's a scam!
I received a quote to move a 1 bed, 1 bath apartment, that's 700SF. I agreed to get their services and move forward, considering I only had a few things to move. ( fits into in a 10x5’ storage unit) Also the destination was not far, it was literally down the street.
The consultant recommended a 3 man crew and quoted me at $180 an hour x 3 hours (+$175 for 1 heavy item) = $715.
I agreed to this considering I only have a few things to move.
The 3 movers took their Time! in every way possible to make it last a full workday.
It went from a 3-hour job to a 6-hour job and My total balance due at the end was $1,300.
I've moved many times in the past and I know for a fact that a full 1bed,1bath takes about 3 to 4 hours. $1,300 to move a 10x5’ storage unit down the street is High way robbery!
Just want the community to be aware
I’m typically very fair and very lenient when it comes to giving bad reviews because I understand how damaging they can be. However, this 1 star is justified as it took these guys 12.5 hours at $175 per hour (over priced, going rate is $125 for 3 guys) for less furniture than it took the last guys 5 hours to do.
5 beds, 3 dressers, 4 night stands, coffee table, 4 end tables, mini fridge and 22 boxes.
Took them 12.5 hours, $2,300 and on top of it their truck broke down. I had spent an hour going to get the parts and fixing the truck to get them mobile again.
12.5 hrs at a premium (and had damages) for less furniture than the other movers did in 5 hrs.
Overcharge
they Overcharged me about 1K and was not fair. The agreement says one thing. They charge for stopped time, extra time and they never did that.

If I can rate this company a negative 100, I would. These people cancelled on me twice. The moving company cancelled on me twice. I first spoke with Juan Carlos Ramirez who took my initial call. He scheduled my move for yesterday, Friday January 14th with ETA between 8:00-10:00 only to get an email at 9:45 am that my move has been rescheduled for Saturday, the 15th. Today that its Saturday, 10:00 am has passed so i call the company. Martin picked up the phone. He said that driver cancelled again. I told him this is unacceptable.They should have let me know instead of me waiting for nothing. Martin said he is looking for a replacement driver. And that he will call me back. 2 hours later, I call and Smith picked up the phone, he said there are no drivers. There are even no movers to begin with. They should have called me instead of me waiting for nothing. I felt deceived. The 415 phone number I was calling Juan Carlos Ramirez from was also disconnected. If you were in my shoes, how would you feel? A disconnected business line, customer service people and dispatchers passing you from one person to another promising theres a moving crew. Martin even suggested if I can reschedule again for the third time for tomorrow. This is fraud. They did not provide the service they promised to deliver. I lost 3 days from work because of their fly by night activities and I will definitely report them to Better Business Bureau as well. Angel Silva, please refund my $100 deposit because if you dont Ill make sure Ill dispute the charges with my bank because you did not deliver a service you promised to deliver. That is fraud.

We used Central Moving Company last year for our move from Los Angeles to San Diego and had a great experience. Despite our movers being 4 hours late, the we're great once they arrived and a manager called to apologize and offer a small discount for the inconvenience. Because the guys that moved us were so great we opted to use you guys again for our recent move from San Diego back to LA.
This time it was a nightmare. We were given a quote when booking and we had cash ready as the cash price was less than card. We were told that wardrobe boxes were included in our price and we opted to use them (which we packed ourselves). The movers informed us upon arrival that all of our furniture and some of our other items would need to be repacked by them. While I do understand policy being in place for insurance purposes, this was not an issue last time we moved with you. And your employees NEVER disclosed the additional costs associated with them wrapping or replacing anything. They spend SO MUCH extra time unnecessarily packing and repacking our items and using and INSANE amount of wrapping and tape. Because of this they took WAY longer than the guys we had a year ago. And the bigger issue with all of this is that at the end of our move they charged us DOUBLE what we were quoted. I've worked in customer service for 15 years and I understand companies having their own policies and additional time and items costing additional money, however your employees should be required to disclose these costs PRIOR to doing anything beyond the original quoted price. This is absolutely shady and disgusting. We have a newborn and purposely hired a moving company that we had previously used in order to make things easier on us. Your movers took complete advantage of us. I would have been more than happy to pay for additional hours and additional materials had your employees been more honest and upfront about pricing increase. A simple, "hey we are coming up on our quoted timeline and still have a ways to go, just want to give you guys the heads up that each additional hour will coat X amount" or " hey each box we use or roll of tape is an additional X amount" would have made your business seem reputable. To just slap us with a price that was double at the end of a move day is absolutely disgusting and unprofessional. Exhausted from a long day, my husband paid the remaining balance with a card as he was told by the dispatch guy on the phone would be given at the cash price because of the miscommunication. To make matters even worse we were charged the "additional credit card use" amount several days later without our consent. This is illegal. And has now forced us to consider sending the entire situation over to our lawyer as it has left a severe bad taste in our mouth that we feel completely taken advantage of.
UPDATE: the manager Martin Hernandez has spent over a month sending me copy and paste emails and wasting my time completely. He has made the situation much worse. And has still yet to refund the UNAUTHORIZED charge on our card.

DO NOT USE THEM! Very dishonest about pricing. Scheduled a move for Oct 22nd and told them everything that was going to be apart of the move and received an hourly quote. Day of my wife received a call from on of their movers Mel who was extremely rude to her and was being completely unprofessional. They also told us they werent going to be able to make it that day and needed to reschedule til the next day Oct. 23rd. This was extremely inconvenient because this was our last day of the lease and we had scheduled our move with them over a week in advance. On the 23rd they sent out their team and once they got to our house, they told us it was going to be an extra $250 each for a safe and dresser which we had already previously told them about (weight, dimensions, etc) and were never told was going to be an extra charge over the phone. After negotiating with their customer service they were not able to honor their original hourly charge which was supposed to already include these items since we mentioned them upfront. We cancelled the service and told the movers to leave. Now they do not want to refund me back the deposit because we cancelled the move ourselves. These guys take no responsibility for their timeliness, lack of communication, being upfront, and just operating with integrity. We ended up using Best Fit Movers and received a way cheaper quote. Come to find out the owners of Best Fit Movers and Move Central are relatives. Now it makes sense why they no longer are the same company. Long story short do not use these guys, save yourself the money and headache of dealing with this extremely unprofessional company.
Give me my deposit back.

They did not show up on my moving day! They kept postponing the time on the move day and eventually they said that they can’t make it today! Even though we book them 1 month in advance. They caused us so much damage. Worst experience ever. We end up getting a haul and move ourselves last minute.

I got charged for 2 rolls of shrink wrap and only one was used and the movers took the second roll with them, 2) my crate was supposed to be built at warehouse and brought to my house instead the mover was told the morning of and had to built onsite and took just about 2.5 hours when he could have been doing other stuff 3) didn't know they were going to use bubble wrap and when I noticed it was to late and for 1.5 rolls I was charged $225 which I could have gotten it a home depot for a third of price if I know ahead of time 4) they use paper padding and charge $10 a sheet when it should only be like $2 a sheet and they said they used 25 but I have no way of verifying this 5) I was told all my stuff would fit in three vaults but notice a charge for 5 vaults. With this company is not transparent on anything and they over charge on stuff and and also nickel dime you. They tried to charge me for 3 more custom crates that were never used. Thank good I decided to go in detail with invoice. I called customer service and they were supposed for find out the information on the issues I had and three days later still no response just a $500 charge for the storage when web site states one month storage free. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Don't understand how they can get away with hitting you with high charges and you have to pay because they have all your stuff. I must add we packed we everything ourselves and still had to pay $3000 and another $500 for storage a month when I was told first month was free. I will be storing my stuff here until I retire in nine months; but will be looking for a more trustworthy place. Stay away for this company. Total rip-off. Scamming at it's fines. Customer service is no help may I add and will never call you back like they say.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! They are the worst. To begin with when they arrived, they arrived without the necessary equipment to move everything. One of them I can say that he was just 18 years old. They took a long time to collect everything and therefore they charged us a lot of money. They scratched our walls and stained the entire carpet. They are thieves, they ended up charging us much more than what they had told us. Besides they had told us that there were two containers and at the time of charging us they charged us 3. Do not do it with them I promise you will regret it.

Then they offer pennies on the dollar for reimbursement. They will quote you one price, force you to sign waivers and additional costs during the move process when they know they have you locked in, then run your credit card without your approval at drop-off. Oh, and they don't re-install the furniture that they break down, like bed frames, so you're stuck with that. Just a nightmare company.

I received a quote for 1 truck & 2 movers to move my furniture from CA to TN. I agreed upon the price, put my deposit down and day of the move received a call from Anthony that it was going to be more money. They charged me for 4 hours of labor at the price of 2 movers instead of 1. I contacted the company and they were of no help. Do not use this company, they will charge your card and give you zero assistance. I had to submit a claim to the BBB and file a dispute with my credit card company.
Simply no accountability and responsibility.
After 8 months they never showed up to return my Table legs nor just take the damn table head. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Don't waste your time and money with them.
Day of move a NO SHOW
They called at the time they were supposed to be at our house to move us only to say they couldn’t make it. We have to be out of our house and now have no one to move us. This is probably the worst thing a moving company can do to a client. It’s a Sunday and with work on Monday and throughout the week this is completely unacceptable.
