darkening of fretboard

Monty's (Acton) did me wrong
Took my guitar to Monty's (Acton) a few years ago, after the headstock was snapped off in an M40 car crash (during which i was asleep on the back seat).
They glued it back on securely but didn't finish the job properly, leaving the neck feeling rough and looking messy.
After a few years their work started deteriorating; not having received any reply to emails / voicemails i then had to take it elsewhere for the work to finally be done properly.
Factor in they charged loads and at the time rudely insisted on repeating that i myself had broken the guitar, have decided to leave this honest appraisal.
The guitar now having been sorted by another better and more helpful workshop was also a factor in realising that Monty's were more interested in the $$$ than doing the right job on a working musician's axe.
No love from or for these guys - i'd recommend looking elsewhere.

At Monty’s, we stand by the quality of our work and the service we provide. Every repair is covered by a full warranty, and if you'd raised any concerns at the time, we would have addressed them without hesitation, and if you had contacted us anytime in the last five years, we would also have been happy to look at the issue and do our best to make it right. However, we have no record of any emails or voicemails from you in this time and our contact details have remained the same and publicly available throughout.
We do not assign blame when assessing damage, our priority is always to carry out the best possible repair. We hold ourselves to a high professional standard and never present unfinished or subpar work to a customer. We also don’t accept payment unless the customer is satisfied.
While we’re glad to hear your instrument is now in good shape, it’s disappointing to read a review that doesn’t reflect our usual standard of service. If you’d like to discuss this further or clarify any details, you’re welcome to contact us directly on 07921 916 053.

All the information in the site is…enlightening
All the information in the site is clear, the videos on YouTube are great and the products are fantastic, both in quality as in the function of being able to fill the real needs of guitarists. Excellent monitoring of the order all the way to the end. Please continue like this, it is incredible to have such quality European products, and not having to allways outsource it in the USA.
