Bought two watches from them.

After months and months, I started a chargeback and suddenly they wanted to talk to me after ignoring emails for weeks. Amazingly they sent one of the watches if I cancelled the chargeback. I took the risk and actually got one of the watches. They of course sent the wrong colour and then ignored me.

I have 0% hope the second watch will come and I note the emails being ignored is back on and the website is down.

Scammers, pure and simple. I see others got if worse than me, at least I got one watch but I still got scammed.

BUYER BEWARE! Either they completely fraudulent or cosmically inept and inefficient. Either way DO NOT PURCHASE a watch from Monitor Watches!

I purchased 3 watches and they scammed me out of all 3. Fortunately, my CC companies have reimbursed me for 2 watches. The third watch is still under investigation. Company run by crooks. POS

Montoir Watches had a second launch on Kickstarter in January 2025, raising about $80K. It became apparent mid 2025 that Montor were not delivering their watches to the Kickstarter supporters, however reselling their production run via email advertisement's. As of August 2026, the majority of the Kickstarter supports, including myself have not received the watch we paid for. Their website has closed down, unable to contact them. It appears a scam from the start, the brand name is now forever tainted. Don't be mislead, my advice is DO NOT put an order in for one of their watches, you may not see your $ or watch order. I ordered one of the limited watches back around June 3rd 26 and as of today I have not received anything. I emailed Monitor and to my surprise I received and email back stating
There is a 60-business day lead time with a 3–5-day handling time. We are currently on the 52nd day. We are currently fulfilling this order

8/16/26 Update
No more communication from Monitor Watch as to the status of my order. The Website is down and not working. The emails to customer service are getting kicked back. Delivery Status Notification (Failure) if this isn't the shadiest thing Ive got into in a long time. I will be contacting my CC on Monday or Tuesday to submit a Fraudulent charge and report this company - For future reference buyer be aware this is not a trusted company. I doubt there is any way Ill end up with the watch I ordered.

Enough of this Liars and Scams, Its been over then 90days still no watch, All responded email from them just fake solutions and act like they trying to resolve all issues with shipment with many things that they bought up.. Go search on Reddit and 99% of peoples still waiting for the watch or get refund back.. SCAMS !!!

What a shame. They make beautiful, well made watches (only know this, because I bought a pre-used one). Their communication is excellent right up until the point you part with money, then nothing. After several attempts to contact, I had to do a section 75 to retrieve monies paid.
Avoid. If they're not crooks then they do a great impression.

Scammers do not buy. Ordered a watch and stopped getting any updates, no response from them, had to file with my credit card company trying to get a refund. This company is crooked.

Paid for two watches Sept 2025. No updates or emails as to production status or delivery date as of April 2026. It’s now July 2026 still no delivery and they have stopped replying to emails and their website is now very sketchy with nothing in stock and a note saying something like "for 2026 we are focusing on delivering". I have filed a dispute with my CC company. Cutting my losses ash’s will look for more credible company.

After some initial issues with delays and lack of communication, I received the wrong watch without the additional band that was to come with it. I sent it back and immediately received the correct watch with the correct bands. It's a beautiful, well-made watch that is a definite compliment magnet. They even threw in some extras to make it right. The good balances out the bad, and their willingness to work with me would make me consider doing business with them in the future.

I have had a terrible experience with Montoir Watches. I ordered a watch and a ss bracelet, but after waiting several months and receiving nothing, I cancelled the order.
Montoir told me that they had issued a refund but I have not received it. I repeatedly contacted Montoir customer service about my refund, only to be given excuses about the refund showing 'at their end' and promising to resolve the issue.
At this point I have accepted that Montoir have no intention of refunding my money, and I intend to seek redress through my bank.
I would suggest that potential buyers avoid Montoir Watches completely.

I’ve been trying to resolve a refund issue with Montoir Watches for several months now.

A refund was confirmed on their side, but it has still not been received, and no traceable transaction reference has been provided.

I’ve made multiple attempts to resolve this directly and even proposed alternative payment methods, but communication has now stopped.

I’m still hoping this can be resolved professionally and promptly.

Really nice dive watch. Received it fast, well packaged and great communication answering my questions prior to purchase.

I've ordered watches from the Montoir team for the past couple of years. Always great comms and the order process is really easy. Any questions or requests they're quick to respond, and very accommodating. I have three more watches on order and no doubt there will be more added to the collection as the company and range grows.

This company is scamming people. I ordered a watch from them in August 2025 and to this day I didn't receive it.

I did contact their customer support few times and each time they apologize and say that the watch will be shipped by the end of the week, which of course doesn't happen.

Other customers on Reddit had same experience as I did.

I'm cutting my loses here and moving on, but just want to avoid other people getting scammed out of their money as well.
