The company is completely AI run! From the front desk, to escalation team, to the managers--they are all artificial intelligence bots. It really isn't impressive that a company has no humans working within any connection based points for clients. It is very unreassuring and embarrassing! What world is this we now live in?? Don't be fooled by the accent. They are all AI including the email response teams!!!

La mia brutta esperienza con MoneyGram per il trasferimento di denaro in Egitto

Vorrei condividere la mia esperienza negativa con MoneyGram quando ho cercato di inviare denaro in Egitto. Purtroppo è stata un’esperienza piena di problemi e complicazioni che non mi aspettavo da un’azienda che dovrebbe essere specializzata nei trasferimenti di denaro.

Ho provato a inviare il denaro tre volte con metodi diversi e ogni volta ho avuto un problema che ha impedito il completamento del trasferimento in modo normale. Nell’ultimo tentativo ho inviato 470 euro e mi sono stati addebitati 5 euro come commissione per l’invio. Il denaro è arrivato effettivamente in Egitto, ma il problema è iniziato quando la banca lì ha rifiutato di consegnarmi il denaro.

Secondo me, se c’è un problema tra la banca in Egitto e MoneyGram o qualche tipo di accordo tra loro, non è colpa del cliente. La questione dovrebbe essere risolta tra l’azienda e la banca senza mettere il cliente nel mezzo. Come cliente volevo semplicemente inviare denaro normalmente, non trovarmi coinvolto in problemi amministrativi o contrattuali tra due parti.

A causa del rifiuto della banca di consegnare il denaro, ho chiesto a MoneyGram di restituirmi l’importo. Dopo molte difficoltà e tentativi di contatto, il denaro è stato finalmente restituito, ma con una sorpresa: mi sono stati trattenuti comunque 5 euro, nonostante io non abbia beneficiato in alcun modo del trasferimento.

Alla fine ho perso tempo e denaro senza ricevere alcun vero servizio. Volevo solo inviare denaro in modo semplice, ma il risultato è stato una perdita senza una spiegazione chiara fino ad oggi.

Sulla base di questa esperienza, spero che l’azienda migliori il modo in cui gestisce i problemi tra lei e le banche, invece di lasciare che il cliente ne subisca le conseguenze.

The worst wire transfer company I’ve ever dealt with

Just let me explain this horrible experience first of all I had a mortgage that was to be reinstated from a foreclosure PHH MORTGAGE, which is another story. I’ll revisit that in the next review so their choices to pay the money all was throw money gram my mom‘s bank account or the mail. This was the weekend in the type of tank. My mom banks was not open and they had no online source to transfer money and of course who’s gonna use snail mail so I chose Moneygram didn’t think I would have any issues with them. I’ve used Western Union in the past they’re very similar.

So on January 19, I sent in my payment because I had state assistance and I had to send my payment of $1855 before Michigan sent theirs payment of $2000. which is another entity that takes his time and doing things put their check in the mail. 

This whole experience was total chaos. just to do what I needed to do to save my mother‘s house from foreclosure. PHH MORTGAGE decided to send the money back because they upped the reinstatement fee and wanted to total balance all at once so they supposedly refund it the $1855 to Moneygram. It is now February 17 and I still have not received my funds. It is a month later. I have asked them multiple times and I keep getting these people from all parts of the world telling me to wait 10 days for my money to come and it has not come yet I can’t seem to get no information I went to Comerica Bank, which is where the money was initially withdrawn from buy Moneygram. I asked them to do a claim and they tried to call as well and got the same information these people are totally horrible. If I were you, I would always go to my bank for wire transfers and never use moneyGram. They are horrible. There’s all kinds of people from all around the world handling your account and you don’t know who you’re gonna get on the phone. You can barely understand them at all. This company needs to be closed for good. They are ridiculous and their customer service is the worst.

Very disappointing MoneyGram experience

I sent money and MoneyGram estimated the receive amount would be 32,125, but the receiver only got 24,925.

I was told that local taxes or regulations might apply, but this large difference was never clearly communicated before sending. The lack of transparency made me feel misled and frustrated.

Be careful when sending money — the final amount can be drastically less than what is shown.

I don't recommend this company to anyone.

For some reason customers service is a dying trend.
Seems money gram is failing in the court of public opinion.
It used to mean something to have professionalism in business now it's just a mash of errors.
pissing of loyal customers and making Snap judgements without any proof.
They are so over regulated by governments around the world it must be like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole,
What a mess money gram and others are.
leaving on standards of customer care.
Their care factor has slipped to Zero.
If they were a political party they wouldn't even have a chance it's bad policy to Keep making customers your enemies.
Bad customer service
Poor at fielding customer complaints and woeful for customer resolution.
🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡 5 clown rating because it seems they are running a circus at money gram, a sad sad comedy show. I think look at score average for money gram these days they have fallen a very long way from where they once were it used to be almost a catch phrase now the words money gram are cringe worthy.

Don't waste your time or money you will regret it they still owe me $33 that they short changed me.
Quality basic customer service is dead.

MoneyGram used to be a good and…


MoneyGram used to be a good and reliable service, but now it has become very disappointing.
There is no real contact number – the number shown on their website feels like a virtual “Onoff” number, not a proper customer support line.

Filing a complaint is pointless, because even if you submit one, nobody replies with a real solution. They only send automated responses and never actually fix the issue.

This is extremely frustrating and feels like a scam. Instead of improving their service, they ignore customers and leave problems unresolved.
I trusted MoneyGram in the past, but now my experience shows that it has become unreliable and unprofessional.

I had a very frustrating experience…

I had a very frustrating experience with this money transfer platform, and I found their call center to be equally disappointing. After 15 days of persistent follow-up, they finally refunded my money. I spoke with Ms. Tonia, who was unhelpful and seemed to only repeat phrases like "I am sorry for this," "I am sorry for that," and "I cannot do it; please confirm it" without providing any real assistance.

However, I did have a better experience with their supervisor, Mr. Samia, who helped me to resolve the issue in the end.

Exploitative and corrupt . Do not trust

My aged mother transferred money from Guinea to Soith Africa to spend time with her haughtier for Christmas 3 weeks ago . The money is still tied up in the system . Your customer service is inept . You are holding my mothers money hostage??? It’s Christmas and you have essentially robbed her without any reason . Absolutely loathsome company

One star is excessive for this company.
Last night, I called customer service was in Philippine for assistance in sending money due to down kiosks at three CVS locations. However, the supervisor Rose provided incorrect information, and my rewards were not applied to transaction case number 37370696. As a result, I was unable to use my rewards or send money in a timely manner, despite using the service for a long time 25 years and more . Today called again. Trying to remedy the problem, but it was a nightmare on the phone. phoned again today. I was trying to get the error fixed, but it was a nightmare. The supervisor, Jess, refused to give her identity as the first name department stated that it was personal information, which is untrue. Instead, she repeatedly said "calm down" and keeps repeating over and over "told you a while ago" to escalate the call, continuing to act carelessly and rudely .The terrible call lasted for almost an hour and nine minutes without effective assistance, and when I asked to file a complaint, she filled it out with a false statement. Jess purportedly , refused to transfer me to another agent. In the end, I told Jess Case #37373131 that I would be using Western Union instead, and she ended the call when i said that I would never use Money Gram again due to her unsatisfactory assistance, which was sarcastic and disrespectful. Since Money Gram turned into a hostile service for customers, I will disseminate this information globally. Finally, it took me three minutes to use the Western Union service.
