Update: My customers ECM was returned to me finally as of 3/6/26.

I am in complete disbelief & Professionally speaking, flabbergasted! In my 30 years of being a business owner, I have never seen any company operate in such an unprofessional, cunning, deceptive and absolutely ignorant way. There are no words to accurately describe the amount of stress they have caused me personally & my customers. I still have no answers 2 months into this demoralizing game they are playing. I sincerely hope the State of Florida pulls their license and someone goes to jail for the corruption coming from their business.

Scam alert beware sent out my pcm to be fixed after a week they tell me it can't be fixed the charge me $278 and only want to refund me a parcel refund of $81 I just received my pcm back from them and it looks untouched by them they never even took the chance to even look at it bad bussness bunch of scammer

2009 Nissan Titan crank/no start in cold weather. Despite the negative reviews module experts received I sent my ECM to them, spoke with a few very professional employees, they refurbished the ECM during the holidays and sent it back promptly and I have not had a problem with the truck starting since.

Called them to fix a computer for a 1994 Ford Ranger, guy told me no problem so I sent it off. Got the computer back and installed it, same problem, called them and they wanted to charge me shipping to send it back to them, got them to cover it so I sent it back. Just got it back and it still has the same problem, called them for a refund and was told I could not get a refund because of a diagnostic charge. So they charged me to tell me what I already knew. Now I'm just out the money and to bad for me I guess......THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS, THEY COULDN'T DIAGNOSE THEIR WAY OUT OF A WET PAPER BAG.

I drove all the way up there from St Augustine and left my jeep module for five days they never even opened. It said it was not repairable. How do you do that without opening it? Then they wanted $599 when they told me they would fix it for $200. These people are a rip off!!

I sent my ABS Module to them off of my 2015 Cadillac SRX to repair. They said the mother board was destroyed and offered to sell me a used one. I was told these were VIN specific so I was leery and just asked it to be returned. They charged me $150 diagnostic fee. I then sent it to Automotive Circuit Solutions in Missouri, where they promptly fixed it and returned to me. It's still in and going strong! If you want it done right send it there! I contacted Module Experts requesting the $150 back since they misdiagnosed the module. Darrell, the liar handling my order, said he would send the reimbursement but hasn't til this day! They are FAR from Module Experts and will deceive you!

I sent my ecm unit in to module expert and the did not even diagnose or fix my unit they told me it was irreparable and I would have to send an additional 660 dollars on top of what I paid to fix it which in Thier own phone recorded conversation they refmanufactor or refurbish your unit at a price but they lied and try to get more money out of you please do not use this company Thier a scam check the reviews

Call them and they said they could check it. Shipped it to them on a Monday, Charged me $160.00. They shipped it on Friday I get it on Monday.
I had a cold starting problem for the last 6 plus years. The truck has 214k miles on it. I just reinstalled it and it fired right up. But it was warm out. So this morning it was 55 degrees and it started right up. It same's to be running better now then before. They said they also updated the software so maybe that's why.

They told me that they will fix my module for $500. I sent the module, a week later they call me and said my module was unfixable and for $500 more they will one. I asked for my money back. They said they will charge me $250 for checking the module and that I have to pay for the shipping. So I end up paying $1,000 and they took like 6 weeks to sended back. After a year and a half later the module is failing again. , 😕

After being in the core business for almost 35 years i should have known better. We took them over $25k worth if cores. Once we got there the owner said he couldn't meet us that day. But if we wanted to drop them off he would just send us a check. Well after waiting almost 2 weeks I get an email stating that some of my duramax ficms and idms they couldn't use. So i told them to just put everything back on a pallet and we would pick everything back up. Well once we got back to get everything I noticed that all of my 7.3 idms had the covers removed. And they were not then same units I dropped off.. And everyone of the duramax ficms had tape on them were they wrote burnt on the tape. Its funny how they were wanting to buy over half my stuff. And when i go to pick it up its all junk. Most of the stuff I took them was good cut-out units. But even my cores were good rebuildable units. Ive been in this business to long to buy burnt junk. Leave alone try to sell them a cores.
So long story short if you have cores to sell find some where else to take them unless you like losing money. These guys suck... Should have never left my stuff without getting paid. My mistake I wont ever forget this one...

Dont use them.. sent my bcm to me 3 times..paid shipping 3 times. bought new bcm none of them worked. run away from these people. so it cost me about 250 to find out they are a horrible company...boardline scam artist.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Darrell in customer service is extremely rude. Paid $500 dollars for a GEM module that didn't even work. Don't waste your time. I was a first time customer and was treated terribly. Darrell was very rude and told me that all of the issues were my problem. After reading all of the other reviews there is a reason that 95% of the reviews are 1-star ratings. Buyer beware. Spent almost 2hrs on the phone with them, 6-different phone calls.

I brought my car to Motorhead NY in Watertown, NY in January 2025. They said they needed to rebuild and clone my computer and that it should only be about a week. They sent it to Module Experts. Every time Module Experts sent it back it kept coming back with codes still on the module. Motorhead said it was not rebuilt/cloned properly. This happened at least 4 times over the course of 4 months. Every time they got it back from Modular Experts it was improperly rebuilt. Got the car back on Friday, May 16, 2025, and it is STILL showing codes and Motorhead has given up. After FOUR MONTHS of this back and forth. I have it in another garage and they say they cannot communicate with the module. I called Module Experts just now (May 19, 2025) and they said that, yes, it was delayed, but they claim they only got the module a month ago (in April) and only sent it back once and it was done properly. When I reminded them that they got it back in January and it was wrong 4 times, he said "I have to get back to sales calls" and hung up.

I really wish I'd seen the reviews before I sent my ECM in for repair. I was told it'd be 2 to 3 business days before I had the part back, but when I call to try and find out the status or any information whatsoever, I get voicemail and no call back. No matter who you do speak with, they won't give you a straight answer about anything. Then they lie and say, oh, it's 2 to 5 business days just for them to look at the part, and they still can't even advise the status - was it fixed? Can they fix it? I do not believe this place is so busy that they can't return a call after a week. Please heed everyone's advice and find somewhere else.

Sent a module in, they called back said they could not "rebuild" it, then sold me a "remanufactured" for a lot more money, which wad wrong. Sent that one back a could not get a full refund. Do NOT do business with these people!

They rip me off,said to send mine in and they rebuild it for 268 dollar,then called me and said it couldn't be built,said I needed new 1450, didn't send my old 1 back and changed my credit card 1450 come to find out my old 1 wasn't bad after all it was my tcm, crooks

These people are crooks, criminals that are robbing people. They said they can fix the module and then turn around wanna sell me a replacement for 4 times the amount of the repair; they wanna charge me $175 for diagnostic fee after I told them another company told me they couldn’t fix. Beware of these wolves. I’m gonna my money one way or the other.

Package never came so when I called they said that my module was beyond repair that they'd send another. That never came so I called and was told the same thing and when I clarified that this was the second one they said that now they were ordering a refurbished one to send out. But aren't you the refurbished? So I'm confused amd was told to wait more time. At this point I've needed a rental car that is costing so far as much as a new module form factory. The manager doesn't return calls or ever get on the phone. As with most businesses in Florida they just do whatever they want without any reprocussions.
