My order was processed fast and shipping was quick. One set of prints were too dark which was my picture I guess but I think it would be nice if editing would catch it and give you the choice of cancel or retaking photos

Vastaus yritykseltä mixam.ca
Hi Susan, it’s great to hear your order arrived quickly, thanks so much for sharing that. We are sorry to hear one set of prints came out darker than expected though.
When an order is confirmed, it acts as the final go ahead that everything has been checked and you’re happy to proceed with printing. We always recommend taking a moment to review the artwork thumbnails, The Preview, and the download the proof, as that gives the most accurate representation of how your files will print.

That said, it’s worth keeping in mind that digital screens are backlit, so colours and brightness can appear different compared to the final result on printed paper.
We also have lots of helpful on line support pages about colors, and how to set up your files, so you may want to give those a try, but if needs be, we also have our very helpful team on hand if you need any help or support.

I felt it was difficult to assess what type of paper would be needed. Having a feature to visualize the type of paper would be a good addition. Great quality for the book overall.

Hi Francis, Thanks so much for your kind words, we’re really glad to hear you’re happy with how your book turned out.
We really appreciate your feedback as well. Choosing the right paper can definitely feel a bit tricky, so that’s a great suggestion about having a way to better visualize the options, we’ll be sure to pass that along.
In the meantime, we do have a paper support page with descriptions that might help for future projects:

and you can also order a sample pack

Beautiful family memento!
Quality of final book is beautiful. We compiled several pdfs created over 25 years by family members into a single pdf with graphics, photos and text. At letter size paper, 224 pages, 100lb paper it is big but still a
comfortable weight to handle. Our back cover photo as submitted needed a tweak and Mixam communicated options and offered a perfect fix.

Questionable delivery date
Even though I received the package before my personal deadline, I was told it would be delayed over a week which would render my project purpose moot. In the end end they did send it to me before my presentation but this has left me questioning their honoring a timeline if I would pursue bigger projects.

We’re really glad to hear your order arrived in time for your presentation, that’s what matters most, and we’re happy we could support you when it counted.
We always aim to meet our estimated timelines, and in most cases, we do. As all of our products are custom-made, our dates are shared as estimates, but we work hard behind the scenes to keep everything on track and get orders out as quickly as possible.
For any future or larger projects, especially with important deadlines, we recommend letting us know as early as possible, ideally either just before confirming your order or right after, Lve chat is great way to reach out to us. This allows us to provide the most accurate production timelines and keep a closer eye on your order from start to finish.
We’re currently in our busy end of term period, so giving yourself a bit of extra time and keeping us informed helps us make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible on our side.
We’d love to support your next project and make the experience just as successful.
So easy to use and great colour …

The process was easy
The process was easy, and the final product was good. It may have been me, but I did not see a lot of options for the book cover. As I was making a family heirloom, I would have appreciated a few premium options.

We’d love to learn more about the cover options you were hoping to see, especially for something as meaningful as a family heirloom. If you could message us through your order with a bit more detail, we can take a closer look and explore what might be possible. If it’s not something we currently offer, we’ll be sure to pass your suggestions along to our team for consideration as we continue improving our range.
Thanks again for sharing this with us, we really appreciate it.
Excellent print job
I ordered a custom size hard cover children’s book for my grad thesis project. Initially it said it would arrive on April 13th but instead it arrived nearly a week early. The quality of the job exceeded expectations. The glossy hard cover looks professional. The printers also did an excellent job respecting my exact trim size. As a designer I would recommend Mixam.

Print quality was off
Wanted to see the poster print capabilities – found alignment off, the colours were pretty muted. I'll have to try something else to see if it's the norm – or if something was askew.

Hi Scott, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we’re really sorry to hear this.
It’s a shame we didn’t hear from you sooner , if something doesn’t feel quite right, we’re always here to help and take a closer look. In the Trustpilot invite email linked to your review, there’s a quick and easy way to report any concerns. You can head to your order, click the “Report an Issue” button, let us know what you’d like checked, and upload a few photos, we’ll take it from there.
Getting colours exactly how you expect can sometimes be a little tricky, as things like paper type, RGB vs CMYK setup, and ink saturation can all have an impact. We do have a helpful guide here that might be useful:
https://mixam.ca/support/cmykchart
That said, we’d really love to take a proper look at this for you and help get to the bottom of it, so please do get in touch when you can.
