Miofive Arvostelua 

I have had a Miofive S1 for going on for two years. Up until a couple of months ago I couldn’t fault it. after that time the initial welcome message disappeared. And the voice telling you to keep up with traffic disappeared. Also, the speed limits voice and display disappeared.
I did loads of checking but couldn’t sort it. So I emailed Miofive and someone called Franklin Lo responded quickly. He asked me to send him further details and a photo of the “about” screen.
The next day he arranged for me to have a replacement camera. To me that’s what you call service. Thank you. 

Having had my new Miofive S1 dash cam only a few days I am so far very disappointed, the main issue is to do with setting up the correct time. When I access GPS information I see the time is showing GMT which is only any good in the winter months as the Miofive syncs to this. I want to set my Miofive S1 to BST (British Summer Time) but this impossible. In effect if I want to send a video of very bad driving to the police during the summer months that video will show it was recorded one hour earlier than the actual time the incident took place. This is useless and would not stand up in court. As I have used the camera I can hardly expect to return it to Amazon for a refund, they would most likely just replace it with another with the same problem. I think the best thing is to just cut my losses and bin the thing and look for a replacement from another manufacturer. I would not recommend this dash cam.... AVOID!!!

When debris smashed my window and i needed it it did not record at all despite saying recording and online the whole time. Spend your money elsewhere on a more reliable device. I suspect a card writing issue is at fault.

I bought the 7700lm top model Lifetime map updates a load of bull stopped giving updates in 2020 it seems what a company nothing but robbery MIO are a disgrace this sat nav is still top price and no chance getting InTouch easier to get intouch with ELVIS

I brought the Miofive dashcam as it was said to have brilliant night vision and clear daylight footage. This unfortunately I found to be incorrect it does not get clear readable footage of cars approaching in daylight or nighttime so is a waste of money

It would be 5 star except for one aspect, that I will come to.
The camera S1 PRO is an excellent and well priced dashcam. It is easy to fit and configure and I would recommend it.
The only down side is that although it is advertised as controllable via their app. in order to do this, you cannot have any of the following running on your phone: A VPN, Wi-Fi calling, Anti-virus software, as this interrupts the signal and the phone will not connect to the camera.
The Bluetooth advertised is merely a connection method for connecting to the WiFi hotspot created and not the way the two communicate.
This is not at all clear in their promotions and although it is a bit annoying that I can only access the camera directly and via USB, this means removing it from its in car mount, it was still a worthwhile purchase.
Their Customer services are very quick to respond and helpful. It is where I obtained this information.
