If bulk bag had of been full as it shows in the advertising picture I would have been happy with everything but I emptied the bag with 3 garden wheelbarrow loads which works out at £40 a load,I have had deliveries before which have taken over 4 barrow loads.I have sent a photo of the delivery to your email address

A little disappointed with the amount received and the size of the logs , lots of little scrappy pieces

Ordered 2 bags (1 logs and 1 offcuts) on Tuesday 6th Jan.

Was advised that delivery would be a week later 12th-14th (seemed a bit of a wait but I decided was OK).
I chased by email on 13th as I had heard nothing - I was told a delivery delay due to snow!
So delivery would be delayed to 16th.
I received an Email after 9pm on 15th - when the bags should already be underway - saying 'offcuts' wood was unsuitable and would be replaced by a 2nd logs bag.
But in addition this would cause an additional delay - now 'after the weekend' on 20th - so 14 days after I ordered.
I could understand a shipping delay or supply problem but not both.
I was promised an update 19th - nothing.
I emailed and then called 20th - no response & no update and obviously no logs!

Logs finally delivered 21st seem good quality and amount.
Delivery company were excellent, good updates so I could see where the problems were and an exact time delivery to the minute!

TLDR: Logs OK if you can wait 14+ days and with very little communication!

All the wood is wet. Half of the package far to big to put in a log burner.

Arrived later than expected but happy with what was received, good value

Easy to order and great tracking of delivery. Unfortunately the contents of both bulk bags were very wet so not burning well.

Good product, had a little bit of an issue with delivery which was sorted very promptly, in a friendly manner and very efficiently!

I have never had a delivery of wood this bad in all my days of having a wood stove. The wood was not what was subscribed and shown in the picture. Bit of pine, lots of scrap wood, not useable in a wood stove as it was soaking wet. The product was wet throughout. Do not buy from this company as they are not trustworthy.

Your reply appears to point the finger back at me for your poor service.

Firstly, the order was not dispatched within the timeframe advised at checkout, I got in touch with you on the suggested delivery date to find out where the order was and you explained that you moved house recently and hadn't sent the order so that is just a straight forward lie!

Upgrading the delivery to a Saturday makes it sound like you were doing me a favour, you didn't deliver the order when you should have and I had to get in touch with you about this, no communication from you on this beforehand whatsoever. I didn't complain in the slightest that the delivery wasn't made when it should have been and I was accommodating. I would have been more than happy to accept the delivery the following Monday.

I find the comment about my correspondence becoming abrupt and unpleasant frankly breathtaking and I feel like posting the multiple very tolerant messages pleading with you to deliver my order and to get back to me after repeatedly ignoring me - there is still a message that I sent on the 12th of December that you haven't replied to and remember, I ordered from you on the 13th of November and still hadn't received the full order by the 19th of DECEMBER. Here is an example of the apparent abrupt and unpleasant message that I sent - A further message on this, and please get back to me - having to constantly badger you is draining and incredibly frustrating to say the very least. Please can you either send me the confirmation/invoice/summary of my order to my e-mail address or make a list of the order and costs in a WhatsApp message or take a picture of the order/confirmation/invoice and post this to WhatsApp. The reason I am asking for this is I am sure that I ordered multiple bags of kindling and you have sent one bag. I think I ordered 4.

I wouldn't call that abrupt or unpleasant and if you had of replied, which you still haven't, it wouldn't have been necessary in the first place.

On all of the messages that you sent me, and I just checked, not once did you tell me that I hadn't ordered four bags of kindling. Once again a lie to make me look unreasonable.

Interestingly, within an hour of submitting this review I received my order confirmation three times by e-mail.

Your reply to this review, making me out to be unreasonable, was ill-advised. All I asked for was what I ordered along with a confirmation. Had you completed that very simple task none of this would have been necessary.

You are right, you can't please everyone all the time but had you fulfilled the very basics I would have been very happy.

Absolute shambles, literally the worst! I have been holding off leaving a review because I know it can be damaging to a small business but I really have had enough of this joke of an outfit. So many problems with my order, I ordered online and the delivery date came around and nothing, contacted them and was told they were moving home and nothing had been booked. Told It would be delivered asap. I ordered two bulk bags, firelighters and kindling. One bulk bag turned up 6 days later than expected but nothing else. After badgering them another bulk bag turned up a week later, still no firelighters or kindling. I had to get in touch with them many more times for them to arrange the firelighters to be delivered and one of the 4 kindling bags I ordered. I am still waiting for 3 kindling bags to be delivered over 6 WEEKS later and I have asked for this so many times. I have also never received a confirmation or invoice from them which I have asked for at least 10 times. I have had to revert to getting in touch with my credit card company to raise a claim against the transaction as they consistently and constantly ignore me and I have had enough of being nice with them. I'm sure if it goes well with this company then it's great, in my experience they are the worst company that I have come across in many years and I would suggest avoiding at all costs. Pay a bit more and use someone else!!!

They wood it’s self was ideal,but there was no correspondence to when it was coming.
Eventually after about 10 days later I spoke to the delivery company (I had all ready taken 2 days off work because I was told it would be delivered on a certain day but was not)they said they would call a hour before and they would deliver between 07:00 and 19:00 but just turned up.

SP midlands firewood.
I paid £85 for a big builders bag of their 'wonky kiln dried wood' it was soaking wet when it arrived and will take foreever to dry out. Bad advertising and not as described. Forget about SP Midlands firewood and never order from them.
Sp Midlands replied and said it was surface wetness and not internal. Rubbish! These were wet through to their core! The only way they could be dried out sufficiently to burn, was to place individual pieces around the stove, while burning other logs purchased from a different supplier. It took two days for the SP Midlands wood to dry out sufficiently to burn and even then only on an already roaring fire.
This was one, or two SP Midlands wood pieces sat next to the operating stove to dry out sufficiently.
They also said it was raining during delivery. SP Midlands should Cover the wood! Storing it, or delivering it while open to pouring rain defeats the purpose of kiln drying it.

Finally a company offering proper firewood with great price Im extremely impressed with our purchase and the customer service from Chloe was fantastic

I really get service. I'll certainly do this again. It was so easy and the wood is just fabulous. The big dumpy bag of wood was certainly last me through till next winter. We did have to chop some of the logs a bit shorter to fit our wood burner.

The wood is as expected - a lot of it and a great price. The delivery wasn't great though - I paid for the wood on the 2nd and didn't get any communication about delivery until 8th. I left a message to enquire about it and no one responded

Wonky wood.. ordered Monday delivered following week Tuesday.. delivery stated 2-4 days. Spoke to a nice man on Saturday morning who said it was loaded on the Friday..but would be delivered Mon or Tuesday...
It arrived absolutely soaking wet covered in sawdust and too many pieces 2-4inchs big, the amount of sawdust was ridiculous. I have had to dry store in my garage to let it dry out which will take a while, in the mean time I have had to order another bag from elsewhere as it's to wet to burn.
I am disappointed as other reviews gave positive feedback...
Would I order from them again? Unsure as unable to check the burn..

Due to no reply what so ever...I was being generous with 3, as the wetness of the wood would have been caused by the delivery company as it was loaded on the Thursday or Friday and left out in the pouring rain with no cover, I would presume...
Shame, as I always give pretty good reviews when deserved...
