I placed an item in my basket, I went to purchase it asked me to create an account, I created my account placed in my address and then paid for the item in my basket, because it was over £50 and I'm in the UK it was free next day delivery, i got the item with no issues and it gave me updates about my package.

However, they are issues we try to look out for when the items arrive in our warehouse. Any defects or damaged items will be placed in our damaged stock section. We may not have picked up on this defect if the issue was covered by the packaging of the item. We are more than happy to help with any issues so never hesitate to contact us!

Delayed order 4 times- no email. Delayed refund too.
I have ordered with MetaGeeks previously and had no problems. But my most recent order was the biggest hassle I’ve had to deal with ordering with any company ever.
Initially my order was estimated for November time, this was then delayed a month. I understand delays can happen so I was fine with it, although I did have to go out of my way to ask where it was when the estimated month ended. So I then expect it for around December time… December comes and goes and nothing again. I email, and are told it is delayed a month again. Fair enough. December comes and goes yet again nothing, I email once again asking where it is to be told it is delayed by a month again, slightly annoyed I still wait. January comes and goes and nothing, no email aswell. February also comes and goes with nothing. At this point in time I’m annoyed and I email asking why I have to keep emailing each month when the estimated date comes and goes, I am then told it is because when I ordered the email system wasn’t updated and now when you order people are notified if there are possible delays. Regardless of this, there is no excuse for this as with the amount of delays I’ve had, the least they could’ve done as a company was reach out to me as soon as they knew it would’ve been delayed themselves. I had also previously asked for compensation for this ridiculous kerfuffle, to then be told delays happen (which is true! It’s the way they went about it that wound me up- I was also told they LOST stock, which when I asked to confirm I got a snotty response lol). I then ask for a refund and they say sure give it 10 days to go through fully. Ten days come and go and again, no email and no refund, I email asking where my refund is to be told that “it’s too big of a sum to be able to be refunded straight to my card and therefore will need to be a PayPal refund”, the refund then goes through instantly. To me- this comes across as they didn’t even attempt to refund me the first time as they would’ve found out that the refund wasn’t possible due to the amount the order cost. It just looks like poor management to be honest. Soz Jordan, I know you’ll reply trying to justify it but it’s not possible xx

No justification, we totally agree with your comments regarding notifications, and as you know, have made the changes. We pride ourselves in being honest with our customers, even if this means saying that we'll check or that we aren't certain. For that reason, we always provide the most up to date information, even if it isn't perfect, we're happy that we provide this rather than lie. Unfortunately, the truth isn't always the answer we want to hear, but we'd rather give transparency, to offer you the choice with your order.
Regarding lost stock, we did not lose the stock, the logistics company did. Our response to you on January 17 stated: "the stock was delayed due to a lost shipment to our warehouse" - this is unfortunate, but there is nothing we could do here. This information was provided out of transparency, it is a shame this information has been misunderstood.
Unfortunately, delays are out of our hands. As you are aware, we don't manufacture the product, and Bandai is seriously behind on their logistics at the moment. If someone was to get it first, it would be us, as we are an official Bandai stockist (you can find us on their website). As much as I wish the we could make the product appear sooner, this is out of our hands and we hope you can understand that.
However, in regards to providing updates, this certainly is something that could be improved, and has been. Our new system provides email updates whenever a release date is changed. However, this does not apply to orders made on the old website. This is unfortunate, and we truly apologise for this, but we are yet to find a resolution for this. However, we're keen to ensure our customers are up to date, and made the effort to create a new website for this feature alone.
Regarding a delay to the refund, this is due to PayPal polices. After 180 days, we cannot refund the payment automatically. For that reason, we require your email address to pay this manually. It is not true that we delayed your refund however, as soon as we were aware it had not gone through, we sent the refund the same day. Once the email address was provided, this was refunded immediately.
We certainly take blame in the parts we have played, such as the lack of automatic updates and possibly unclear communication, and have looked into this. It seems there has been some confusion about lost shipments, and we will look at clarifying our communication so that it is clear all the time. We hope that you can understand however that some things are simply out of our control, like the manufacturing and distribution of the product. However, when dates change, we're only the messenger in the situation, frustrating though it may be. Our role is to keep our customers informed of this, and we will continue to work harder to ensure we play our part.
Truly, we apologise for the part we have played and look forward to further improving our services. :)

The product came as advertised, although the tape around the box was very weak and the box started to open, so a item could have fallen out.

The tape we use is water activated, similar to the tape Amazon uses. This form of tape bonds with the box, forming a sturdy seal. The seal cannot be opened with force and needs to be cut to be opened.
If this was open, there are two reasons for this. Either the tape has been cut and tampered with, or the box was not sealed correctly before shipping. As you haven't said the tape was cut, we will assume it is the latter reason.
We'll look into this to ensure that quality control is as good as it can be for future orders.

Ok but not 100% happy
I bought three figures from this site, each one had some kind of fault on it (print was off on one, other the eye for bulging out a lot, last one had a really noticeable seam on it). I wasn't 100% happy with them but I already opened them in a darker room and didn't really think to check over them through the box window before opening so assumed it was pointless querying about
.
I even checked the store pages in case I had bought ones with known faults or something but nothing like that was mentioned.
If it was just one I think I wouldn't have minded, but that all three had faults was a bit strange so I don't think I'd buy from the site again. I might have just got unlucky though!

We were not aware of this, as you have not been in touch. It is a shame that you did not do so, as we've have been able to help! It'd be great if you could send pictures to our email, so we can look into this for you.
We're very strict on the products we send, which is why we have a damaged section! We have a number of good reviews that say that these damages are often superficial and hard to notice. Damage to the product inside, is usually something we cannot check (as we can't take the product out of the packing to check).
It sounds like these are minor manufacturing flaws, if I'm understanding correctly. I've checked your order and can see you've purchased items from the Animal Crossing Shokugan range. Unfortunately, this type of flaw is likely on figures that cost £5 to purchase. As I'm sure you are aware, we do not manufacture the products, we only retail them. Low end items tend to have worse quality assurance as they're made in larger numbers. This means that minor faults are more likely to occur.
