Working in MedicsPro has really given me the opportunity to find better alternatives to how I worked in the past. As a result I have been able to efficiently complete tasks and manage my own work load. My team is very supportive and when I come across any issues they are there to help me.

Got through all the checks and rendered compliant to start shifts with this agency.
However, got booked into a private hospital in a weeks time and upon cancelling on the same day of booking ( 6 days before the shift) , got told that I am going to be penalised and get charged if I cancel. I explained the reason for cancellation but the consultant was still adamant that I should’t and has to find alternatives with my weekend late notice plans to facilitate attendance to the shift, otherwise I will get charged.
Well, immediately on that same day, I withdrew my commitment with this agency and cancelled all my future availabilities. I found the arrangement they had with the hospitals they are in partnership with are a bit harsh towards their clients and charging/ penalising them for cancellations with 6 days notice is very unappealing. Maybe , warning the staff first , or banning notorious staff known to cancel with very late notices could be considered but not on the very first instance a staff be told he/she will be penalised or charged with fees considering they have not even done a single shift with this agency yet.
It is good that applicants has got plenty of options these days and they are left with so many choices who they prefer to work with.

It's a very professional agency and team however unfortunately they don't recompensed you when you recommend them another nurse who start working with them as they said.
Otherwise they are friendly and helpful.

There is always room for improvement ;). - Pay could be a little bit more fare across agencies or just within the same unit. However Medics pro are very friendly over the phone, I have been in this role solely now for just over a year and I have never really had any problems getting shifts apart from on bank holidays. Compliance is very straight forward and the local office is not very easy to locate.

All my consultants including the out of hours staff are fantastic, they are polite, good communication skills and friendly. They are easy to approach as well.

Awful support from the agent that got me the contract. She did not follow up the client and she was not aware of my final day or when I was getting paid. I did actually get paid 4 weeks late and they had to chase her to sort it out as she was unaware of what was going on between the client and the accounting company.
