Meatless Meal Prep Co. Arvostelua 

There is a lack of transparency around when the food is prepared and the shelf life. When asked I was told the meals would have a shelf life of 5 days. When ordering for one person for a week, all meals get delivered on the Thursday. This means that any meals from the first half of the menu don't actually have a 5 day shelf life. I also experienced multple delivery issues with DHL meaning that my food was stuck in transit even longer than normal. On a few occasions several meals arrived on their use by date. Meals often were also not sufficiently sealed and would leak, which also called into question how long they would last. I also found the ordering system a bit clunky.

Unfortunately after persisting through a few issues, when I received a box with the majority of food going out of date the same day, I requested a refund and this was agreed. Peter then asked me to wait before he would process the refund, so I did. I waited 6 weeks, following up several times in that time. Peter stopped replying after asking me to wait, and he never fulfilled his commitent to refund me. I eventually went through my bank to claim this money back. I had high hopes, and Peter seemed like a reasonable person, but then to ignore people after you've committed to resolve something is incredibly poor.

Update: they challenged my claim with my bank and attempted to reverse my chargeback. How dare you. I have it in writing that you agreed to refund me. Dropped to one star now for your awful lack of integrity.

Tried it once. Very poor bordering on nearly no communication regarding the delivery and then a complaint. The food was mediocre for the price. Got the same berry oat pot twice instead of one berry and one peach. Unfortunately the berries in both were already spoiled. The oats were just gloopy and barely tasted of anything interesting. Meatballs were full of couscous or something similar. Carbonara included weird tasting soya chunks and the sauce was sour. The meal box had also leaked. The pancakes were tasty. But for £10 a meal it is a joke. Been asking for the berry oats to be refunded for a week now and it’s getting boring but I will not give up because I will not let anyone take my money unfairly. Not in this disgusting economy anyway.

Update: still no refund and their website is down hahha. Looking stupid now, Peter?

Mixed experience.
Sometimes the menu choices are exciting, others are boring and not in line with the season.
The biggest down fall is the delivery. In every single delivery there are damaged packages, which results in sauce all over the other packages. I have raised the issue on multiple occasions.

I feel aggrieved giving this company 1 star. There isn’t an option for 0 stars. This company is a vegan company ripping vegans off. They know they didn’t pack 3 meals and when I contacted them about it they apologised and said they would refund me, no such refund has taken place and it has been many weeks since their false promise! The meals had a next day after delivery best before date and food for the week had to be thrown away because it was out of date!
As other reviews state, tasteless, split packaging which could have happened in transit or the meals not being sealed properly.
I requested a refund for the meals they chose for me before they were even packaged and sent, but they said it was too late and it was my own fault they picked for me as I should have picked my meals from the email they sent me on Wednesday. An email that never arrived!
I made clear I would not accept delivery of the food I wouldn’t even eat. No doubt the food got thrown away……I wouldn’t give it to my dog, so the rubbish heap is the best place for this disgusting and expensive rubbish!
It’s so sad that vegans think they can rip vegans off, they deserve to close because I will never support this abysmal company ever again. They still owe me £22.50 for meals they knew they never sent!
Avoid this company like the plague!

Been a customer a while now - AMAZING FOOD! 10/10 as a vegan who can’t cook I’ve never had so much variety I love the food

Should have reviewed earlier as these negative reviews are not my experience at all - I’ve been a customer over 18 months!
Food is absolutely delicious, every week I am blown away by the new meals. I’ve only ever had one issue with delivery and that was the couriers fault (parcel went missing, it happens) - I contacted by email and a new order was sent out to me that morning and arrived the following day. Really can’t fault the food, the service or the delivery it’s been brilliant. If you’re vegan, you’ve just got to try this food!

Been ordering now for 2 years. Food is absolutely delicious I can’t fault it at all. More variety than I’ve ever seen anywhere else too - this is the best thing for me. Customer service is good too, highly reccomend

I've been a subscriber for a few months now.

Pros:
- Food is delicious
- Nice variety for vegetarians which other meal prep companies lack.

Cons:
- the seal on the meals is often not stuck on properly causing some of the meals to leak. This can be made worse when the delivery service stores the box the wrong way up, causing a huge mess. This has happened quite a few times.
- customer service is slow to respond, and often offers to replace the spilled meals, but then doesn't follow through - I still get charged in full for the next week's delivery
- there was a bug in the website recently where a meal selection from a previous week carried forward into the current week, but there was no option to unselect it. So I got charged for 4 spag bol that I never received. I sent them the screenshot saying I thought there was a bug (understandable, it can happen to anyone) so can I please be refunded for the 4 spag bol. They left me on read. An honest mistake is fine, but you can't charge me for meals that I didn't receive and then ignore my message about it?

Overall:

I love the food and I want to support small businesses. But if the leaking deliveries and flakey customer service continues, I might have to finally cancel, which would be a real shame. Plz sort these teething issues out!

Ordered for the first time and had the worst experience and response fromthe company. The meals came open. When I contacted the company they said on the next order we will throw in some freebies and if it happens again we will consider looking into further, rather than trying to resolve the situation. The meals were tasteless and had large quantities of rice in every meal. They should be calling them selves “Tasteless” instead of meatless.

Avoid this company it doesn’t compare or come close to any of the other companies offering the same product/service.

Fabulous food and really good customer service. Did find the website a bit unclear (maybe just me) so I emailed to ask a few questions. Got a response straight away and then when food had arrived the director sent me another email asking how I was finding meals and service which I thought was a lovely touch. Meals were really really nice can’t fault them. Would reccomend

Avoid buying from this company. My meals all arrived perished due to pretty much all of the plastic seals leaking and spilling onto the paper dishes. When contacted they offered to replace the meals, but I was not prepared for the same to happen again, so asked for a refund. Radio silence...no response after that despite several follow ups. Terrible, selective customer service. It's clear from these reviews this has happened before too, yet they have not changed their shipping method.

Love the meals and the service! The meals are really good and the variety is exceptional. Not seen another company with this many different meals to be had previously. I did have one issue where one of my meals arrived with the seal broken in the corner. This was rectified quickly and replaced with my next delivery. I get two deliveries a week which is perfect for me. Would highly recommend. Great small business, excellent customer service and top notch food. I’m sure I will be a customer for a long time.

Looking through these reviews all the issues seem to have been with delivery or responsiveness and I have to say that’s not been my experience at all! I reached out to the company just asking for some more info and they got back to me straight away. Customer service was great, can tell you’re speaking to a real human. Anyway I placed my first order last week and I AM SHOOK. This is actually the best vegan food I’ve ever eaten. I ordered the Beef Bourginon, Cajun tacos, macaroni cheese and a Mexican bean bowl. All of them were actually amazing. It’s now Friday and I’ve eaten them all so I will be making a much bigger order next week. Already the menu for next week is different and I can’t wait to try. The only thing is… they change their menu every week, but I really want the bourginon and macaroni cheese again! How long will I have to wait? And when they are on the menu again I will have to order so many. I think I am just wowed - can’t wait for my next order. Oh and also website is really easy to navigate and choose your meals!

Should have reviewed earlier to counter the negative reviews. Been using meatless since they started their meal prep years ago! Absolutely love the meals and the variety meatless offer. Over the years we've been with them the meals have got bigger, more varied and more delicious. Have tried other meal preps and nothing compares to meatless. Thanks guys x

The food is absolutely delicious. Delivered on time fresh and cool. I feel like I'm eating restaurant quality in my own home. No fuss, no working out calories or nutritional values, its all done for you. A special find, Ill be ordering weekly, thanks meatless team, a triumph.

Amazing food and such good customer service! I’ve loved every meal and I hate coriander and they always leave it out of mine for me. If you’re vegan and busy these meals are a godsend

Honestly so surprised by some of these reviews. This is by far the best meal prep company I’ve tried. The food is fresh, arrives freezing cold, packaging is high quality. The menu changes every week so after 4 weeks I have yet to eat the same meal twice (which is also a con because they’re so good I want them again). Customer service spot on, I messaged them on IG and WhatsApp to give praise about the food and got a response within minutes. Best meals I’ve had so far - Nduja Lasagne, Beef Bourginon with cauliflower cheese, Dirty Rice and Teriyaki Chicken. But to be honest all have been a 9 or 10 out of 10

Meals are good. Generally no issues with deliveries or quality. Customer service is a bit iffy though and sometimes takes multiple emails to get a response.
