Do NOT purchase one of these locks. Have only had it for 2 days and the combination is no longer working. Absolute waste of money.

We purchased one of their bluetooth lock box's back in Sept 2022, the date today is Aug 2023. The key safe was easy to install but somewhat a little tricky when trying to connect up to the phone app, eventually after many tires, we managed it and got the key safe working as intended. We purchased this key safe for the sole purpose of storing a key which would allow care staff, emergency services, community nurses access to my fathers property - he has very poor mobility and it's not always possible for him to get to the door. After installation, everything worked as intended, all the different services had their own number and all was good. However a couple of weeks ago (14th Aug 23), I received a phone call from the care staff, they could not gain access, the key safe was not opening. Naturally, I thought the battery might be low so I head round with a 9V battery to place on the emergency terminals at the bottom of the key safe and open it with my primary code, and a new battery to replace the old one within the unit. But when I arrived, the battery was not low, and the 9V battery I had to jump start the key safe made no difference, the key safe just did not want to open. Normally, you enter your code, the circular button turns green, there's a 'click' noise which indicates the mechanism has unlocked and you can pull the door open. What was actually happening was - Code was entered, light goes green, NO CLICK, door won't open. Even with the 9V battery attached, NO CLICK, door wont open. At this point, I started to become concerned, of course we have spare keys, but no other mechanism to externally store them securely on my fathers property. I tried to contact Master Lock to obtain some support - well I can tell you after a week I've had no email response from Master Lock and when you call the UK number, you can only speak to an answering machine. Their phone system states they are open Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm, however their phone system does not allow you to leave a message until 9:10am A day and a half goes by after the initial call from the care staff not being able to get the key out, at this point I've tried opening the key safe 15 to 20 times with no success, I was about to take a hammer to the key safe to obtain the key and replace it with a different brand, but my other half insisted I tried again, so I did. This time, the key safe sprang into action and opened - I was gob smacked!! I take the key out and close the door to the key safe, I re-enter the code and it opened!!, I go to close the key safe door, but I cannot, the door won't close, so I re-enter the code and the light goes green, but I cannot close the door and there was no 'click' noise, after several attempts, I managed to get the door to close, but now it won't lock and you can just pull it open, I re-enter the code and no 'click', you can still open the door. So now I'm thinking that this unit is faulty because it's just throwing random problems - not being able to open it for a day and a half, cannot get the door closed after being opened, now it won't lock at all!. To summarise, I don't have confidence in this key safe, I work for an NHS ambulance service in the UK and I DO NOT recommend this key safe, Master Locks support is shocking. I will be replacing this key safe regardless of its current working condition with another brand, more likely a mechanical lock also.

Apparently it’s possible to lock a master lock upside down. What a stupid thing.

Absolutely the slowest response from any company, the safe will not open and after three weeks of emails gave up and had to force it open. Don't buy not fit for purpose, one drop on the floor with no force and it opened. Old tin petty cash Tims were even stronger. And they wanted me to go to Amazon to have it replaced

MasterLock 5441 met Bluetooth geeft groen licht na ingave code maar opent niet. Alhoewel bedrijf zich commiteert om binnen 48 uur te antwoorden,reageren ze niet. Verscheidene pogingen ondernomen met zowel de app als manuele ingave om slot te openen. Steeds verschijnt groen licht voor vrijgave maar slot blijft dicht. Nog groter was mijn verwondering toen ik slot losgewrikt kreeg van de muur en met volle woede tegen vloer smakte. Kastje sprong gewoon open. Tot daar de veiligheid. Toont stevig en solide maar dus totaal waardeloos .

I have been trying to get a spare part for a security product supplied by this company. There is no email contact but an online form to which the don't respond. There is a contact page with a UK phone number for premises in Stansted Essex but it's on answering service and they don't ring back. Bad news.

Very good quality locks. My favorite, is a combination lock for our garage.

No matter what the weather is like and especially in freezing temperatures, it always opens and locks trouble free !!!

So for one the company builds locks that wont release the wrong key even if the key goes in a few notches…… they refuse to make me new keys or replace the locks that i have now lost because they key is stuck in the wrong lock, while trying to find which of the keys fits the lock. They will neither provide replacement keys nor locks…… so 5 useless locks and only one gets a replacement…..

I bought a lock box for my elderly mother (5423EURD) and fitted it, following the instructions. The lock doesn't work (it is jammed) so I now have a lock box on a wall that I cannot open. I used the online customer service to report the issue and - despite saying they reply to all contact within 48 hours - they never replied. I tried this twice. I then tried calling and they said the only option was to buy a new box and leave the original one on the wall. They had no advice what-so-ever on how to resolve the jamming issue. Avoid this company like the plague.

The master lock key safe is supposed to have a lifetime guarantee. My lock failed after 12 months when the internal setting lever snapped. I have reported this twice to master lock who say they will respond in 48 hours but I have not received any response. Needless to say I hall not be using master lock for the replacement key safe I now have to purchase.

I always assumed buying from Masterlock they would be around and I would never have any problems getting a replacement key. BAD ASSUMPTION. The company no longer makes bicycle cuff locks and won't even bother to service the locks it already sold. Completely unreliable and I will never, ever buy another lock of any kind from them.

Masterlock haven't once replied to the five e mails I have sent to them. Consequently I have used a more reliable and responsive alternative company instead. Shame on you Masterlock lost business, lost trust, lost out

Good with the Bluetooth muscle off except when I wanted to get a spare component for it and they told me I could not and sorry. It was just the shackle metal components post is probably very very easy to and cheap to source

I purchased a 643D Silver colored Master Lock for work. The instructions on the back are not accurate. The very first thing it asks you to do to set your new combination is to:
Choose your new four LETTER combination. There are no letters on this lock. It should say NUMBERS, not letters.
The spanish translation also says letters. So does the french. WHY???????

Worst lock ever. Don’t buy. I’ve had to spend 40 minutes trying to open this thing up. What does it do?? It doesn’t open. Don’t waste your money on this abomination of a lock.

C'est une honte, moins de 0,5s pour les ouvrir de manières général, pour des dizaines d'euros pour certains c'est une vrai honte, je parle même pas de leurs portes sois disant "unpickable" (bahahahaha)

Bref une honte n'achetez pas, surtout pour une zone où vous n'allez pas souvent, type une grange, un jardin etc, encore pour un casier pourquoi pas même si il y a bien mieux

We have had a MasterLock Bluetooth Lock box for over a year now, and it has been fairly good, up until it failed.

Contacted their support. Waited the 48 hours. Nothing.

I'd avoid.

Bought a combination lock and used it only twice. Unable to open it so stuck on suitcase. Connected company twice but no response. Would advise not to buy any Master Lock products.

Cadenas 1175 payé "très cher", rapidement défectueux (molette bloquée). Nombreux tutos sur internet pour expliquer comment l'ouvrir aisément ... Une catastrophe !! Next time, j'achèterai français ...

I bought 4 locks in one package. Only 2 keys! Need more keys and can't order. And, there's no way to get more copies. Will never do this again. Very disappointing. I've "locked out" Master Lock from my future purchases.
