It's not even about the money - it's about deception, poor customer service and lack of company ethic. I ordered a white dress on June 13. I received it July 24th with no communication from the company to expect such a long delivery time. By the time it arrived, I no longer needed it. Regardless, the dress was absolute garbage. Cheap knock off, fabric was of poor quality and see-through. The waist hem looked like it was done by a middle school home economics student and simply put, looked nothing like the photo. Made a claim to customer service, with an initial response to send photos. Did so as requested - radio silence. Followed up, no response. Followed up again... and was offered a $5 refund as a "gesture of goodwill". which was laughable. Went ahead and am disputing it through my bank, but sure wish I had done more research on the company before purchasing. Went to make a review on their website of the dress and it was never published.

Please the merchandise is being shipped from Shanghai China the material is of very poor quality and if you don’t size it up it’s not going to fit and lastly it will cost you to send it back.

UPDATE: After they confirmed the items were delivered now they said: "Upon reviewing your order, we noticed that one of the three items was not shipped due to being out of stock. We will process a refund for this item within two business days". So above it all, they shipped and incomplete order!

I ordered three dresses on July 7th and paid for expedited shipping (3–5 business days) because I needed them for an upcoming international trip. They went completely silent for over a week. When they finally responded, they casually informed me that only ONE dress was ready—a week later—and the others weren’t even available.

I immediately requested to cancel the entire order, not once, but several times. They ignored my requests and claimed it was “too late,” despite the items still not being shipped.

They then shipped the single item weeks later, on July 30th, even though I had clearly communicated that I would be out of the country by that time. They knowingly sent the item to an address where I couldn’t receive it.

Now, they’re demanding that I return it within 7 days, knowing I’m out of the country, and that return shipping costs $20–$40 — for a single dress that THEY delayed, that I never wanted, and that they refused to cancel.

This company is dishonest, completely unprofessional, and predatory in how it treats customers. They:

Ignore cancellation requests

Ship late and incomplete orders

Refuse refunds

Stick you with outrageous return costs

Refuse accountability at every turn

I’ve filed a formal dispute with my credit card provider, and I strongly encourage others to stay far away from this store. You’ll be throwing your money away.

There are too many legitimate, customer-focused brands out there. This is NOT one of them.

Avoid at all costs.

Do not believe the return policy that is stated on their website. I was urged to send photos of myself wearing the ill-fitting dresses in order to receive free return shipping. After doing so, I still was not provided with free return shipping but offered $17 on my $120 purchase. PLEASE do yourself a favor and avoid this headache!

Very very disappointed, don’t buy from Margovil. The material is very bad, nothing like they advertised. They don’t respond to emails, bad customer service. It’s the worst 👎👎👎

My dress was pretty but fabric like a table cloth. Upon asking to return it, they said " it would cost too much because the warehouse is in asia" and would not provide the return address.
Very disappointed.

I bought a dress which arrived. The quality of the fabric was awful. Cut edges uneven. I asked for a refund and to be able to return the item. Nope and I informed them the day after it arrived. They offer me a $5 reimbursement! Do not buy from this site

DO NOT BUY FROM MARGOVIL. They do not honor their stated return policy and the customer service experience was deeply frustrating. I purchased an XS dress that was too large in every area. Altering it would cost more than the dress itself, so I requested a return. Margovil then asked me to send a photo of myself wearing the dress to “prove” it was too big — something I've never been asked by any other clothing company. Initially uncomfortable with the request and refused to, I eventually agreed when they said they would only cover return shipping if I provided this photo evidence. I complied, but despite complying, they refused to pay for return shipping, which turned out to be $60 to Shanghai, China — more than the cost of the $54 dress. Instead, they told me to keep the dress and offered a $6 refund. I pointed out that this wasn’t the return policy shown when I placed the order, but after multiple emails, they flat-out refused to process the return or offer a full refund. This was my first and definitely last experience with Margovil. If you value transparency and fair return policies, do not buy from Margovil.

I would give zero stars if possible. BUYER BEWARE.....if you purchase an item and want to return for any reason, they do all they can to avoid you returning the item. Although they have a nicely formatted return policy online, it is not the case. I tried working with their customer service and was strongly persuaded to keep the item and was never given the return address (which isn't the same as the ordering warehouse). There is a reason they have only 1 star rating.

I still haven’t received my package after a month, and I no longer need it. I asked for a return label so I could send it back immediately after it arrives, but they said they would only provide it after I receive the package—whenever that may be. It’s a U.S.-based company that purchases from a store in China and ships directly to customers. Had I known that, I would have never placed the order, as I’ve had bad experiences with those kinds of stores before. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE, NOT WORTH TO GO THROUGH ALL OF THAT, I WISH I WOULD'VE DONE MY RESEARCH :-(

SCAM ! Horribly manufactured , Bought a size LARGE dress it has circles sewn in the front that dont even fit a A CUP breast. customer service offered me $6 for a $60 dress ! Never again , you have been warned. Oh and I tried to leave a review on their site and it got canceled

I saw a dress in an advertisement, they even had a video of the dress. It was a strapless maxi dress. The dress I received was NOT a maxi dress it was so loose in the top there is no way you could wear it, When I asked for a return they asked me to send photos, I did then they offered $6.00. then said I would have to pay for the return which would be too much DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

If I could give this company a -000 I would. They keep insisting and telling me that because their company headquarters is in Asia. I should not try and return the product and I keep asking for the address so I can get a full refund which they will not give me.

Horrible quality dress, and then when I tried return and they offered me 6$ on my 60$ purchase. Ridiculous will never order from here again

I wish I read these comments before. The items I've ordered didn't arrive on time. The ones that arrived didn't look like on the ones on the pictures. They told me that it was better to keep them.

Terrible experience , I ordered a dress for a wedding , it took 50 days to be delivered from China! , the dress was ugly as made for a costume for a play in a school , the fabric was supposed to be cotton and polyester and they sent me a cheap satin , Terribly tailored. Never again!!

If I could give them a zero I would. None of the clothes look like the picture and the quality is terrible. I echo the sentiments of everyone here on the forum. I contacted my credit card company to dispute this and to flag this company as a scam. They did give me a partial refund of 100.00 but I spent 350.00, I need a full refund. They also said it would be cheaper to keep them but I do not want to be out 200.00.

They do not honor their return policy. They will tell you it is better to keep and donate your item because it's too costly (to you) to return an item and then ignore future emails insisting on a return. It would cost me less than $9 to return a $60 item. Absolute fraudulent company

TERRIBLE! Honestly SO bummed. Make sure to read our reviews before ordering!!! I ordered about a week in advance of my birthday (June 10) and paid for express shipping. The clothes JUST got here (July 8) and missed my birthday celebration. It took a whole month for the clothes to come. Not just that but when they do arrive the fit is so big and quality is terrible. Don't be fooled like I was on Instagram!!! Hopefully I can return and get some of my money back.

Ordered a dress and was charged $54 - and never received the item! Do not order from this company. It is my fault that I never read the reviews:(
I have emailed them and they just say give it more time! I ordered for an event which has now passed. You get some bogus shipping email that never updates any tracking info- total scam.
