Mapleshelf Arvostelua 32

I would give this company zero stars if I could. It’s definitely a SCAM. I have reported Mapleshelf to the Government agency, Report Fraud.
I ordered a book. The money was taken from my bank account straightaway. I haven’t received either email acknowledgement nor invoice. I tried phoning. Answerphone reply telling me I can only contact the company either by email or their contact form. I’ve done both. I’ve requested a refund.
The payment I made was to a company called Fanytolo. Their website is the same as Mapleshelf’s. The contact number has a Poland area code and the address given is in Poland. Very dodgy.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE
It's a scam. They sell "hardcover" books and then send you the download link for a PDF file, impossible to read on any device. Not even sure if the PDF is a licenced product as it's not an ebook format. I will report it as a scam to my credit card company.

All the one star reviews are accurate. This company has designed its website to give customers the impression they are buying a hard back book. They then send a link for an ebook and refuse to engage when this is disputed. DO NOT BUY FROM MAPLESHELF.

Scammers! Ordered a hard copy of The Correspondent by Virginia Evans but was sent a download link. Sent a screenshot showing I’d ordered a paper copy but was told I hadn’t and to use the download link. Eventually got a refund by saying I’d report them which I’ve now done to Trading Standards. Would like to be able to give no stars.

After sending a complaint by email saying I requested a refund otherwise I would ask visa for a chargeback I have received a refund.

Not worth any stars. Ordered a hardback book. Never received any confirmation despite payment being taken. They responded to my second email and said I had ordered an ebook and they would not refund and have not responded to my return email. Still not received any receipt for my payment. Now reported through my Credit Card Company

No stars if I could.
Book ordered and hasn’t arrived.
No response to emails sent. No order confirmation but money taken.
Transaction on payment logged for Poland not Leeds.
Please, AVOID this site & seller.
Transaction will be disputed.

Complete scam. Ordered a hardback book. Was sent an ebook. I emailed them to challenge this and they replied that refunds were not available. Have since emailed them a number of times and have had no response. Will try and get a refund via my bank. DO NOT USE.

Ordered a fiction book from mapleshelf on 4th April for my bookclub, haven't used them before. I order from various websites and always check it's a paper copy, not a digital copy.
So far it has not turned up.

So unlike me not to search reviews when I order from a new supplier but I concur with all the other reviews here. Ordered a hardback, when I didn't receive it, I emailed and was told I'd ordered an eBook. I will report their scam to my credit card company and to anyone else who'll listen! Hope you're here reading this BEFORE you order. If not, I'm sorry you got scammed too but together we can shut this down if we all keep reporting them. 💪🏻

Hi Everyone, please do not buy anything from this company. Unfortunately l did not read reviews as a book is a book. I too have been scamed. The payment does not go to Mapleshelf it is payable to Fanytolo and sent to Poland. Please whatever payment method you used l used visa report it to them and if they get too many complaints they withdraw their licence. Please share.

Like other people, I ordered on the Mapleshelf website for a book and was sent a digital download. Not what was advertised!
I have since contacted without a reply or refund.
This is surely a scam. Buyer Beware!!

Ordered my book on 24th March. Have received no information since. Money was taken from my account on that day. Scam

Do not be tempted by the 'sale' prices for books! Same issue as other reviews! I went to Mapleshelf as I did a search for Nancy Birtwistle's latest Clean Green book. Saw it was ½price for a new hardcover book, so thought fab, I'll get it. Filled in all info, incl credit card details etc. Checked all info was correct as well as hardcover not download.
I promptly received an email with download link. Don't click on that, goodness only knows where that'll take you! I then thought something isn't quite right & remember that I hadn't done a Trust Pilot check as I ALWAYS do when I'm buying from a company I've not used before. How I wish I had!
So I emailed back straight away & asked them cancel my order immediately, and said I'd be getting in touch with my bank & also looking at reporting them to Trading Standards. Credit card cancelled & I will contact Trading Standards and message Nancy Birtwistle on her Instagram page to let her know.
Avoid this company at all costs!!

I didn’t want to leave one star as it wouldn’t let me proceed.
I ordered a hardback book on the 31/3/26 and it said hardback book or digital I ordered the book and got digital, it very misleading and I now have something I don’t want.
Don’t Don’t order from this company.
I wish I had seen the reviews first I would never have ordered it, very angry and disappointed

I ordered a paperback copy from them and received a digital download! I emailed explaining that I had selected the paperback format not the digital one. Received a prompt reply telling me to ooen the digital download link. I then read the reviews all of which have the same complaint. I have requested a refund as the goods are not as described and will pursue them until I get it! Do not buy from this business.

How I wish I had read the reviews. Very easy to order , chose paperback option, paid but then didn't receive a receipt. After a week chased and told I ordered e book, I had checked and hadn't. Refused refund , claiming back through credit card

As per other customers, there are no books. They send a link to an eBook.
I complained and they said all sales are final, I disputed this and said I would be contacting my bank and will be reporting them to Trading Standards.
I recieved a refund after 1 week, so you need to pursue it!

Ordered a hardback book. Received a downloadable link. Didn't open it wrote to them explaining I ordered an actual book and they refused to refund. I emailed them with a screen shot showing I'd selected a hardback version and advised if they didn't refund i would rake it up with my credit card company. They accepted and after me replying with all the information they requested (which they already had) I received a refund after about 4 days.
Shocking that this company's website is appearing in searches considering all the reviews on here.
If you happen to purchase Don't give up and if all else fails go through your credit card/bank to get your refund. They appear as Fanytolo on your bill.

I can only reiterate the previous reviews. I placed an order on 25/02/26 for a hard copy book. It is now 27/03/26. I have not received the book, nor a refund, and my emails have been ignored. This company is a fraud and I am in the process of reporting them to the Trading Standards Agency.
