Very communicative customer rep and shipping process. Definitely follow their sizing guidelines to avoid shoes that are too big. The sizes for the flats definitely run large as I typically wear EU 38 or US 7-7.5 depending on the brand. Even measuring my foot in cm (24cm) misled me to pick a size that was too big.

Suite à une erreur de pointure de ma part dans une récente commande j'ai apprécié qu'on m'offre un rabais substantiel sur une nouvelle commande de la bonne taille si je conservais les chaussures trop petites plutôt que de les retourner pour minimiser l'impact environnemental. Ma fille qui peut maintenant profiter des Ginza mules et ballerines trop petites est tout aussi ravie que moi elle sont magnifiques, confortables et de très belle qualité ❣️

This was my second order of Tabi’s and they were great. perfect size, great material, and comfortable after breaking them in.

Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience.

I ordered the shoes one size smaller based on the recommendation on their website, but unfortunately they turned out to be too tight at the front.

I contacted customer service, and instead of offering a regular exchange, I was initially offered the option to purchase a new pair with a 50% discount, even though the website states that they offer a free exchange.

When I asked whether the next size would actually be suitable for me, I still haven’t received a proper answer. I have been receiving only one short response per day, without my actual question being addressed.

The customer service has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. I genuinely loved the shoes and was really looking forward to wearing them, but after this experience and such poor communication, I have completely lost the desire to deal with the brand.

It’s a shame, because I really liked the shoes, but good customer service is just as important as the product itself.

Very disappointing product quality and customer service

I’m extremely disappointed with both the quality of my Tabi Flats and the way my complaint has been handled.

I purchased the shoes under order #7915 and, after only around five months of normal wear, the sole of the right shoe completely split across the ball of the foot, exposing the internal structure. The rubber on the heels of both shoes had also started splitting and crumbling away.

I initially contacted customer service on the 4th august and explained the issue, providing photographs. I was then asked to provide additional clear photos and videos so they could properly assess the damage. I did exactly that and sent everything requested.

I then received a response referring to the issue as the “glue” loosening and asking whether the shoes had felt too snug or whether I needed a larger size. This was frustrating because the issue had nothing to do with the fit. The size 40 fits me perfectly, and the sole had physically split after only five months of wear.

I was then offered a 50% discount towards purchasing another pair as a “gesture of goodwill”. I explained that I did not feel it was reasonable to pay for another pair when the current pair had failed after such a short period of normal use. I therefore requested either a full refund or a replacement.

Since sending that response, I have received no resolution and it’s been over two week since first contacting them. I have followed up repeatedly and have now been emailing daily for over a week without receiving a response.

What is most disappointing is that I genuinely love the shoes and approached the company hoping they would stand behind the quality of their product. Instead, I feel that my complaint has been dismissed, the nature of the damage has been minimised, and once I declined the 50% discount, communication effectively stopped.

For a premium footwear brand, I expected much better product quality and, more importantly, much better customer service when a genuine quality issue was raised. I would strongly encourage the company to reconsider how it handles product faults and customer complaints.

I absolutely love my tabis!! So much that I got all the colours and styles! I just wish I double confirmed the sizes before hitting order. I was too excited and got a smaller size. I still wear them but they’re not as comfortable as the right size is. They all fit true to size. Would buy again!!

It's a long travel the shoes does but nonetheless it's a good packaging, and a very comfortable shoe. Good choice with a size bigger than you usually use so there's space for a sock.

Nice service and updates so you actually are not in doubt if it was scam - if you can't find the mails they are in your spam folder.
Can only recommend a lovely earthbound shoe from Maison Nakamoto.

I wore my Tabi heels to a dance performance and two other dancers had different Tabi shoes ; we agreed we all love ours. And I love my red Kyoto bag ; great size and the color makes me happy ❤️❤️❤️🖤🖤🖤
