The staff at Magical Vacation Homes are Great, we were staying together at a lovely luxury mansion in Reunion due to a loss in our family. The experience although a sad one Magical team went out of their way to help us from booking the home to taking care of the smallest details. Would definitely stay with them again.

Worst rental experience we have ever had. We arrived and no games and TVs work. Fridge did not work, ruined our food we bought. No one can come fix this until Monday when we arrived on Friday.

Call about pool heat, and they claim it is 350 bucks extra. I ask them why it isn’t complimentary at this point when nothing else here works. They say they can’t help me.

I tell them to do the heat. But we have multiple families here and I can’t change my friends card on file. So I say to wait until I ask him and they go and charge my friends card 400 not 350 for heat. Then they do not answer me. No manager is available to handle anything or fix anything. This is the worst run place ever. They also go and tell me pre checks were done on all the TVs and games by their team. Funny somehow it all broke between when they checked on Friday until we arrived on Friday. I have asked over and over to speak to a manager and I am told I can’t. Avoid this place at all costs!

Major issues with access to a gated community where the home was located. Magical Vacation Homes not helpful at all with this issue which is a shame as they were helpful resolving other issues.

The resolution was simple - provide me with a pass to hang in the car (which other residents had) which automatically opened the gate but you refused saying they are for 'owners' only. I paid a lot of money for a 15 night stay to be resident in Bears Den - I expect the same priviliges as owners not to be treated as a second class citizen! I felt fobbed off. You provided a 4 digit gate code with the reservation and told to enter that into the keypad - no keypad, later to be told that was for another community not Bears Den. I was told to use the other gate which was open - not true thats an exit only gate which closed automatically. You sent me to the Bears Den clubhouse but they immediately said they couldnt help as I wasnt renting via them and it was for you to sort out. I was told by you to 'be patient' but it wasnt just me I was stuck behind other visitors (e.g. vans and trucks) who also has trouble with access. All told a very frustrating and unsatisfactory experience which i wont be repeating.

I wished I had saw these reviews before I rented. Everything that has been said about this company is true. They just want your money. Unfortunately Airbnb is not helping by allowing them to use their platform. We paid for pool heat and it didn't work. No upper level A.C.. Have the lights in the kitchen were out. Lights were out in the garage/game room, laundry room and hall entry. Filthy carpet. It was soaking wet from the A.C. malfunction. And yes even cockroaches.

Absolute scam artists. DO NOT rent with Magical Vacation Homes they are thieves. Check their one star rating on the Better Business Bureau (the lowest possible). In dealing with them since my trip, I now know that they are experts at getting negative reviews taken down. They document every time a service person comes out even though they failed to fix anything. They literally just send service people out just to say they did even though nothing gets fixed. We paid over $5000 for a home that had cockroaches, ants, used tampon applicators in the front, and filthy floors that left our socks black after five minutes. There was hair on every single towel. Most importantly, the hot tub and game room, the reasons we picked the home, were not functional. The hot tub never heated up and then finally completely drained. Several games were broken and probably have been for years. They just come and pretend to try to fix things and leave. We spent hours of our vacation everyday on hold on the phone and in person waiting for service people trying to get the hot tub to work. In the end it never got fixed and we were left without even water in it. Now they have the nerve to say well it’s technically a spa not a hot tub. Even though I messaged to confirm before I booked that it was in fact a hot tub and heated up 103. One of the service people finally told us the problem is not something they can even repair and the pool company needed to replace the entire system. But they will continue to book their homes knowing this and never fix it. Yes, the house looks amazing in the photos but it’s not what you get whatsoever. I’ve been to Orlando and booked vacation rentals about 8 times and have never been disappointed. Magical Vacation Homes will take your money and not give you what you paid for and spend their time arguing with you instead of simply keeping up their homes. The homes may have been ok when the photos were first taken but they have all gone downhill and they do nothing to keep them clean or functional. If you thought you were booking a nice house with a hot tub, forget it. You will instead waste your vacation trying to get them to fix it when they know it’s beyond repair and probably has been for years.

In reponse to MVH’s below comment, I already told Mark that I will not remove my reviews as I want to warn other renters. There’s a reason you don’t have many negative reviews and it’s because you will only make things right with the guests if they remove their reviews, is that legal?! You can say everything was working all you want but do you think i called in issues every day for the fun of it?

Update: Spoke with manager and they offered to remove pool heat and the erroneous charge for the game that was broken on our arrival only if we remove our negative reviews. I will not be doing that as we were charged unjustly for pool heat that did not work 80% of the time and a game that we reported as broken within 24 hours of arrival. They should remove those charges based on fact, regardless of whether or not we remove our reviews. This goes to show why only positive reviews are posted.

Happy to provide screen shots to anyone that would like an authentic review of their experience. We called in at least 2+ issues per day for the first 4 days of our stay. The pool and spa heat did not work, there was no filter attached to the bottom of the spa, there were no directionals on the blowers and the water would randomly drain out of the spa. In addition the knob for the timer was broken and there was an error that the tech needed to fix. When I spoke to the manager Mark this week, he stated that the entire system was being checked- why would that happen if it was working correctly? Also we paid for damage insurance but were still charged for a broken game that we did not break and reported it within 24 hours as soon as we discovered it. These are only the main issues, there were many more.

The rep I worked with in the very beginning was great. Unfortunately the home itself and our stay were less than magical.
Magical Views at Reunion Resort was the worst rental home I have stayed in. Home was not welcoming, no decor, stained furniture, bed frames that didn’t fit the mattresses, broken outdoor furniture etc.
Listing states that the annex house had 2br but only had 1, hot tub and pool heat didn't work correctly and had to call four days in row to have a tech out, the game room had an arcade game with a completely smashed screen and shards of glass on the console and floor. This leads me to believe that no one comes and checks out the rentals when guests leave. Two gaming consoles and 4 remotes but only one non working remote charger. gas grill didn't work and had to have a tech fix the connection. Pool furniture broken and stained. Couldn’t get the TV systems to work and there was no physical guest book to explain how to use anything. Mandatory $350 fee for reunion resort amenities. When we went to pick up our wrist bands the front desk said our house didn't qualify so we had to spend a day straightening that out. When we went back for the second time to get the bands we were told we were the 4th family that day who had issues with homes they rented through MVH not having wristband access. Nightmare. They also told us we shouldn’t have even rented through MVH and should have rented directly through the resort. Hot water didn't work in first floor bathroom sink. We had 14 registered guests and there was only one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. Kitchen was bare bones. Listing shows fire pit however at the house it shows only the owner can use it. We have rented A LOT of homes throughout the years and my occupation is in the hospitality industry and I have never experienced anything like this. Awful awful awful. Today is Tuesday and I've been waiting for a manager to call me back since Thursday. Should have been an amazing home (based off the pics) but failed in so many ways. Too many issues to list them all.

The care team that we contacted throughout the week to report problems was helpful and responsive. Yes, they did come out and fix the issues when we reported them but I don’t want to spend the first four days of my 5 day vacation calling in multiple issues per day.

Magical Vacation Homes is truly a disgrace of a company. The lack of professionalism and complete disregard for customer satisfaction is astonishing. Not only did they fail to provide necessary information prior to arrival, they were completely unreachable when issues arose.

The fact that no one was available to provide an access code upon arrival is unacceptable, let alone the fact that they were unable to rectify the situation in a timely manner. The manager's refusal to take responsibility and instead blame the customer is beyond belief.

It is clear that this company is not interested in providing a positive experience for their customers. The fact that they operate out of a run-down office only adds to the lack of credibility and professionalism. Save yourself the headache and book directly with a reputable company. Magical Vacation Homes is nothing but a disappointment and a waste of time. Steer clear at all costs.

AVOID!
Took our house deposit, the house then sold (which they never told us about. We just happened to know it had vanished). Said we could have a refund but they ‘couldn’t do it’. And that was that. They have stollen our money and use every excuse under the sun to not issue our refund. DO NOT USE!!!!

1572 Maidstone Court Champions Gate villa booked for 6 adults arrival 21.09.2023 Villa was booked in Feb 2023.

Greeted at the villa by a blue tarpaulin on the roof , pool not filtering, games room carpet curled in corner ( serious trip hazard), downstairs bedroom shower dribbling, corner pool paving block smashed as not repaired ( serious hazard), rattan sunloungers damaged ( caused an injury) freezer not working .

Magical vacations state on their website they pride themselves with customer satisfaction. We reported all issues immediately providing photos via email . Took 5 days for engineer to come out for freezer ( no idea what he was doing or why he had been sent )
2nd engineer for freezer ( didn't rectify problem) My partner resolved the problem himself.
Pool engineer sent out 5 days after reporting issues. Filtering needed to be cleaned and new filter required. Came back the following day , problem solved .
Jerred from the team care arrived at villa 6 days after reporting issues , very dismissive, agreed the sunloungers were unacceptable and took the worst 2 away and never replaced. Not acceptable when you have 6 adults in the villa. When asked about the pre arrival report for the shower , carpet and cracked paving on pool he agreed it should have been rectified before our arrival . Again no solution and no apologies given

My partner spent valuable time of his holiday reporting via email and staying in to wait for outside vendors to arrive .

We asked for the owners details to contact them directly, not given to us .

This villa isn't cheap and we didn't expect to arrive with so many issues. If I was the homeowner I would be fuming with the service that was provided from the care team.

Magical Vacations Home care team do not put customer satisfaction or guest safety as their priority.

If you have or are considering booking with this company , PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU REPORT ISSUES IMMEDIATELY AND KEEP PESTERING THEM .

My family and I had a reunion at the Soltera Resort in Davenport, Orlando Florida in July 2023. Although we had a very happy and memorable experience and we plan to have another reunion next year, it will not be with Soltera. Since day one , our Soltera vacation house located on Broad Oak Drive was a disaster zone. Once we finally got into the home, we paid for early check in at 10 am, we were greeted by a leak in one of the bathrooms in a bedroom on the first floor. There were several soaked towels on the floor and the water was about to flow into the adjoining bedroom. We arrived on a Saturday and despite numerous calls to maintenance, no one was interested in fixing the leak or moving us to another house. My family’s time time was spent changing the soaked towels in the bathroom, because we didn’t want to endanger anyone’s life with a slip and fall. The ages in my party ranged from a 2 year old to an 80 year old.

The leak in the bathroom wasn’t the only issue. The pool was dirty and we had to ask for it be cleaned, The outdoor grill that we requested prior to our arrival was not there. One family member found human hair on her sheets the first day we got there. The home’s air conditioning was not functioning as it should, neither were the dryer and washer on the first floor. One of the ceiling lights in the living room went out and was never replaced. We endured 3 days of our 5 day stay with a wet, flooded bathroom that was a possible death trap. To add insult to injury, we never received the 8 parking permits that were outlined in the rental voucher we received after booking the house.

Despite spending money to stay in a house that was obviously in need of repairs, in a resort that needs to get its act together, my family and I had a great reunion , no thanks to Soltera Resorts.

This has to be the WORST company I have ever had to deal with. Paid over $4000 for a luxury villa, games room didnt work, no working telephone line DURING hurricane Ian, walls splattered with goodness knows what and generally dirty from poor maintenance. Raised concerns in first few days as we were staying there 20 nights and they did not rectify any of the above AND basically called me a liar when I continued to complain on my return home. They have shown NO DUTY OF CARE when we were there during that hurricane, very scary. PLEASE do your homework before using this terrrible company, check BBB complaints, they have lots of complaints against them

Had a great time in a beautiful and new property in Reunion Resort, excellent location and amazing amenities. We did have a few issues with some equipment not working but this was rectified within a few days.
