I went on the Malapascua scuba trip and met the most amazing girls along this journey! I would recommend this to anyone who is beginning to solo travel and loves to explore the world underwater:) amazing organization through the entire trip!

As I’m writing this, I am crying on the Cebu airport floor because I do not want to leave! This trip, the girls, the island, the dive instructors/workers and the Filipino people have all been 5 out of 5! All the girls are there for the same reason, to enjoy diving in a beautiful country in a safe environment. Our leader, Pixu, has amazing local knowledge as well as being an epic girl guide 😍🫶🏽🤩 if you’re trying to decide if it’s worth it, just book the trip. Because it is 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I absolutely loved my Maganda Experience and would recommend it to everyone! It was amazing being around girls from all of the world and learning how to scuba dive together. It also made it way less scary to know you weren’t alone when learning. The whole trip was perfect organized and well thought out. If you have been thinking about going on a girls trip, then this is the one for you!!! It was awesome :)

A Truly Transformational Experience with Maganda Surf Girls Trip 🌊🌴

Last year, I joined the Maganda Experience surf girls trip in the Philippines for two unforgettable weeks—and it truly was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure!!!

From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, supported, and inspired. The energy of the group was electric—strong, uplifting women from around the world coming together to share waves, stories, and laughter. Whether you were a beginner or had some surfing experience, the local coaches were incredibly warm, patient and encouraging. Every session on the board felt truly empowering.

Beyond the surf, the entire experience was beautifully curated and I cannot count the moments of pure magic under the tropical sun. It wasn’t just a holiday; it was a soulful journey that reconnected me with nature, with myself, and with a sisterhood I didn’t know I needed.

If you’re looking for more than just a surf camp—if you’re craving growth, adventure, and meaningful connection—Maganda delivers all that and more.

I left the Philippines with a tan, sore muscles, new skills, and friendships that will last a lifetime. I can’t recommend it enough. 💛

8 months later, and I still think about this trip! I was solo travelling through Asia and had been following Maganda Experience for a while when they announced their first-ever trip to Siargao in the Philippines! I immediately signed up, and to say it was the BEST part of my whole trip is an understatement. The girls I met on this trip were from all over the world and were amazing from day 1. The experiences we shared, not just learning to surf but also embracing Filipino culture and having an incredible time on this amazing island, are memories I will remember forever. Silvia is an absolute GEM and an incredible hostess for our trip and now a life-long friend. I hope every girl gets the opportunity to experience this trip for themselves!

I spent two amazing weeks in Catanduanes with Maganda Experience, and I can honestly say it was one of the most rewarding trips I’ve ever taken. I was traveling solo, but quickly connected with a group of like-minded women, all looking for adventure, connection, and something a little different.

My main reason for joining was to step outside my comfort zone, improve my surfing, practice yoga, and explore a more authentic side of the Philippines and this trip delivered on all fronts. Every detail was carefully curated, from the daily activities to the community atmosphere that made everything feel personal and genuine.

One of the highlights for me was the connection with the locals. Catanduanes is still a very untouristy island, and you can truly feel the soul of the place and its people. There’s an authenticity here that’s rare to find and it makes everything feel even more special.

Silvia, the organizer, was incredibly professional, kind, and attentive she truly made every request come to life and ensured that all of us felt supported throughout the trip.

I also really appreciated the high-quality content that was created during our stay: photos, videos, and even drone shots. It felt like a beautiful souvenir of an unforgettable journey, something I’ll cherish forever.

We also had three meals included each day: simple, local, and absolutely delicious. It added such a warm and homely touch to the whole experience, and made the journey even sweeter.

If you're looking to travel differently, surf, grow, and meet amazing people along the way this is the trip for you!

I think the experience was absolutely amazing! The location was stunning and the accommodation was perfect for the atmosphere and experience. Silvia made sure there were always activities available from volleyball games to painting and bracelet making. I created amazing bonds on the trip with the girls and am still keeping in contact and travelling with them. I did believe that Silvia was running the trip and would be there the whole time to help with answering questions and photography but they did have others helping her instead. I would absolutely go again on this trip and recommend to anyone I know!

Absolutely loved this experience !! One of the best decisions I have made. So many fun, beautiful and amazing memories made in a gorgeous part of the world. Was so fun to surf and was the perfect mix of freedom as well as planned activities to do. It is a small rural town with hardly any tourists and not 5 stars but honestly that made it more fun and they did try to prioritise our safety. Would highly recommend. I have made lifelong friends who I am currently travelling with again ! 🫶🏼💕

This trip was one of a life time! It was booked on a bit of a whim, I knew I wanted to try surfing and had seen a girl I knew of from the Isle of Wight had done this girls only group trip. When I looked online about what was included I just said yes and decided I would figure money out later! Everything was glorious, the surfing was perfect for beginners and the instructors were both fun and informative. Being a girls only group was superb and just what my soul needed! I’ve made friends all over the world who I still keep in contact with now nearly a year on! There was lots of time to relax, and the yoga was incredible! So much so, I’ve since brought yoga sessions from Amalie. I’ve been lucky enough to do such a variety of travel trips, Vietnam, Singapore, Bali, America to name a few and yet the Philippines will always hold such a special place in my heart ❤️

This trip is a must! Don’t think to hard about it, just go! Really one of the best experiences I’ve had- completely immersed in nature! A 2 week trip consisting of Surfing, swimming, yoga, hiking, exploring, painting, laughing and making memories!! Thanks to all the girls who made this trip extra special! You will always hold such a big part in my heart!

Being part of the Maganda Experience was something I’ll never forget. It was my very first solo trip, and I was filled with both excitement and anxiety. I was nervous and unsure of myself. I kept thinking— What if they don’t like me?
But throughout the week I stayed, all my doubts slowly faded. What I discovered was more than just a fun adventure— it was a space that encouraged genuine connection and self growth. This experience created an environment where people could open up, bond over shared experiences, and learn more about themselves along the way.
It wasn’t just an experience —it was a chance to build new friendships and a stronger sense of who I am.

The 10-day surf trip in Siargao with Maganda was truly one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. I had such an incredible time with the girls. It was so refreshing to connect with like-minded travelers and learn a new activity together. The surfing itself was absolutely amazing, and having the support of all the other women in the water made it even more special. It felt so empowering to cheer each other on and celebrate every small win as a group. Silvia was amazing as well and made me feel so welcomed as soon as I arrived!

Traveling with Maganda experience last year to Catanduanes was my first real taste of solo travel and it got me hooked! Everything from meeting the amazing girls to exploring new places made it the most amazing time and gave me so much confidence to continue traveling on my own! I got the opportunity to travel again with Maganda and be a host this year, and once again I met the most wonderful people and made lifelong friends. If you're looking for a trip that will dip your toes into the world of solo travel, ground you in the simplicity of island life, and bring you a community of women who also love exploring our world this is the trip for you!

I have never been solotraveling. Silvia put us in a WhatsApp group when the group was complete. Hannah, a complete stranger then, and I decided to travel together. We got to a remote island in the Philippines: Catanduanes. After 2 weeks of surfing, dancing, activities and bonding.. I can say I had the best time of my life. Meeting some of the most incredible women I have ever met. Feeling very comfortable in my skin after being surrounded by positive empowered women for 2 weeks. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Maganda experience felt like home. It was one of a kind experience which I never thought I'd have. Travelling with a group of strangers might seem a bit scary in the beginning but that turned out to be the best part by the end of the trip. The places they took us to were the cherry on top. The surfing classes were also great. Would love to come back there again.

Silvia is a genius and one of the most genuine and kind people I have ever met. Her vision to change women’s lives through travel, courage, and friendship has come to life through the Maganda experience. It has truly opened my eyes to what I can do as a woman, and it has shown me the power of womanhood and connection. If your hesitant at all, I promise you, DO IT!! I was scared when I first started this journey, I even cried on the plane. But by the end of the trip, I was crying because I was leaving and because my life had been changed forever. This trip ultimately has helped me discovered what I want to do with my life, and I now plan to travel solo for as long as possible. This experience is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I couldn’t recommend something more 🥰🥰
