A completely negative experience
A completely negative experience. They allow you to complete the purchase only to cancel it later, claiming shipping costs are too high. Either set the correct shipping price upfront or don't allow the sale at all. Very unprofessional. - Of course, we accept the apology, but we were disappointed with the situation. At least you noticed the error so it won't happen to another customer. All the best.

Very sorry for your negative experience on our website.
The shooting table lighting kit you bought is very large and therefore it would have cost in excess of £80 to send to Portugal rather than the £35 you paid. Unfortunately at the time of this sale, the kit had the wrong dimension/weight attributes and therefore our international shipping template on our website allowed you to buy with a shipping price for a smaller parcel size. As we had never shipped these kits to Portugal before, this error had gone unnoticed.
We have now made changes to the product and shipping template to stop this scenario from happening again.
It's worth nothing that we realized the mistake quickly and cancelled/refunded this buyer the same day they purchased, we contacted the seller immediately and apologized for our error.

Customer is based in Poland, we sent them emails like we do with all EU customers, asking them to confirm they are aware they that they will have to pay VAT and customs charge to courier to import into their country. We are just trying to make sure customer's don't have any bad surprises with charges they aren't expecting and giving them a chance to cancel the transaction if they don't want to pay the taxes.
In this case, customer was sent emails, they replied after 4 days asking how much they would have to pay the courier and their government, we replied to them again but then these emails bounced from their email address with mail delivery failed errors. We then waited for them to make contact again and also to try again with their email address, but in this time they left this review.
Customer has been refunded so definitely no scamming involved here, we are simply trying to warn customers to avoid any potential bad surprises, if the customer believes customs and EU VAT charges were included in sale price.
We will look to make this more clear in the checkout process for EU customers

Quality, price and fast!
Used the chat function to get some immediate advice on soft box set (even thought it was late evening!) - easy to place order, great kit and fast delivery - will use again! As far as I’ve found these sell the best optimum daylight bulbs for artists.
