Ive been a client at Lucinda Ellerey for 10 years now, and used to travel to London for appointments, so I was so happy when a salon opened up in Southampton! I enjoy my visits to Southampton where the team are so welcoming and attentive, everyone makes me feel welcome and are very professional in what they do, I've never felt so relaxed and always leave the salon feeling gorgeous ! Excellent team and service.

Massive shout out and sincere thanks to the fabulous Lettie at LucindaEllery Southampton, for a superb new parting. Despite my initial reservations, the colour is spot on, I really should just trust these fabulous professionals as they know what suits me best. A thank you to all the staff too as they make me feel at ease and so comfortable and allow me to live my life to the full.

I’ve been a client of Lucinda ellery for 13 years, originally using the London salon. Now been coming to Bristol since it opened.
To me as a client I find it homely, comfortable and relaxing. I find the staff very engaging and professional and they make me feel listened too and have given me so much confidence.
The team are all so kind and have made the Bristol salon a lovely place to come too where you feel empowered and uplifted. I look forward to coming to my appointments every few weeks!

I am so glad that I have read these reviews! The following review is my experience only of the initial consultation and quoted costs. I have been completely “taken in” by information I’ve read on the Lucinda Ellery website and watching various videos about how wonderful the results are. I visited the Bristol salon/studio for a consultation by a professional advisor, which I was expecting to be a full hour with tests done on my hair to see how strong it is, as stated on the website. I arrived early and was immediately taken to speak to a young woman who asked me a few questions about the state of my hair, and she also answered all my questions. Then after about 10 minutes she told me that she would print off the quote and terms and conditions for me to read and think about at home. During this time I realised that it was all just a formality, and very little to do with personal treatment. I asked if I could have a test done which she was happy to do. I was taken to another room like a hair salon. She left me for a moment so I was able to look around while I sat there. I was really shocked at the state of the floor…..there were clumps of hair caught in the wheels of my chair, grubby corners, bits of elastic bands on the floor and just generally messy and unhygienic. It needed a good clean and mopping!! I actually said it out loud and the woman and the girl who was doing a clients hair heard me, but she didn’t comment. I was then taken to another room which was in much the same state, untidy and grubby. The girl did the test extensions and I was escorted back to receive my quote. I actually laughed as I left…there were even some clumps of hair on the outside door mat and more elastic bands.
I was in the consultation for about 25 minutes and my impression of the place was….a second rate hairdressers with young unprofessional girls working there with very little experience of working with older women who have lost confidence. I felt old and patronised. Nothing worse than a young girl saying “ohh bless” to me. 🤐.
Needless to say I will not be returning to spend the £2095 quoted. And that’s just for the initial payment. There are lots of £110 hourly rate costs added to this during the various maintenance appointments and other costs to consider for new partings required every 6 months or less if advised of between £365 and £845
All in all I’m thinking …an extremely expensive procedure for a very second rate experience.

Whilst relatively early in my LE experience (only had my system fitted last week), I wanted to say that everything so far has been wonderful. Everyone at the London branch has been so welcoming and friendly. My initial consultation with Julie and Chantelle was very clear and never felt in any way pressured or 'sales-like'. Indeed, Chantelle suggested that I opt for a smaller system initially (no side sections), as having always had very fine hair (even before losing it to frontal fibrosing alopecia) it would feel like 'too much hair' if we went for everything in one go - this gave me real confidence that they had my best interests at heart and weren't just looking to maximise spend. In response to those commenting about the cost - yes, it is expensive, but I feel that the costs are transparent, so you should have a good idea of what you're getting into.
The intralace system fitting itself was fine, all of the technicians were really lovely and clear in explaining what was happening, whilst Amanda did a great cut and styling. The colour match to my own hair was exceptionally good, so no colour-work was needed.
It did feel pretty overwhelming when the system was first fitted to suddenly have lots of hair, but don't panic! It takes a while to get used to, and after the first wash, everything calms down a bit. It will take some time and effort to get used to how to style the new hair - there's not only more of it, but it's a different texture to my own - but what a lovely challenge to have, after watching my own hair slowly disappear over a number of years.
From my own experience so far, if you have alopecia of any type, I would really recommend having a consultation with LE - you may find that it's the perfect fit for you too.

I have been going to the Southampton Lucinda Ellery Hair Salon for 6 months now. I had the Intralace System fitted.
My first impressions were excellent, the salon is lovely, modern and very inviting. Most importantly the staff were all so lovely, very welcoming and so kind and considerate. I was apprehensive on my first appointment but everyone was superb at putting me at my ease.

6 months on and a few appointments under my belt and I still feel very happy with the whole Lucinda Ellery experience. It’s just so fantastic to have my confidence back. Of course nothing will ever be as good as my own hair, but this offers me a great solution. I don’t have to worry about windy days and covering bald patches any more. I am very happy that I took the plunge and it has definitely been a game changer for me.

I would really recommend the Southampton Salon, it’s just fabulous. Paolo and Sylvia are wonderful, always so helpful as are every single member of staff.

I was so pleased to learn that a salon had opened in Southampton and I didn’t have to travel to London to visit Lucinda Ellery. Before my system I no longer enjoyed visits to the hairdressers but now I look forward to them! Paulo and his team are lovely! They know me by name and ensure that I am very well looked after every time I go. It’s a very friendly atmosphere in the salon and they do everything they can to ensure that my hair looks it’s very best. I would highly recommend the Southampton salon.

I began visiting the Southampton salon just over a year ago for an intralace system. Right from the very first appointment, Paulo and his team made me feel so welcome and relaxed in the lovely salon. The salon is beautifully decorated but does not feel pretentious or stuffy and I always receive a genuine warm welcome.
Having issues with my hair has made past visits to other salons an uncomfortable and awkward experience but now I look forward to my appointments and always come away feeling pampered and with hair I never dreamt I'd have, thanks to the sensitivity and expertise of the staff.
Paulo and his team are a credit to the company and I cannot praise the Southampton salon highly enough.

The Southampton team were absolutely amazing, to go through a period where you are anxious about your hair loss and walking in they make you feel wonderful. Every transition through my hair loss was treated with respect and advice given to what would suit and be better for my hair. When it started to recover I was lucky to transition from the systems to extensions. Thank you Southampton

I have been using the Southampton salon now since 2018 when I moved down to the south coast. I now have the same incredible service but on my relative doorstep.
And get this the lady who did my first system in 2016 is now the manager there. It's a win-win for me x

A year has gone by and I’m still so happy I made the decision to go for the interlace system, I love my hair it makes me feel fantastic. I tell anyone about the system , lots of people ask me about it . The experience is enhanced by the amazing Darren and the fabulous girls . Everyone is so welcoming, I love to catch up with them all they make me laugh so much.
So if your thinking about a consultation go for it , it has changed my life.

I have found staff are very approachable and sensitive to how you feel having problems with hair loss. I'm about to have my system replaced and have been coming to Lucinda Ellery for 2 years now.The hair system has totally improved my confidence and I feel is natural looking. I would recommend to anyone with hair loss. Take time to think about the colour you want and what will suit you.

I always love my appointments at the Lucinda Ellery Studio in Southampton – Paulo and team are just fabulous, so friendly, attentive and I always come away with a great cut that last like new until the next one. Southampton branch is fantastic. Swift accurate and friendly service. They take the time to listen to what you want and use there skills to make it happen. Been going for a couple of years now and never had a negative experience. Could not recommend any stronger.

I have been a client of Lucinda Ellery Southampton, for the last 3 years. Today I had my normal appointment, plus a trial run for my wedding hair.
As a normal, the team are fabulous. Nothing is too much trouble, and they are genuinely miracle workers. I had lost all my confidence and a part of me when I lost my hair. The team made me feel so comfortable on my first visit, and ever since I have always left my appointment a happy customer.
Today I felt like a Princess!! with the trial run of my wedding hairstyle. The work gone into both my normal appointment and the extra styling was amazing.

I can’t thank Paolo and his Southampton team enough. I used to travel to a different company in London for 9 years. Due to health reasons I had to find a salon closer to home. I didn’t realise Lucinda Ellery had a Southampton salon! I wish I had known this 9 years ago!
Paolo, Sylvia and the team at Southampton have made a huge impact in my life, they are so welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. Expertise is second to none.
I have had so many compliments on my hair. I actually feel “normal” again. Regained my confidence and feel so much happier.
