Terribly complicated, seems to put 99% of their trust in all other books besides Gods Word! The download is 99% books other than the Bible!!!

I have been a Logos user for many years, and because this company exists to support the study of the Bible, I expected a more fair and reasonable response than the one I received.

My annual subscription to Logos Max was renewed automatically, and the charge was processed the same day without me realizing it in advance. As soon as I noticed the charge, I contacted support immediately, requested cancellation, and explained that I am not currently using the subscription and that the yearly payment represents a real financial difficulty for me.

Despite contacting support the same day, the only response I received was that nothing could be done because of the subscription policy. There was no flexibility, no real review of the circumstances, and no willingness to consider that the renewal was automatic and reported immediately.

What is most disappointing is not only the charge itself, but the rigid attitude behind the response. Policies are understandable, but when a company that provides tools for studying Scripture refuses to consider reasonable situations, it gives the impression that the system matters more than the people.

The Bible teaches that a good name is more valuable than riches (Proverbs 22:1), and also that justice should be tempered with mercy and wisdom. Applying a rule without any room for discernment, even when the request is made the same day, does not reflect those principles.

I have recommended Logos for years, and that is why this experience is so frustrating. I expected better judgment, better customer care, and more integrity in handling a situation like this.

I am sharing this so other users are aware of the risks of automatic annual renewals. They can be processed without you noticing, and once the charge is made, there may be no flexibility at all, even if you contact support immediately.

I hope Logos will reconsider how these cases are handled in the future, because situations like this affect not only customers, but also the trust and reputation of the company.

After several thousand dollars and years of use, I am forced to concede that Logos Bible Software is “almost” useless for actual Bible study.

There are three main problems. The interface, the price, and searching.

1. The interface. It's terrible, disorganized, cluttered, and clunky. e-Sword is a much faster and better option for keeping notes, viewing commentary on a selection, quick word look-ups, etc. There is no central location for such things in Logos. Instead they are scattered around here and there, or maybe over here this week. You're in a different book, then now it's over there. That's how it feels. None of them are a pleasure to actually read in.

2. The price. I've purchased hard-back commentaries in like-new condition on e-bay for less than they charge for the digital copies at Faithlife.

3. Searching through your library in Logos Bible Software has it's own bizarre syntax and language. It is not intuitive and it does not follow any of the historical standards. I don't run multiple searches a day so I find myself having to relearn its secret language every time I want to do a search.

If you were making software to help organize and better search through a library, you would not do what they have done in Logos. However, if you were making a plantation wherein you could gatekeep and maintain total control over someone else's collection, you would proceed exactly as Logos has done.

I have used Logos for 20+ years and spent over $8k. It is never enough. You have updates to pay for, subscriptions. The software changes and I do not have the time to learn new things all the time. I start using Blue Letter Bible. For logos It is a 8k program for copy and pasting that weeks scripture into word.
I had been using exegetical word for word but with the-last update it has become useless instead of sending me to my greek lexicons it now sends me to a useless in my opinion- lemma. Waist your money if you want BLB is free and easy to use. I also started buying commentaries specific to book I am teaching through. Much easier and I am not being marketed too every time I open it.

Our church had a subscription to Logos' Proclaim software for the past year. It was $250+ for the year. Unfortunately, I had the subscription tied to a church e-mail that doesn't get checked on a super regular basis. I happened to log on to that e-mail on November 22, the day that our subscription was due to be renewed. I noticed an e-mail saying that our subscription had been renewed and I immediately e-mailed them (less than 4 hours after I had gotten the e-mail) and asked if the auto-renew could be turned off and if I could cancel the service. I had hoped that I might be able to get a full or partial refund. After all, the charge hadn't even gone through on my card and it was mere hours into my year long subscription. Instead of getting any kind of help or willingness to work with me, I was told, "We are not the only company that does this, for example, Netflix, if I decide to cancel my subscription I can not get a refund for that, and is the same principle with us." Nevermind the fact that Netflix is a $14 monthly subscription and Logos is a year long $250+ subscription. I've worked with plenty of secular companies that have at least been willing to work with me when something like this happens. The fact that Logos, a company that almost exclusively services Christians, would be this inflexible absolutely blows my mind. I will never be purchasing another Logos product.

Moral of the story: Cancel your subscriptions early - or don't subscribe at all.

It gives more option than other programs but it is very expensive and mobile app is very neglected causing many issues that are not solved for many years. Also the desktop, web and ipad apps are not free from serious issues. For instance web and ipad apps does not allow to undo editing. Highlights of the text are not synchronised properly so in app they do not appear or are in the form of some ugly brackets, etc. Many other problems.

I gave about 1700 euro for the platinum of this Bible software and expected to get the Greek manuscripts, to come closer to the Bible

What I received is an monster heavy system unusable constantly downloading from internet and doing ads for a huge amount of documents unbiblical /liberal to get further from the Bible.

I was deceived, chocked and wanted to be refunded in 2018. But I asked after the test period was just over. Response was merciless.

This is the worst waste of money I did with any software.
I still cannot use it and uninstalled it.
