Sinds begin jaren 90 koop ik Linn, in eerste instantie nieuwe, met de komst van Internet alleen nog maar tweedehands. Dat ik fan ben van de weergave en klank leidt geen twijfel anders was ik de afgelopen 35 jaar wel eens elders gaan shoppen. Enorm tevreden ben ik over de kwaliteit van hun producten. Nog nooit heb ik problemen gehad met een Linn product en bij vragen staat de helpdesk altijd voor me klaar. Jammer is wel dat de producten met de jaren nieuw vrijwel onbetaalbaar zijn geworden. Waar ik zelf enthousiast van word is dat ze voor mijn speakers de Keltiks, die sinds ca.2002 uit productie zijn, in 2012 nog digitale scheidingsfilters hebben gemaakt. Welk bedrijf doet nou zoiets? Dan moet de liefde heel diep zitten volgens mij.

Colin in Customer Support has answered several queries over the years and is always very quick to respond.

Linn recently repaired the vertical bearings in my 25-year old Ekos tonearm and it now sounds better than ever.

I have just unboxed the second unit (replacement) - screen is dropped off its position same as the first.

The first unit induced one of the twitters to continuously misfire.

Impressive products but non existent customer support. Lots of things go wrong, especially the digital services, they only want you to buy something new

They sell very high class and sound unbelievable, but they have the customer service of a tacky back street company. I bough their Klimax DS DSM and Akudorik speakers costing the earth. After a couple of months the world radio disappeared due to the legal issues with Tunein. Fair enough but almost one year later there is no solution not even an expected date. They have now introduced an even more expensive model which nay sound even better but how can they sell it when there is no world internet radio, the radio stations on their app show 15 stations only 5 work. A further problem is that they are all for high quality sound but have have repeated problems when streaming high quality tracks via the built in Quobuz service

An arrogant company with contempt for its customers ! They make good hifi but their attitude to customer support is appalling. If you want to stream music from a server through a digital streamer you have no choice but to use a control app. Linn's control app Kazoo and the "new" app which is even worse that Kazoo, are both unstable, have pathetic functionality and look like they were designed by school children. But what is worse is Linn's attitude to this ... rather than produce a decent app that you can use, they do nothing .... they ignore customer feedback and they do not respond to reported problems. They charge the earth and then fail to support their customers. My advice .... do not go down the Linn route !
