I attended a Mini Groovers event in Des Moines last weekend and it was a total ripoff.

- No “immersive visuals”
- No fun decorations or ambience
- No “live performers”
- Speakers playing at full volume way above what you might expect for an audience including toddlers
- Played uncensored and explicit songs like “S&M”, “Poker Face”, “Yeah!”, and possibly others after we left.

It was like the kid version of Fyre Festival. However, despite repeated attempts, the company refuses to respond to my refund request based on their false advertising. Super shady.

Avoid this and the booking company AT ALL COSTS, PLEASE DON’T waste your hard earned money 🙏🏻
DJ at the venue played 80’s ( although good) it wasn’t Abba/ booked for a friends special birthday who is an ABBA fan/ whole point.
Drag and female sidekick didn’t know the lyrics, were in shabby, worn out costumes, took an extra long break and were like a grim holiday camp duo.The female was hell bent on drinking the guests alcohol during the 2nd half/ “ act” - shameful.
The food at the Billionaze Lounge ( Nottingham) was sub standard too. Two choices- burger- cheap & nasty. The chicken - dry. Not expecting Gordon Ramsey- but not expecting prison gruel either. £50?????
An email next day was an auto matic “ we’ll try and respond in two working days” a week later- nothing and then nothing after I replied again.
I’ve just emailed another link, asking for a full refund.
Don’t anticipate a reply, so came here to warn anyone to AVOID like the plague.
You work hard for your money, don’t waste it on those that don’t.

Had a bottomless brunch booked.
Arrived at 11:30 as per arrival time on booking confirmation to be told it wouldn’t start until 12PM.

Food portions were small with three small tortilla wraps that were less than
Palm size.
Inconsistencies between service, some tables favoured more than others.
Tried to contact customer service regarding issues mentioned, event was not sold as seen either as the title event was not played for the first 1.5 hours, 17 days later, still awaiting a response.
They do not communicate with you.

Excitedly purchased tickets to a 6pm-11pm themed party. Without notice the time was changed to 11pm-4am, an entirely different party then. I received no replies to contacts via website, email, or FB event page. Finally the event was cancelled and I was told via form letter a refund would come within 11 days. It’s now been 14 days and no refund.

Terrible customer service and absolutely no competency in managing organising events and communicating with customers. I bought 2 tickets for the event Ciruwe du Rave is coming to Amsterdam for 12th September. First I get a communication a week after buying my tickets that the event originally planned for 7pm is delayed to start time 11pm. I ask for a refund theough customer service and get no reply.
Then a few days later I note that any social media page on this specific event disappeared leaving no trace behind. Customers this time were not informed of anything. It is a week before the event and despite contacting customer service 5 days ago, I got absolutely no reply on a) is the event still on? B) how to get my tickets refunded

Went on the Spice girls themed boat in Brisbane. You would hardly know it was Spice Girls themed as there were no decorations and they played about 5 songs for the 4 hours we were on there. The entertainment was mediocre and 2 ladies loosely dressed as baby and scary, but I felt patrons had made more of an effort. That being said, we did have a good time but we were disappointed in the lack of "spice girls" on the day! Probably wouldn't go back for any of the other themed boats.

These people are a SCAM!!! I made on February 3rd at 10:29 for my daughter’s 21st birthday which is today 18th April. I purchased five tickets for her and her friends and received the verification, QR codes, order reference number and invoice.

However, when my daughter arrived at the event, she was told that the codes were invalid. Furthermore, the venue staff was unable to locate my email or reference code in their system. Despite the anticipation for this festival, my daughter and her friends were turned away because there was no one available on-site to resolve the issue.

I'm totally disappointed by this experience. I have send an inquiry on their "form" and email (with evidence) detailing the experience and NOTHING! I would like a formal response explaining this failure and a full refund for the tickets.
This is unacceptable and unprofessional from the ticket provider FIXR and event organiser. Will never use or recommend. Sadly wasted time and money.
