If I could less than 1 star I would. What can I say but Lewisham Council, mayor Egan and his council are just plain ignorant to the suffering of the people born in the borough and those even just living here. They do not help anyone who works and they can not house people who need it yet can take money to house immigrants causing children left homeless and bedless to suffer mentally as they feel like nothing in this borough. Imagine being a teenager and no matter how much your parents work they cannot give you a bed and these teens watch all the benefit ponces and immigrants get all the help they need in this borough as they have services for them but none for working families who are struggling. They do not respond to emails and then when attempt to lie. Everyone keep every piece of evidence you have against them, do not trust their word as it is likely to be false. Ignorance at its finest.

Awful borough. Lived there for over 7 years and it's the worst borough in the area. Better off in Bromley or Greenwich (where I now live instead). Expect to get parking violations when they put up temporary traffic lights causing traffic jams, bad bin collections, awful sewage and water works, road works all the time, everywhere, bad roads, overcrowding, can't get through on the phones. It's a mess.

I am a landlord and have given my property to lewisham council! The biggest mistake of my life now I need them out they are not responding to any emails or calls! When you finally do get through They pass you from pillar to post, saying you’ve come through to the wrong department!!!!!!! Now having to go through solicitors and the court to get them out! They are awful.

Lewisham Council is very evil non caring establishment, no care at all for overcrowded flats with more than 3 children in a 2 bedroom flat and say its not a priority their is clear that their is health and safety issue and the council turning a blind eye, Sunderland mount is a pit hole mould in majority or flats no lifts overcrowded flats with multiple children and your establishment don't care until someone dies in that block then you act to media that you care and was concerned LIES, I hate all of you in that establishment non caring people it's all about a pay check that's it

Lewisham Council and Kim Wright not fit for purpose.

Underpay staff for years and fail to resolve despite a court case directing them to.

Total waste of tax payers money, paying huge salaries to Senior staff who are incompetence personified.

Lewisham cancel is organised rubber about thir camera on manor line it doesn't make any sense why they done this plus no clear sign and look at road conditions and they don't care about it I been paid 65£for nothing twice if they really care about why you don't shut that road. It's about money

Athena women's services is dodgy they don't help know one but there own pocket you reprints these people you should be ashamed.

If I could give minus 50 stars I would. The Lewisham waste collection is absolutely awful I made a complaint about failing to empty my recycling bin for no apparent reason and now they are targeting my family and not emptying it on purpose. I’ve made several complaints and nothing is done about it. This is the worst borough to live I can’t wait to move out do not move here!!

Lewisham council dug up our road for over a month. I came home late at night after work (1am), parked with one wheel on a yellow line and got a parking ticket at 7:30am the next morning despite there being nowhere to park. Contested it but the person who wrote back obviously hadn't read / didn't care. It seems to run deep in Lewisham as the bin collections / road maintenance / etc etc. are pretty bad too.

I got 3 PCNs for the same offence,driving through a poorly signed street that is only open to traffic at certain times. Rather than tell me, they waited several weeks to catch me multiple times and gave me 3 PCNs. I made a representation saying I was sorry, but that £390 for the same offence was a bit harsh, especially in a cost of living crisis, but they're just after any money they can grab

Lewisham Council - unfortunately still no response to my recycling bin request from Lewisham Council despite ordering one in February 2022. My small refuse bin was not emptied 18th July so I'm not sure where Lewisham Council expects me to put my rubbish & recycling which is something they actively promote. Garden waste service also paid for and the bin was not emptied. Residents are chased if they are late for their council tax payments and taken to court so they do know how to contact you promptly if payments are not made - however the council is not held to account for their pretty poor service levels. You cannot get anyone on the phone at all it's all automated or to respond to your emails or online account messages. Still waiting on the telephone in a queue (while working) in an effort to speak to someone 20 minutes passed so far...

I have a pretty negative view of Lewisham Council having lived in the area for some time. The Council sometimes seems to serve itself rather than local residents. Examples are: meaningless consultations that are either ignored or repeated; some pointless controlled parking zones; removal of useful facilities/services, such as local recycling containers for waste; permitting all sorts of garden and other developments in Conservation areas; not enforcing Conservation area rules, such as excessive numbers of satellite dishes; sometimes adopting a controlling/we know best/inflexible/bureaucratic approach; not or very slow to respond to correspondence; requiring about 8 or more forms to be completed to replace like for like sash windows in Conservation areas; now seeking to over-regulate pretty much all private landlords whilst not having a great reputation as a landlord itself; facilitating the over-development of central Lewisham.
