After getting quotes from a few solar suppliers it was obvious from the first visit from Paul that Let were the most efficient company. LET Electrical and Renewables installed my solar panel system in June 2026. They installed two solar arrays on my house roof and extension roof, a battery for storage, and inverter and a gateway so I can run off grid for energy independence.
I selected LET for a number of reasons. They were a local established electrical business. They did not use sub contractors (except for scaffolding)They were a trusted partner of Octopus energy. They attended the house to give a quote and suggested the best logistical setup for my house of the 4 companies that gave me a quote. They were also the best value quote.
The quality of work they carried out was of the highest standard. The disruption was minimal, they tidied up after, and they admitted they had cracked a tile on completion and returned the following day to replace it. They were hard working, honest and professional and the system works beautifully. I can not recommend them highly enough.

Lewis visited us in February to discuss our requirements and to run a site survey using his drone.

We wanted to save money by charging a battery at a night-time a cheap rate, top the battery up via solar, export to the grid, and be protected from the regular power cuts our street experiences.

Lewis came back with a comprehensive and competitively priced solution. The system was installed over two days in March.

His team installed 20 solar panels, 2 SigEnergy batteries, a SigEnergy inverter and a SigEnergy gateway.

The LET team were extremely flexible, and the work was done to a very high standard.

We are seeing real savings, and the street has experienced several power cuts and we didn’t even notice. The system has behaved flawlessly.

From our initial enquiry through to completion, the entire process was seamless. Every member of the LET Renewables team we dealt with was professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. Communication was excellent throughout, with every stage of the process clearly explained from the outset, so we always knew what to expect.

It all started with the surveyor, who provided comprehensive information about the available options and explained each step of the installation process. At our initial quote from Lewis was not only a brilliant communicator but understood the tech fantastically unlike some other companies. He drone mapped the roof, the only company from 7 who did this and maximised the quantity of panels we could fit achieving 11 where most others where between 4 and 9. After accepting the quote and formalising the agreement, Daisy in the office seamlessly arranged the scaffolding from All systems Scaffolding Ltd who arrived a few weeks later and efficiently created access. The scaffolders were typical, loud and everything you’d expect from scaffs, regardless they were efficient and worked quickly despite the heat. A week or so later the LET team arrived for the install. The first day was spent mostly cabling and getting the Equipment Installed with most of the roof brackets and rails. The second day was spent finishing the cables, panelling and final commissioning. The LET team where on site for a total of 8h day 1 and 9h day 2 all in over 30-degree heat, hats off, was hard work. After the install was finished, we have had no issues, and the system is up and running effectively. A week after install the scaffolding came down with no issues. Overall, a fantastic service with useful and accessible information.

Following research with regards to the best solar solution for our requirements, I contacted various suppliers for initial quotes.

When Lewis came to our home, he was extremely professional and promoted LET Electrical & Renewables with information that made sense and he patiently spent time to go through all my questions and findings. He also sign-posted related YouTube “Shorts” so that I could see the service that LET provided and know what the results would look like.

I was extremely impressed with Lewis's knowledge and understanding of my needs which then resulted in a quote for twenty-two solar panels, a two batteries combo, a gateway, and an EV charger.

Once agreed, I was sent a step-by-step guide on what to expect i.e. Grid Application (DNO Submission), installation date & scaffolding arrangements, what to expect on the installation day, aftercare, on-going support, and communication.

LET was evaluated with 5 other companies across the South and came up tops in terms of professionalism, expertise, advice, friendliness and cost. From first visit & evaluation, communication through application and then install last week, we were more than pleased with their performance. Thoroughly recommend!

Clear advice on the best way to proceed bearing in mind our requirements. Helpful brochure provided with various options. Work (carried out in December 2025) completed on time despite horrendous rain and in cold conditions. Employees were always polite, friendly and informative. No mess left after the work was carried out. Follow-up was very good with questions answered clearly and promptly. We have had the solar panels, EV charger and battery for nearly 6 months and are very pleased with the performance of the system. (Sigen and Hypervolt).

We have wanted to install solar and a battery pack for quite a long time. We looked at the market widely for a good installer and received quite a few quotes, but we were not happy with the quotes or the advice received. We also considered Costco Solar because of their guarantee and got quotes from them too, but the installer was not giving enough information.

We have been so impressed with Lewis and his team from start to finish. From the initial phone call discussing why we were considering having solar and what we were looking for. Paul who came to our house and worked up the proposal. Daisy in the office responsive to any question we may have. Mark and Greg who installed the solar panels and Marley who installed the Inverter and Battery, they were all very conscientious and considerate on the day of installation. We also enjoy the informative emails that Lewis sends with Solar information and Tariffs that are interesting to read. I was impressed right from the start with LET renewables. Paul who visited us to carry out the survey and plan the system for us arrived bang on time, always a good sign. He was very personable and took the time to explain the system and how it would be installed. The installation team turned up on time and the installation seemed to go very well. The job itself was very neat and all the cables and equipment were installed where we wanted them. Once again the installation team were very friendly and engaging and answered any questions we had. We were appraised of what was going on and when through the entire process from consultation to installation. I've just had Let Electrical install a 16kW solar system with 45kW/hr Sigenergy battery and Sigenergy Gateway.

The team was superb from start to finish

I found LET Electicals by chance on Facebook, I submitted an interest form and Lewis contacted me very quickly. We arranged an onsite viewing as the install was going to be complex as it was a 3 roof installation. Following the site visit the the options were presented in an easy to understand format and Lewis was happy to jump on a Zoom call to discuss options and I signed up to have the install.

The DNO process was seemless and we arranged the install for week commencing the 11th May for a 3 day installation.

The install team arrived on time and all I can say is that they were exemplary in every respect. They were punctual, polite, carefull with my property and belongings, if there were options on how items could be installed or cabling run, they always consulted me on my preference and when they left, they tidied everything up and it was at least as tidy when they left as when they arrived, if not a bit tidierand they completed the installation in 2 days.

The price offered was significantly better than other offers I had received for a superior system.
