LegalShield is a legal subscription service that provides access to a network of provider law firms for a low, monthly fee. For over 50 years, LegalShield has made it affordable and easy for members to connect with designated law firms across the United States and parts of Canada made up of seasoned lawyers with an average of 22 years of experience that can consult on things like:

- Consumer and bill issues
- Contract review
Plus, they can write letters or make phone calls on your behalf and they are at your service 24/7 for covered legal emergencies. We offer a variety of personal and business membership options and there are currently 4.5 million people protected by LegalShield.
What exactly is a legal subscription service?
Instead of paying a lawyer by the hour, pay a small monthly or annual fee and get access to a law firm that can advise you on a variety of legal issues—but without a huge bill.
What is covered under the Personal LegalShield Membership?
As a LegalShield Member, you get access to a variety of legal services, in general, including: advice on an unlimited number of personal legal issues, letters or calls made on your behalf, contract and document review (starting at up to 15 pages each) and more. Review a plan contract for complete terms, coverage, amounts, conditions, eligibility, limitations and exclusions.
If the basic personal membership doesn’t cover my specific situation, how much will it cost me?
Many day-to-day personal legal issues are covered by the standard membership with no additional fees. If your personal legal issue is not a fully covered benefit, as a LegalShield Member, your Provider Law Firm can consult with you and provide additional referral services necessary to assist you at a discounted rate of the provider lawyer's standard hourly rate.
How can I access my legal team in an emergency?
Access after-hours legal consultation for covered personal legal emergencies such as an arrest or detainment, if you’re seriously injured in an automobile accident, or if you’re served with a warrant. Just call 1-877-825-3797 to speak to a representative 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can also log in to the LegalShield mobile app and select Call Emergency Line to make your call.
What is LegalShield's cancellation policy?
LegalShield is a monthly legal subscription service, and our members have the right to cancel at any time. Per our company policy, all cancellation requests must be provided in writing. The easiest way to cancel is by emailing us at support@legalshieldcorp.com with your name, membership number, phone number, and your request to cancel the membership.
For annual memberships, you may cancel any time after your first 12 months. If you would like to speak to someone about options to maintain your membership, please call as soon as possible to keep any pre-trial hours or other benefits you may have accumulated at (844)-714-8494 between 7-7 CST Monday-Friday, and a member of our team would be happy to help.

My experience was great with one…
My experience was great with one exception. The provider attorney who assisted me ended up giving me to an attorney who was more familiar with my issue after the company I was having an issue with didn’t really seem to be understanding. The next attorney knew a lot more about this company in particular and how the basics of companies as such work. And gave me slot more information and confidence in how to proceed. Which in (2) days the company replied fair and positive. As a veteran legal shield client. We should always have a provider who knows exactly about the issue at hand and not a provider who just writes a letter based on the general knowledge of right and wrong.

We called close to the end of the business day and They provided an immediate platform (call center) to listen to and field my concern and issue. We were called by the attorney the next day (less than 24 hours).
After legal advice was given we were emailed case work that helped us understand our legal position even better.
It was extremely important to us to be able to just pick up the phone and get an answer as soon as we did so that we knew our legal rights and know what direction to go. We’ve been Legal Shield customers for years and it’s one investment we are glad we make each month. Through the years we have never been disappointed and they have always given stellar support and legal advice.
