We hired Le Cercle Project for our destination wedding in Arles on September 5th, 2026. What should have been a seamless professional service turned into an embarrassing operational disaster.

Key Issues on the Day:

Complete neglect of dietary requirements: Guests with pre-notified vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free diets were left without food for both the cocktail hour and dinner.

Unannounced menu changes: We formally agreed on Sea Bream and Filet Mignon during planning. On the day, salmon and pork in filo pastry were served instead. Management later dismissed this as a "difference in interpretation."

Absent service: Tables were left with zero wine or water during dinner. There was literally nothing in our guests' glasses during my speech and toast which was beyond embarrassing.

Clients forced to run operations: Because floor staff disappeared, the groom, best man, and family had to spend the night pouring drinks and managing the bar themselves.

Cold food & understaffing: Dinner was never announced and sat in back service areas until we went in to investigate. The food arrived cold. Staff admitted to guests that it was their first day, they had no bartending training, and the company was double-booked across 4–5 other events.

Post-Event Handling: When we raised these severe issues the next day, communication was awful. It took a full month to secure a phone call, during which management dismissed our experience entirely.

Only when issuing a written response did they finally acknowledge the missing drinks, setup delays, unserved toasts, and bar chaos. However, their response was an offer of a €1,000 partial refund—contingent on us signing a non-disclosure agreement to stay quiet.

We declined the offer. Future clients deserve transparency before trusting this company with an important event.

My wife and I hired Le Cercle Project to cater our wedding in Arles (South of France) on September 5th, 2026. Planning a wedding from abroad requires absolute trust in your vendors, but hiring this company proved to be a complete nightmare.

Behind their polished social media presence is a severe lack of operational management, basic organization, and customer care.

Here is what we experienced on our wedding day:

Contracted Menu Ignored:
Despite formally confirming our menu selections during planning calls, the caterer served pork in filo pastry instead of Filet Mignon, and salmon instead of the agreed Sea Bream. In post-wedding emails, management brushed off the fish swap as a "difference in interpretation" and claimed that in France "filet mignon" simply means pork.

Special Dietary Diets Omitted:
Guests with pre-registered gluten-free and vegan/vegetarian requirements were left with zero food options during both the cocktail hour and dinner.

Cold Food & No Table Service:
Dinner was never announced, leaving dishes sitting inside service areas unannounced until we went to ask staff what was happening. When brought out, the food was stone cold. No drinks or water were poured for tables during dinner speeches, forcing the bride to make her toast to empty glasses.

Clients Forced to Work the Event:
Floor staff completely vanished. The groom (me), best man, and family members had to spend their own wedding night walking table-to-table pouring wine for guests and running the late-night bar.

Untrained Crew & Overbooking:
Staff openly admitted to guests that it was their first day on the job, that they had never worked a bar, and had no idea what the event schedule was. The staff disclosed that the company had
booked 4 to 5 other weddings on the exact same day.

When we raised these severe failures after the wedding, management admitted in writing to the setup delays, missing drinks, unserved toasts, and bar chaos. However, they offered a minor €1,000 refund on the strict condition that we sign a legal settlement agreement to stay silent.

We refused to be paid off to hide the truth. Acting as waitstaff at our own wedding after paying thousands of euros was deeply embarrassing.

I strongly warn any couple—especially international couples planning a destination wedding in France—to avoid Le Cercle Project.
