Lawsons (Whetstone) Ltd Arvostelua

Great service

We have used Lawsons (and previously Hertfordshire Timber) for over 20 years. A hard working, professional business who are committed to providing excellent products and service. A great team especially at their Letchworth and London Colney branches. Thank you!

Helpful and understanding the need for my purchase with guidance and advice.

I am writing about the Edgware branch of Lawsons. Charlie there always remembers me and very quickly and easily locates my historical orders to check if I ordered any item in the past and tries to improve on the prices.
Most importantly he always does his best to provide me with the delivery slot that I require

The service at Lawsons in Letchworth is fantastic. The staff are friendly, efficient and so helpful. Great delivery service and competitive prices too.

Dear Lawsons (Colney),

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Jake and the entire team at your Colney branch — including Tony and everyone who assisted me — for their exceptional support in choosing my double‑slatted fence panels and the Durapost system for my DIY garden project.

Across both of my visits, the team were incredibly helpful, offering clear guidance on how to fix the panels to the Durapost system and ensuring I had everything I needed. The delivery was smooth, handled with care, and the overall service was second to none.

I will definitely be returning to Lawsons (Colney) for any future DIY projects.

Thank you again

Fast, efficient and delivered when promised

Order over the phone was easy, polite and reliable branch manager, english easy to understand.
Delivery lead time as expected, driver called and was polite and easy to understand.
Can’t put 5 star as couldn’t inspect delivered materials at time of review.
Following materials inspection - timber was in very good condition although for some reason the width and thichness of the rails varied slightly.
Worth shopping again there.

Very helpful and provide good customer service.

Professional and knowledgeable- well done to the team @ Whetstone!

Them as short pieces.

Great communication, great prices and great delivery times.

Helpful and friendly staff keen to help you to get right materials and even loading the materials into your vehicle. Quality and Competitive prices. Like the fact that the customer can wonder in the yard to see and pick the wood needed for the work at hand!.
