I instructed this company because I…
I instructed this company because I urgently needed a landlord’s Gas Safety Record (CP12) after being let down by another provider.
The engineer attended on Friday, carried out the inspection and advised me that the property had passed and that the CP12 certificate would be emailed to me.
Unfortunately, I received no paperwork before the engineer left and, by the end of the weekend, I had still not received the certificate. As my tenants were due to move into the property, this has caused me unnecessary worry and uncertainty.
Hoping this is simply an administrative delay, but clearer communication and prompt issuing of the certificate would have made the experience much less stressful.
I will update this review once the matter has been resolved.
Update:
I eventually received the CP12 certificate, but it arrived more than 48 hours after I was initially told it would be sent. I was originally advised they would try to get it to me the same day, and only later discovered they do not operate over weekends. Unfortunately, this wasn’t explained to me at the time, which caused unnecessary stress given the urgency of my situation and tenants due to move into the property. I even tried contacting the engineer directly on the Saturday to see if he could help, but received no response.
Having now reviewed the certificate, I have noticed that an “X” has been entered against the protective equipotential bonding check, but there are no accompanying notes explaining what this means or whether any remedial work is required. I may well end up having to repeat the test to remain compliant, I accept some responsibility for having accepted a relatively cheap job, ultimately you get what you pay for!

Don’t give them your phone number….
They turned up in time and performed the check as agreed. However, within 24 hours of sending the certificate, they have sent 10 messages asking for a 5 star review. I have had to block their number now, which means I won’t be able to use them in the future.

Cheap and you get what you pay for. Appalling timewasters. Engineers failed on 3 occasions out of 3 to turn up during the appointed time and messed a lot of people around. Continued to promise to deliver certificates and then failed to do so. We got there in the end but the experience was not good for my blood pressure. Avoid if possible.
