Lagden Development is a one-person web studio run by Zach Lagden from South Ascot, building websites and small business systems for companies across Berkshire and Surrey. Most of the people who get in touch are tradespeople, shop owners, pet businesses, community organisations and people with a side business that has outgrown a Facebook page. A five-page website is a one-off £449 with no monthly fees, and the site belongs to you outright. Anything that genuinely breaks gets fixed free for a year. Hosting is free for the first year, and when that year is up you're shown how to run it yourself rather than being tied in. Beyond the packaged sites, Lagden Development takes on custom work: booking and quote systems, business email set-up, moving a shop from one platform to another, tidying up a site that has gone stale, and search work so local customers actually find you. Custom jobs are quoted as a fixed price per item, with the hours shown so you can see how the figure was reached, and paid half up front and half when you're happy. The working style is plain and personal. You deal with Zach directly, by WhatsApp or email, in normal language rather than jargon. Questions are answered honestly, including when the honest answer is that something isn't worth paying for. Every site is built to be fast, accessible and easy to keep up to date, and wherever possible the domain, hosting and accounts are set up in the client's own name from day one, so nothing about your business is held hostage. Lagden Development is local first. Zach lives and works in the area, is active in local community organisations, and most clients arrive by word of mouth or from neighbours' recommendations. That only keeps happening if the work is good and the price is fair, which is exactly the point.
