Is Anti-Theft Protection Offer a scam? I submitted my application on May 3, 2023 and received confirmation of my application by automatic e-mail, stating that I would be contacted by their team within 5 to 7 days.

As I didn't receive a reply, I contacted them again on however no reply. I had already sent the purchase invoice for the Kryptonite Lock, a photo of the dismantled lock, a photo of the lock keys, the lock key number, the purchase invoice for the stolen bike, a photo of where the bike was parked, a photo of the bike before theft, a photo of the lock key. Could you please give me an answer?

I am really worried as they say you will receive a response in 1 month however i have been waiting over 2 months coming too 3 which is really disappointing.

After having my bike stolen on June 6, 2023 from my collective underground garage locked by New-York Lock Standard and Messenger Mini+ and since I had subscribed to ATPO. I submitted a claim on June 12 and received a confirmation of my application by automatic e-mail, stating that I would be contacted by their team within 5 to 7 days.
As I didn't receive a reply, I contacted them again on July 18 and 19 with all the new information in my possession: details of my home insurance cover. I had already sent the purchase invoice for the Kryptonite lock, the ATPO subscription confirmation, a photo of the dismantled lock, a photo of the lock keys, the lock key number, the purchase invoice for the stolen bike, a photo of where the bike was parked and a photo of the bike before theft.
After getting no answer to my emails and requests on their website, I came on their Truspilot page and writted a negative review on July 31. They answered me on the Trustpilot page the same day and came back to me by email the next day, August 1st to confirm that my claim was complete and gave me the amount of the compensation. I finally received the transfer for the compensation on August 17.
I'm glad it is over and that they have finally fulfilled their commitments.

Can't find a telephone number to talk to a person about shipping a replacement key to an address in Canada.
I found a price of $ 30.00 USD to send the lock to an address in MA; however I have read reviews that the company cashes the check and does not respond., There seems to be some degree of unscrupulous business! I am thinking of throwing the lock in a recycling bin and buying a cable and a padlock.

Bought a D lock from Halfords, and after 6 months it stopped working. The key gets stuck doesn’t lock,

The Anti-theft program is BS! My sons bike was stolen on school grounds, I provided Kryptonite a detailed school report And because I didn’t provide a picture of the broken lock my claim will not be further reviewed. The thief was obviously covering his tracks and left no evidence. School cameras are not angled where bikes are stored, which is completely out of my control and neighbors in the area reported someone jumping the fence after school hours. So apparently it’s my fault because I didn’t read the anti-theft policy thoroughly. Without a picture the detailed report was not sufficient enough. Now I’m left paying for a bike that we no longer own and Kryptonite can’t even offer the courtesy to pay for any of my ongoing costs. So damn me for not providing a picture of the “unbreakable lock”

The "Anti Theft Protection Program" is a joke. You pay a registration fee to participate, with the goal of being protected/ reimbursed, if you bike is stolen.
To file a claim with Kryptonite, it's mandatory to provide a photo of the broken lock.
In the majority of cases, thieves will take the lock with them when they steal the bike, as the lock could provide traces for the police. So they make it disappear as well.
And, well, according to the T&C of the Kryptonite program, you can't file a claim if the lock is gone.
This is a cheap marketing trick to make additional money while finding an excuse to disappoint customers if their bike is stolen.

No response from the Anti-Theft Protection Offer.

My bike was stolen, the lock was cut off, they claim 30 days to process the claim, it's now been over 3 months.

can anyone from kryptonite can get in touch with me regarding my unanswered claim?

I've been trying for quite some time to get a hold of someone to let me know about the status of claim its now come to 30 days still no answer

Very negative experience of their anti-theft protection scheme; clearly just a marketing scheme and they do not follow through.

20 April 23- Filed a claim
1 June 23- I sent an email to follow up as 30 business days had gone
12 June 23- Another attempt at contacting.

All with no reply from kryptonite. My claim number is 109151; and have been bitterly disappointed by the lack of any progress with this.

As if the whole farce continues; Kryptonite replies to this review asking for more details to follow up on the same day, but despite me giving this to them, absolutely no follow-up. Clearly Kryptonite would like to give the illusion of action but absolutely nothing is being done.

Both my wife’s bike and mine were stolen 2 months ago from a secured door garage and both of them were locked. We both submitted claims and neither one of us received any reply even after sending follow up emails. I guess this is just a marketing stunt and you don’t follow up on any of these claims from what I see in previous reviews.

EDIT: Although it took some time for Kryptonite to reach us, we were eventually contacted by Sandra to assist with our claims. Sandra was very helpful and the issue was finally resolved. Thank you so much for your help Sandra!

I've had to raise another ticket (419667) because my previous ticket (404004) was deleted. It feels strange that I have to come on here to get a ticket looked at. Please can the Kryptonite team have a look at ticket 419667 and send out a replacement lock as they had promised.

Purchased a lock in April, the spring mechanism appears to have failed making it difficult to operate the lock. Raised a ticket #420205 with Kryptonite customer support a week ago, still no reply, the ticket informs me if I attempt to follow up on the progress of the query I will be sent to the back of the queue. This has left me effectively paralysed not knowing when if I will receive a reply?

Update, Kryptonite has finally sent a replacement lock, thank you.

After struggling to put a claim through with a faulty website, I've now waited months, followed up multiple times also using different emails for Kryptonite, and got nothing back.

Poor, poor, poor customer service. And since my bike got stolen - clearly not a great lock either.

Kryptonite have been ignoring my email (my ticket numbers are #390519, #417975.) for almost a year. their customer service is a joke. Definitely never recommend.

I received 2 spare bike locks as expected. Good response to my chasing emails which explained there was a delay due to high number of requests.

I requested a replacement key as part of the key safe programme and have not heard anything for over a week. I don’t understand why there is such poor customer service- surely it should be easy to send an email with tracking details.

My 4 months old New York lock stopped working (and it had been troublesome from the start, getting jammed regularly). I have made a warranty request with kryptonite, and heard nothing at all except an automatic e-mail. Is there a customer service at all?

Update 11th May: Kryptonite said they will contact me, requested my details which I provided immediately. Nothing again, silence. Expensive bike lock that didn’t last even few months, disappointing.

Update 19th May: I changed my rating to 4 starts as after my last update I had an e-mail saying new lock will be sent to me. And today I have received it. Thank you. Shame it takes to go to trustpilot to get things resolved though.

From UK seems to be impossible to call them . In 2023 with VOIP technology been an everyday thing for businesees seems unreal that you don't have a working/free European number .
