Ordered a holster for my FN 509 Midsize Tactical, and when it arrived, it was completely unusable. The holster was crushed flat and wouldn't even accept my thinnest-profile handgun.
I contacted customer service, and they promptly sent a return label. I received the replacement about a week later, but unfortunately, the fitment issues remained.
While I can force the pistol into the holster, the leather is so tight that it knocks the slide out of battery going in, and drawing it requires extreme effort.
I attempted to stretch the leather using the standard plastic bag method and left it seated for several days, but it is still far too tight to safely use in a defensive scenario.
I've ordered plenty of holsters from them in the past with great results, so it's disappointing to see this level of quality control. Rather than going back and forth a third time, l'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Holster will carry a 7 shot Ruger revolver and the cylinder is fatter than standard. They accomodated the difference without a problem - great product and great company!

I received my belt and holster last week. I was very pleased with the quality of the leather and the workmanship. couldn't be happier with your product.

Ordered a TSS for a specific firearm and put all dimensions in notes. They missed those notes and holster came out of specs. I contacted them and they gave me two choices. I keep holster as it fit another firearm. They said, they would rush second holster. They did not. It also was not very well fit. I would not use them again. The holsters are decent. But prices are to high.

Craftsmanship is amazing. Well worth the wait. Details on stitching and the edges are excellence of a holster from an individual. Price reflects the above the budget choices. Lifetime quality for sure!

Absolutely gorgeous holster. I was a little hesitant to try a leather holster without a thumb break, but the fit is superb. I wanted something special for a Hamilton Bowen tuned 45 Colt Ruger Redhawk 4.2", and the model 2020 Revolver Holster fit the bill...VERY PLEASED!

This very positive experience & product is especially significant to me... my former leather company, El Paso Saddlery, seems to be in complete disarray: they will not answer the phone or emails regarding undelivered merchandise that cost me over $500! Cannot contact them, their messages say they are too busy to answer the phone or answer emails!

Just imagine: Over $500 paid to EL PASO for product not delivered... and they cannot be contacted to discuss it - this is painful!

This is the first time I've ordered a custom holster and belt (think it was called a Mexican loop). Researched a lot and settle on Kirkpatrick as a very fine company. The order process - in take was confusing. But, I had my measurements and called the company. I wanted a very nice holster/belt and this was going to cost ~$700. The woman I spoke with advised me on the belt size and I listed my firearm, i.e. a Freedom Arms 83. The belt was too small and the firearm did not fit properly. Spoke with a higher level up and they said they would have recommended a longer belt (not good now) and sent pics of the firearm getting hung up on the sights. He argued it fit when it was about a 1/2" shy of seating properly. Sad but terrible experience. They did refund the entire purchase after a fight (where I would have called my credit card company). But the ordering process was simply terrible for a new customer.

Great quality holster and seems exactly what was ordered. Fits newer model pistol. Downside is that the holster does not release the firearm very easily. And is very hard to draw pistol from the holster. Have wrapped the pistol to try and expand the holster to see if that helps or not and also doing multiple draws. But as holster releases very hard may take awhile.

Great product. Very happy with the craftsmanship. Shoulder holster is very comfortable, my Walther fits perfectly. And the customer service was great!

The holster construction and quality of the leather is very good, however, the fit for the weapon is not. It is beyond snug, to the point that the gun barely fits into the holster without having to force it in. At this point, the holster is unusable, and to me, doubtful that it would open up enough to be useful in the future.

I have been aware of Kirkpatrick's Leather Company for at least 20 years. When I wanted a quality, custom holster and belt rig for my Ruger Blackhawk 357 magnum I researched for several months online, looking at dozens of leather work companies. My search kept bringing me back to Kirkpatrick's. I was not disappointed in their product's quality when it came in the mail just short of three weeks after ordering it. It is perfectly sized to my waist and fits my pistol like a glove. It is a beautiful work of art which I will someday pass on to one of my children. I would order from them again.
