I attended an outreach event with the team maintaining Blackwall Tunnel, and it was excellent, friendly and informative staff.

From my current experience with Kier, all the negative reviews are 100% accurate. One of their idiot staff has started leaving a van parked in our street, not while they work, but they obviously live here, i.e. they bring their van home, which is illegally parked during the hours of darkness, as the moronic 'driver' always leaves it facing the wrong way at night! There are plenty of car parks on our estate, but the Kier lout NEVER uses them, despite getting home from their 'work' before anyone else, when there are loads of empty spaces. Obviously they enjoy annoying the neighbours and dragging the area down. The van never moves at weekends and doesn't move on some weekdays, so this character is NOT a hard-working tradesperson on call-out, or doing long hours that would prevent the van being left at the depot. They 'work' about 16h pw! I tried contacting Kier via the online form, but I was ignored. I sent them an e-mail, which was also ignored. I then read the reviews on here and see that ignoring complaints is common practice for them. This is a 'cowboy' construction firm that has become a PLC!
I decided my only option was to bring this unacceptable, antisocial, unprofessional behaviour to the MD/CEO. I rang the nearest office to me (High Wycombe) twice and got no reply, so I rang their central London office and got a message saying nobody could take my call. No opportunity to leave an Ansafone message on either call. Kier truly are a dodgy company! I have worked at numerous head offices of multinational companies over the last 31 years and staff MUST pick up the phone within three rings.
Both the calls I made were at approximately 11am on a Friday. I could understand my calls being unanswered if I made them at 4:59pm, or at 2:30am, but NOT at 11am on a weekday! ...I then looked at other KIER offices and called one at Crawley, where someone actually answered the 'phone. They didn't give me the MD's e-mail, but took the offending vehicle's registration number and said they'd contact fleet and try and get the van moved. Guess what? Two days later it's still there.
KIER are a firm where hardly anyone does any work and there is no discipline. Staff basically do as they like and get away with it.

My landlords have a contract with Kier to fix stuff in their flats. The short version: friendly though they are, two months after the first fix of a shower tub, the wooden table they wrote with sharpie on is still not fixed (nor is the tub). They have sent people around to take photos, twice they didn’t come, twice they did (without doing anything) and once a „supervisor“ came 2 hours late - despite me being the first job that day. The lady on the phone told me he could decide what will be done with either of the issues at hand, he negated this - it wasn’t in his power. He had promised me a solution within the next two weeks, nothing happened.
Lack of communication almost worse than lack of personnel.
Not recommended.

I am very upset that my local kia group in Lee on Solent Trading as Fine Cars Portsmouth Road have lost the Kier Franchise !!!!
This is such a disappointment as they are the best garage for service and they well know how customer service works well. I have been a customer for over twenty years as my late father also was.
To be honest I am sure this will also be a major loss to kier on more ways than one.
Who ever is responsible for making this happen is making a massive error!!! If there was any way this could be revoked it has to be done!

There should be an option for no stars. Kier is a company that you should avoid at all costs.

No need for a reply Kier as I Wont appreciate the standard hollow words! Just a heads up for anyone else having their street dug up for cable replacement.
These people are messy , uncaring and entirely unprofessional! We have had no communication, they blocked our drive without warning, have left the road partially dug up with barriers everywhere, stamped over my garden beds and the best the supervisor could Offer was some kind of a lame apology!
There’s no sight of a welfare unit so my best guess is that they use the play area / woodland as a toilet!
Where’s your pride guys??! Just plain rubbish! ( but I expect you’ve heard it all before?!) No reply needed!😡😡😡

Just had Ethan and Jordan finish a job in the FK5 region ( work to my neighbours house) 2 guys couldn’t be more accommodating and helpful as they were bordering work on my property. Total credit to their company

Rubbish connection for a start , if you want loads of stress go ahead and use this company. Poor

Absolutely dreadful company, I can't tell you the state of my bathroom after these people, don't let them in your house, they'll come to do one job very badly and leave you with 5 new jobs that need doing, seriously I can't tell you how bad they are, they will then ignore your calls and emails, send a supervisor out, who will say how bad it is and how they'll put it right, to do Absolutely nothing again but lie and avoid. Seriously these guys that fitted my bath should go back to playing with play dough 🙄

So far I am giving 5 stars because of my personal and immediate experience with Kier. I received a letter from them re: front door replacement work. I called the office, (spoke to Rachel) and got a site survey visit done on the same day. I will endeavour to keep this review updated as time progresses especially given the overwhelming negative reviews.. (no smoke without fire as they say).. watch this space..!

Was told that Kier would be undertaking essential work, though not essential to me and would be there one day. called them on 3 separate occasions to discuss, but they never got back to me. They did turn up on the day, dug a hole, threw all the debris on my front garden and then left and have not been back.

I emailed an Ellie Keelty but she has also chosen to ignore my email as well and does not care that our front garden has been ruined by incompetent staff.
I DO NOT KNOW HOW THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS. USELESS.

I was unfortunate enough to be behind one of Kier's flatbed pickups a few months ba ck when his full load started hurling off the back of the flat bed onto my mini a few months back, the damage to my car was just short of £1,000 I have video footage as well as 2 witness statements however the driver of Keir was well aware of the incident as he come back around the roundabout to remove all the load which ended un being in pieces - black plastic sheets of some sort. I have contacted Kier on numerous occasions and still had no response .. I shall have no option but to now take this up in a more formal legal way . Disgrace of a company !

I have contacted Kier Services because one if their collaborator blocked our car and tried to beat my daughter and me

I have everything in video and will post on every single social media.

The company never apologised, they are cow boys and the world should know that women arent in security when these people are around

kier we’re doing work on behalf of BT and dug my drive up, they then decided to fix it by throwing tarmac over which has now come apart, I have been complaining to them for 3 weeks and they keep ignoring me. I have now contracted the council to show what they have done. The work carried out is horrendous and I cannot believe how BT can use them.

I was swimming in my local swimming baths. And one of Kiers workers was grinding metal and sparks was flying everywhere. I complained on the way out and the manager of the leisure centre said he was ment to finish by 1 o’clock. So he was doing it whilst people swimming until 2 o’clock. Complete health and safety risk!

Used outdoor paint inside of a kitchen without windows and without fan extractor without any warning and lying (sending me to the hospital)... they caused damages for over £1500... and didn't allowed us to use the kitchen for 6 weeks costing £600 on take aways and ready meals...
And after months of lies and finding themselves unaccountable... my housing association offered me £100 for nothing but for the stress caused and for losing 5 times my formal complaints...
Anybody knows if you can call someone here criminal?

My daughter bought a kier home, The blocks on the driveway have sunk at least 3 inches around the block edging closest to the public pathway, Is this to be accepted, One word of Advice to anyone, Never buy a Kier house, Just a shame I cannot add a photo to let potential buyers view this shoddy work

After the mess Western Power Distribution left our front garden in, (through no fault of our own) and the blatant lies of ‘making good’, we were contacted by Colin Fensome of Kier, he apologised for the mess it was left in, and said he would have it sorted asap. The following day 2 men arrived in a lorry (Lavin’s of Bedford) and initially believed they had cleared it up ok, and removed the rubbish and rubble, though later realised the soil was more sand than soil, they didn’t speak English (or pretended not to, I believe) so we had to call Colin again. Fortunately we had 2 decent workmen from Kam of Northampton this time! Snowy and his colleague did an excellent job, re-turfed it, and whilst digging the garden prior to the re-turf, discovered the Lavin’s 2 had not removed the rubbish and rubble but buried it. Satisfied the job is now properly complete, but should have done it properly in the first place!!

Appalling behaviour from its staff working at Torbay Hospital... rude to patients and staff.. Intimidating.. smoking on site.. a disgrace.. those staff do not deserve there jobs

I truly cannot fault this company. I recently had my place rewired and a few things weren't how I wanted them. All it took was one call and I had an electrician out within two days. He sorted everything out for me. He was professional and patient. Answered all my questions. I would highly recommend them
