I started learning German with LinguaMerse some months ago and honestly it surprised me a lot. The app is growing and improving all the time and it really helped me kickstart my German journey in a way that actually feels natural. I like their idea of immersing in language instead of just memorizing random vocabulary. It feels like you slowly adapt to the language, like you live inside it, and this works way better then any boring school method.
What I like the most is that the app is conversation-based, not just drills or stuff like that. It uses their Beacon method where you learn full sentences from day one with words like “because” and “but” so you actually can express simple thoughts and not only say “the cat is black” forever like in other apps. Also it has great workflow with articles: you read, click any word to see grammar and translation, save it as flashcard, mark it as known. Everything in one place without hassle, so its really easy to study consistantly.
The founder is a nice guy too, he really listens to feedback and you can see how he and his team keep fixing things and adding useful features. It is rare when someone actually cares about users and not only marketing promises. My Lazy Language Club will use LinguaMerse too when they add more languages because this is one of the few apps that really helps to learn by immersion and real content, not just gamification tricks.
If you want to learn language through real sentences and real content and not waste time on shiny but useless apps, I definetly recommend trying LinguaMerse
