In April 2022 (approx) I purchased a jacket from two jackets from Jottner and one has only been used for no more than 12 days of Scottish Mixed winter climbing over 2 winter seasons.
The jacket is showing bad signs of wear just above the cuffs and has actually perforated on the right hand sleeve. I find this disappointing as I have a Paramo jacket which has endured 7 or 8 full winter climbing seasons and shows much less wear at the cuffs.
I reached out to Jottner who responded asking for the original order number and photos of the damage, I sent this information over. I am now experiencing radio silence!! No response, not even the decency to acknowledge my last email. I gave them one week and then mailed again to get an update and once again……nothing!!

Jottner is not cheap and for this reason I expected better product quality from the brand as well as customer service. Not the case.

Purchased Fenrir jacket in black, first product I’d bought from Jottnar and really impressed with the quality and warmth. Was a little unsure on sizing so went for large, fit was perfect I’m 5’9, 42in chest and 32in waist to give an idea of sizing. Did wait a few days for delivery confirmation email to come through

Bought FJORM and FLØYEN, and have to say that these are the best products in this genre that I have ever tried. Jöttnar has a history that is worth listening to.. A continuous promise to develop and push boundaries, to deliver a product they themselves believe in and would use. Cudos!

I purchased the Fenrir jacket on a Black Friday deal. The day after the purchase I was contacted and told the item was coming. It did not arrive after about a week I contacted Jöttnar and the delivery company, the latter, saying the item was still with the sender.

Jöttnar does not have a telephone contact number, which I find very poor. Eventually, the Jacket arrived and maybe it was me but it was a disappointment, very lightweight, I wore it with a base layer in the wind and unless you are moving you feel the cold. I will be returning this Item as it does not inspire any confidence in me, cold weather mastery my eye.

Jottnar products are of the highest quality. I've tried lots of brands for a wide range of outdoor activities and these guys are the real deal. So far I've bought the Fjorm down jacket, the Grim hard shell jacket and the Vanir hard shell trousers.

They're all made with excellent materials and they've really thought of everything, like a slight stretch to the wrist cuffs so you can get the jacket on without undoing the velcro every time, or the reinforced trousers hem so they'll last longer. These products are built to last!

The customer service is also excellent - I had some questions, which had amazingly fast and very helpful responses from the customer service team. Delivery was rapid and everything was delivered exactly as expected.

I highly rate this brand - well worth the money!

Lovely quality and high performing item (Fenrir down jacket) for a good price. Not cheap but you pay for what you get here and competes with the like of Arc'teryx and outdoes them them on the down jacket front in my view. Love the insignia colour as well.

I think the jacket could be even better if it had an outer front chest pocket and a slight peak on the hood.

From a logistical perspective I received the item within 4 days of ordering it. Fine for me and had no issues with Evri delivery either. Website was easy to navigate and all the info I needed to make a decision was easily accessible. The 10% discount was a nice bonus too!

Will I shop here again? Definitely!

First delivery arrived fine -all good.
2nd delivery never came. Evri seem to have the parcel but have not delivered it. Have been waiting more than 2 weeks now.... Jottnar customer service have been excellent however - always responding quickly and refunded my purchase today as soon as i requested a refund.
I would not order from them again if I needed the items quickly. Such a shame they use EVRI.

I've bought Jottnar gear for over 3 years now and it's been the best outdoor kit I've bought - the attention to detail is fantastic and it's very obvious they've tried and tested the kit themselves as e very pocket and little detail is perfectly placed for convenience when climbing, hiking or skiing. Fenrir and is my go-to jacket as soon as cold weather hits. Pay for what you get with Jottnar - not cheap but obvious why - premium stuff.

I own multiple items of Jottnar clothing. The stitching began to fail after considerable use in my ski trousers. They responded immediately to my email, encouraged me to do my own local repair to complete my ski trip and then offered me my choice of any brand new pair to replace them. They are exceptional.

Really great experience with Jottnar. I was expecting customer service to be terrible, based on the reviews I read here, but I took the risk.
I had ordered the wrong size of a down jacket, however it did not include the returns form. So I emailed the customer service team and they sent me the form and explained clearly what I had to do. Sent the jacket back and the day it arrived at their site, they had already sent out the correct size, which I received a few days later.
I cannot fault this service.

I made two purchases from Jottnar, the first a Magni lightweight hooded top.
This is well made, functional top for mountaineers. Lots of people are mentioning the extra length, in the sleeves. This is superb for climbers, when stretching out for a handhold and covers the wrist area(normally exposed during such a movement. I liked my hoodie so much I ordered a down jacket for my wife. Again the quality is excellent, it is lightweight and compact. The down is treated with a water repellant formula in case you get caught in the rain without your waterproof layer(this has happened to me in the past and can be fatal, on the mountain)
Overall, this is a company that caters for serious outdoors people. Other outdoor clothing manufacturers have gone down the urban, fashion market and that’s fair enough but, their clothing is not much good/practical for climbers.
I highly recommend this brand and intend to upgrade my waterproof jacket in the near future.

'd love to be sitting here writing a review of this jacket.... Instead I'm looking to now having to buy a separate present for my girlfriend as this said jacket been sat in Evris depot for the last 10 days! Why on earth do you use such a renowned company for being one of the worst couriers in UK? I know they the cheapest but seriously, you're meant to be a professional company with a military foundation. Using Evri is a joke, for the cost of your items going for the cheapest courier says you don't care about after sales. Add to this you don't even make this clear before ordering who your courier service is, as if I knew I'd never order from you. Every other company I've dealt with has given options of other couriers and even Royal mail have managed to deliver on time!. Untill you sort out your after sales and courier service I for one will never be ordering anything from you again. Need to get a grip of your courier.

Ps saying your telephone lines down very convenient....

Customer service useless and not willing to respond or help out with item not delivered and ruined Christmas gift for son. Dont even have a contact number. Will purchase from a reputable company next time

I was looking for a mid layer jacket to wear under my hard shell jacket and the Asger fits the bill exactly. It allows comfortable warmth and wind proofing while out walking in the hills. It’s super light, and not bulky under the hard shell. I ordered two, a medium and a large as I was uncertain about the size. A large was my preferred size. I am 5ft 10, 42 chest and 12.5 stone. The medium was OK but I preferred a little more “space”. As it was my wife kept the medium as she wanted a mid layer too!
I was a bit gutted when they came on sale with 20% off a couple of weeks later.
I will be looking at a down jacket or a new hard shell to replace my current one.

The quality of Jöttnar products is phenomenal. I am a repeat customer and have been more and more satisfied with each product. They are a hidden gem in outdoor clothing.

Jottnar products are great but there's sizing issues which they're not willing to address. A jacket purchased using the size dimensions on their website did not fit and I had to pay for its return despite querying this with customer service. Twice I've also paid for items which were only dispatched after contacting customer service. I have to say that they responded quickly when my items weren't dispatched. However, they have ignored my comments on sizing & did not put the review I submitted on their website. So, unfortunately, other customers will experience the same issue.

The day after submitting this review on Trustpilot, Jottnar uploaded a review ostensibly dated from 9/5/22 saying that the customer had to go up a size in the jacket I purchased. There was no such review when I purchased my jacket or even yesterday before I submitted my Trustpilot review.

6hrs in torrential Scottish rain in the mountains I was warm and bone dry throughout what more can I say

I bought the down jacket for men, after owning several north face, superdry and mountain warehouse jackets, this Jottnar one is by far the most comfy, warmest and hard-wearing jacket I've ever owned. I live in it. Highly recommend!!

I have yet to have a worse experience with an online purchase. On Dec.14, 2021, I placed an order for two beanies (meant to be a Christmas present for my ALS suffering husband) and received a text informing me that I would be notified as soon as the items shipped. On Dec.21, 2021, I reached out via email to inquire about the shipping and was informed the items hadnt shipped because 1) they did not have an email on file and 2) couldn’t connect to my phone. Regarding the former I have never been able to place an order online without providing an email and I don’t understand how it could even be possible for orders to be placed without an email on the Jottnar website if they’re unable to ship without one. Regarding the latter, I have never had problems receiving or making calls or texts. I replied to their email by conveying my astonishment and requesting an immediate refund. I started a communication with them through PayPal the following day and have not heard from them since. It’s been 7 days since the email and 15 days since the order was placed. I caution anyone to think long and hard before doing business with this company.
