I've used JLCPCB for bare PCBs without issue, but their assembly service has been a disaster.
They lost parts I pre-purchased through their own platform. They produced boards with cold solder defects. They then shipped the defective, incomplete boards two days after I explicitly told them not to ship. That was three weeks ago and I still have no working product.
I've been asked three times to arrange a local repair. Each time I've explained it's not possible — they never populated an SMD component that they lost in the first place. Each reply only addresses one issue and ignores the others. It genuinely feels like I'm communicating with a script rather than a person.
When I requested a replacement order, I was told it "goes beyond their normal compensation policy" due to their material costs and production backlogs. Every response uses vague language — they "may" do this, they "may" do that — but nothing is ever confirmed.
I'm also now facing £81 in import charges on a defective package I never asked to receive, which is sitting in a courier warehouse with no plan for what happens next.
If you're ordering bare PCBs, JLCPCB is competitive and reliable. If you need assembly and something goes wrong, be prepared for a support process that prioritises wearing you down over actually resolving the problem.

Happy so far with the product received. The PCBs were vacuum-packed well. Quality also seems to be good. Hoping to use their services more.

The pcb is excellently done, I certainly wouldn't be able to do something like that at home. My choice is jlcpcb, because they have a fantastic easyeda program from which everything needed for a quality pcb can be easily done.

The ordering process is easy, the quality is good, and it is on time, but you can't use Gopay for payments yet.

PCB's were manafactured quickly and were shipped quickly. I received them to the europe in like 1.5week so thats very good. Everything worked as expected.

The very reasonable prices of JLCPCB make it feasible to iterate through consecutive versions until a perfect version. This was my first try at a very modest cost.
