It needs A LOTTTTTT of work, it lacks any creativity and repeats a lot of the same things no matter how many times you swipe, the speaking for you is also VERY annoying. Along with ignoring chats, and mainly being focused NSFW content which gets lackluster quickly as well. Where’s the interactivity? Genuinely has potential it just needs to be worked on HEAVILY.

Even basic features don't work as they should. You keep getting constant errors. It is extortionately expensive comparing to its competitors, like AIGoLov.com
where the quality is higher and there are no glitches. Janitor AI glitches can last for a long time. It can get really annoying. Also there is no financial transparency: the rules of use are not clear. It's way too expensive for a simple chat service (which it really is because of a very poor Ai memory). It's not really self-learning, as advertised. So far I haven't found anything of value there.

Janitor AI has to be worse than Spicychat AI. The memory is trash, the Roleplay never does what you say, doesn't give you an option ti say what was wrong with the damn response, the list goes on. I cannot stand their roleplay because of this exact reason. And it gets much worse because when you give a response one star, it decides what is wrong with it instead of you putting in your own opinion into it. That is what brone my patience for this app and why I hope Janitor AI does better.

Ein dümmeres Chatprogramm hab ich noch nie gesehen. Man kann da so ziemlich alles - außer chatten natürlich. Es gibt keine Buttons dafür und man kriegt sie auch mit intensiver Unterstützung einer KI nicht her. es liegt also nicht daran, dass ich einfach zu doof bin. Ich habe auch schön brav bestätigt dass ich über 18 bin und den NFSW Regler aktiviert und die Einstellungen gespeichert. Nichts.

Mein einziges Verbrechen ist wahrscheinlich dass ich ein Chromebook verwende. Vielleicht denkt Janitor.ai ja deshalb automatisch, dass ich noch unter 12 sein muss oder so, keine Ahnung.

the ai is impossible to roleplay it always turns into a boring chatgpt this ai website suppose to be 18+ plus but since ai keeps saying something like "sorry i cannot insist" or something like that making it hard to chat with the ai and also the ai is also broken keeps genrating words until the website crashes or lags the heck out of your firefox making the website completly horribly bad to roleplay just find a another ai chatting websites that ai dont say "im sorry i cannot insist with that message"

The whole site is so dumb, the bots are completely stupid EVEN if YOU yourself make them, give them correct prompts, they just don’t work. No one should use this, it’s a waste of time, you won’t get a single good reply from bots.

It really went downhill, no need to sugarcoat it, everyone should stop using these ai slops anyway, go and write fanfics yourself, if you’re able to make prompts and replies then you’ll enjoy writing in general.

I used to use this website a lot when i had a crippling chatbot addiction before learning how bad AI is. But this rating isn't about the morals of AI. It's about the absolute jaw-droppingly horrible quality of the website. For a while, it wrote really ok responses, not great, but worth my time at least. And then they decided to roll out a feature to let you customize responses and ban words. Spoiler alert, banning words does nothing, the sliders do nothing, the replies became nonsensical no matter what I adjusted, and the replies weren't in character half the time. And THEN they decided to make an app. And I deleted it and my account shortly after, because the quality tanked SO MUCH that no amount of effort from my end worked to make it reply the way it's supposed to (funny for a bot that's meant to please the user and MEANT to be addicting) and it ticked me off so much that I just couldn't stand to use this stupid app anymore. It used to be good, now it makes slop that isn't even legible half the time, and doesn't even reply as the character. Honestly so immersion-breaking for it to suddenly be like "hello, yes i am a language model. I will try my best to reply calmly and properly" and dont even get me started on the therapist speak. Angst of any kind was literally impossible. Even on bots tagged as angst. My suggestion, use ao3 instead, its free and you dont need an account, and you dont have to use any effort to read a 200 word fic. Or write something yourself. If you can type enough to use an ai bot, you can make a story of your own without help.

Janitor AI is a website with lots of bots and characters that allows you to do pretty much anything. However, the base AI is rather shoddy, going into cliches such as 'dangerous game', 'ruin you for anyone else', and 'playing with fire'. I'd give Janitor like.. 2/5 if only Janitor base model existed. Luckily, there's an easy interface for proxies, allowing you to potentially link to Deepseek for more advanced configuration. Also, lorebooks allow for advanced set up - even if only user can trigger lorebook currently. I feel kinda bad that nsfw photos aren't allowed as the picture for the bots, but again, this is a text based interaction. Hopefully Janitor will just continue improving.

This website used to be AMAZING.
Even when it was still developing (it still is in the developing stage even now, but I mean like really just starting out), I loved using it, and could spend hours here. Nowadays, not so much.
Everything breaks and nothing works like intended. Constant errors with validating the message rating, prompts not working (this makes me mad the most), bots not listening to descriptions, whether it be the character description itself or the one user inputs, and newly, generating text on behalf of the user. This situation with speaking for the user is an ancient problem that has already been fixed in the past, working perfectly fine for multiple months, and now I'm very sad to see it back.
I feel like the staff only makes this website worse with each update, and they cannot manage it properly. Either way, it feels like I've been witnessing the downfall of this project, at least in my eyes. I used to spend hours here, now I can't wait to turn it off again.

I enjoy Jai a lot, I find it more detailed and thorough than Cai, but the new way to put tags is horrendous.. Previously there was a panel-like system so you can see all the main tags at once.. I opened it today and you have to scroll? left to right, and I feel that just makes it harder to find what you're looking for... Jai PLEASE change it back..

Very interesting chats, amazing story lines. Just beware of the weird creators that seem to get no repercussions. And P.S. I was temporarily banned. Like 10 seconds.

This site goes down very often and has got a lot of issues lately but its the only website that actually is uncensored and has decent customizable characters and everything for free and nothing complicated (well not as today since the Janitorai LLM got censored because of probably what its working on, hoping it gets fixed soon) with all that i cant give it a bad rating

It's good writing wise. However I'm sickened by an update they put through that "allowed proxies" automatically to all my work without me knowing. Everything I made privately was stolen without my knowing until way later. They never resolved the stolen bot either. Really unprofessional and not safe to use for users. Be careful of this site.

It's good but, one day I went to chat, and it logged me out. Once, I signed back in my data was lost, all my chats and all my personas.

I used to really love Janitor AI. But lately, its been... avoidable, to say the least. The quality of the LLM peaked back in November to December, but ever since they set the model back to Octobers model the quality of the responses, with and without advanced prompts, have just been getting worse and worse, to the point where I almost miss using open ai. Sometimes the advanced promtps seemed to be ignored by the LLM, and the rating system is practically useless. The mods and developers have a long way to go when it comes to properly communicating, and overall the site leaves much to be desired. Not to mention the random cloudflare pop ups that cut off a message when its finally long enough and good quality...
