Even though we pay for the premium there are still adverts all the time. Will be cancelling soon.

Ok, I’ll start by saying I’ve used Prime, Netflix & Disney+ for years…I know what to expect from a streaming platform.

ITVX is absolutely diabolical!! When you watch it for free you have to suffer the endless ads - fair enough it’s free BUT…when they’ve ALL played problem free & the episide is due to resume it just buffers & buffers continually…! 🙄😡 So you pay for the premium ad-free service & the buffering doesn’t get much better!! & the show keeps stopping due to an error during playback! This never happens with Prime, Netflix etc.

And most annoying…It makes u want to scream!!! it never remembers where you got to when you stop mid-episode or what season, episode you’re up to! This is the only app I’ve ever experienced that does this! I can flick through months, in fact years of “continue watching” on Netflix & it remembers them all! ITVX doesn’t remember what I was watching earlier today!!
Also why are so many ITV series missing? Joanna Lumley’s Danube has just started…where’s all of the previous ITV travel documentaries of her’s? Nile, Silk Road Adventure, Greek Odyssey, Japan etc. Where’s all of the ITV serial killer dramas? You charge for premium but actually give us nothing back! I wish you’d start releasing ITV material on blu-ray & I’d buy it & watch it that way! Uninterrupted, ad-free, buffer free, hd quality & my blu-ray player remembers where I got to!

So PAID GOOD MONEY to have uninterrupted viewing. Fair enough no commercial ads just ITV promotions every 10 mins!
What a waste of money and a disgusting misrepresentation of what you are paying for

Awful. Always has been awful. Drops out every advert break then makes you watch more adverts. Doesn't remember where you where if you return later to the show. Fast forward and rewind make it drop out. Terrible. Why? In 2025, why?.

Here we go again. Trying to watch the thrilling Code of Silence on ITV X. Continuously interrupted by loss of download.
Then have nerve to tell me it's my problem, loss of service.
Instant check on "Oockla speedtest" shows a download speed of 70+ mbps.
Simply they just will not spend the money on a decent sized gateway.
Sadly yet again i have to give this critique one star.

By far the worst TV viewing platform there is. Incredibly slow, counter intuitive and drops out regularly after the incessant ads. IPlayer is a millions Mike's ahead.

Unusable, I choose not to use this channel at all anymore but there is one show which has unfortunately moved to the dreadful itvx. It’s a painfully agonising experience trying to get through an episode of big brother !!!!!

Dreadful. In comparison with BBC iplayer there is no comparison.
Can't resume play, Can't fast forward to pick up were you previously watched. I try not to use it.
Anything ITV I record. It's so much easier.

Why oh why can one of the biggest channels on British TV not get their catch up streaming service working properly??
itvX constant lagging, crashes our TV which is on Virgin media Super fast broadband, but yet runs slow. And don't get me started on the quantity of adverts.

This app is absolutely shocking. It constantly crashes, freezes after adverts, and half the time won’t even get back to the programme. It pauses randomly, repeats itself, and is basically unusable. You’d think a major company like ITV could manage a working app, but this is one of the worst streaming experiences out there. Total waste of time — needs a serious update

Utterly utterly useless! Programmes stop streaming at an ad break and you’ve no idea if or when the programme might resume. How on earth can ITV get away with having such a poor performing app and why don’t the broadcasting authorities give them a rocket for this appallingly abysmal service?

Utterly UTTERLY useless. It doesn't matter what platform you are using, the app is simply terrible. By far and away the worst streaming service of them all. It takes 45 minutes to watch a 30 minute program because it crashes or randomly restarts back at the beginning. You spend more of your time fast forwarding back to where you were than watching the program. It never remembers where you were. It doesn't even remember what programs you were watching so you cannot automatically start watching from the point you left it. Adverts cut in at random points rather than when the director intended them to and usually they cause the app to crash. You see the same advert played two or three times in a row. Watching live usually doesn't work, when it does it cuts out and you can't go back to the point you were watching. And if you think you're going to cast a programme from your phone to a TV think again - they've disabled it. The only streaming service I have ever used that cannot be cast.
For some reason I lost my mind and tried Premium once. One of the supposed benefits is it removes adverts but it simply doesn't. I didn't watch a single program without adverts. I just don't understand how they can justify claiming that it is ad-free. You can also download programmes but they automatically delete themselves before you've had a chance to watch them.
Worst of all it's been like this for years. All apps have teething problems with updates and occasional glitches whereas this app has never worked properly and it never improves.Honestly, ITVX has absolutely no redeeming features at all.

Shocking service adds run smoothly what a surprise but programs buffer

Logging on is an infuriating nightmare. They should be paying customers who manage to break the labyrinthine paths of vague failure notices as you put the details in again and again and again. There are probably some unwritten rules, but the content's not worth the extended effort.

Finding ITVx almost unwatchable. Constantly stopping after advert breaks and then have to try restarting program, keeps recurring. Cleared cookies, reinstalled. The same. Certainly putting me off trying to watch anything.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. It's time this was sorted. Impossible to watch anything without it stuttering and buffering. Unsurprisingly the adverts work fine. Absolutely disgusting service.

Can I have minus stars please? ITVX is absolutely rubbish. I’ve tried on BT Vision and through Amazon Firestick… just crappy! Constantly crashes, “Something went wrong” 😑 REALLY? You don’t say. All these negative reviews… why aren’t ITV doing something about it?

We have never watched a full episode of anything without disturbances, with whirling or too many advert breaks . This is the worst streaming channel. They need to sort it out .

Absolutely shocking channel. Unable to watch any programmes due to buffering or crashing! Tried to watch a few things. They manage to show numerous adverts without any problems, but, a few minutes after the programme starts, it crashes.
If you haven't tried, save your time and don't bother.
