The pension maze made easy .
This is something I just wouldn't be greatly at understanding as I haven't had to deal with it before but TJ put me totally at ease right through the whole process. I really hadn't a clue as to what had to be done . He led me through the maze explaining everything very clearly each time .

The ridiculous cost of staying a night in a private hospital in Ireland …
We received the details of payments paid to the hospital today , and were horrified to learn that Irish Life , actually paid 15,290.42 for a two night stay in the Bons Galway .
The consultant received 1569.00, along with the 1,650.00 I paid , so just over 3,000 euros?
How can this be possible that these hospitals are charging such ridiculous amounts of money , with no questions asked by the health companies?
This issue needs to addressed immediately as all it’s doing is pushing up the prices of people’s health insurance in this country.

Be very careful with IL pension products
Have a pension fund there. Be warned, very unresponsive and poor service. My fund is overdue to be paid. Can't get them to pay out for several months. Constant delays, requests for documents already provided and basically anything to avoid paying up. Not recommended.

Very quick service
Very quick service. I was out in one hour, ten minutes. However, the overall cost, I.e. Doctor's Fee, X-Ray and Injection was very expensive.

App is difficult to access
Irish Life health app is difficult to use. I used to be able to access it with a PIN but that seems to have gone by the by. It is email and password, if you forget password you can get a code sent to your email.... By the time you get back to the app though, if your are using your phone, you are back to the login screen. I had to use a second device. Hard work.

Terrible Healthcare insurance …
An absolutely awful company to deal with, terrible customer care which you will be lucky to get a reply from and if you do they will cut you off mid conversation.
As for making a claim , this company will do everything they can to not pay out on a simple claim unless you jump through numerous hoops.
Avoid Irish Life Health at all costs because that’s all it will do is cost you and not them.

Usually payments are settled quickly…
Usually payments are settled quickly but there is usually an excess.
My premium went up from €170 to €200 per month this year. A considerable amount for a senior citizen.
