I have lost approximately €13,200 due to poor and misleading financial advice.

The counselor was dishonest, pushy, and strongly insisted I use their "solution" instead of other available options on the market. He failed to properly explain the pros and cons of the investment contract. In fact, he didn’t even fully understand the terms himself, as the contract was actually with a third-party provider (RL360), and he gave me incorrect information that led me to make a very bad decision by signing it.

After 20 months of contributing, I reviewed the numbers and confirmed them with the counselor:
I was paying €1,704 in fees for the first 12 months, just to invest €7,920 per year, that’s more than 20% of the invested amount going to fees.

The plan was for 25 years, and the structure is a trap:
If you cancel within the first two years, you lose all your invested money. If you plan investing the 2 first years and then wait the remaining 23 years, the contract is made for you to pay much for fees so that you are constrained to keep investing and pay their fees. Their fees are so high that you’re unlikely to see any return.

In short, this product is designed to drain your money, not grow it.
I strongly advise against working with this company. You are being scammed under the guise of financial planning.

They get your number somehow and they do not stop calling no matter what. They have an option to be removed from their list by pressing 9. That just increases their call rate daily. A nightmare robocall bully that never stops. Do Not Do any business with them. I don't even know why they have my number

Infinity Financial Solutions plays a significant role in the financial services industry in Asia. However, potential clients should thoroughly evaluate the cost-effectiveness of their services, regulatory adherence, and overall client service. It's advisable to compare their offerings with those of other companies in the sector to make an informed decision.

Tilney Bestinvest (now Evelyn partners) is a very expensive option for expat investors. Buying this product in the UK, is completely different to buying it as an expat from Infinity Financial Solutions. Many expats buy into the plans thinking they are getting a UK-regulated solution when that isn't the case. Just because the funds are regulated in the UK, doesn't mean the expat platforms are also regulated. Regulation though is the smaller issue compared to cost. In sum then, it is ironic that Tilney Bestinvest (now Evelyn Partners) does a "spot the dog" feature, where they mention the worse performing funds. The recent stock market declines and volatility is a good warning to potential investors. Despite being told that diversified funds would reduce the volatility during bad times, even if they don't beat the market long-term, Tilney's funds haven't beaten a diversified portfolio of index and bond funds. Perhaps one day they could mention some of their own funds in the spot of the dog commentary!

As an expat I invested through Infinity Financial Solutions during a period working in KL from 2011-2015, While the Infinity staff I dealt with were personable, aggregate charges on my investments were high. In my view, long term savings prospects with them were poor due to a combination of investment and platform charges. Avoid.
