Absolute rip offs charge £130/hr for work h they don’t actually do .
Tried too charge me twice when id already paid .
Said they’d program second key too bcm they fitted but didn’t work got to take it back to be reprogrammed
Rude and overcharging inadequate service and the problem I took my vechile in for is still there and I’m £900 down ☹️☹️☹️🤮

I recently attempted to buy a car from Hutchings Hyundai - Bridgend, drawn in by the allure of what seemed like a perfectly fine vehicle. I was so committed that I even put down a reservation—yes, I know, gold star for me. Last Friday, I innocently inquired about the plug-in battery's health, because, you know, I like my cars like I like my smartphones: actually capable of turning on.

Meanwhile, I ditched my old car to 'Motorway' since the trade-in offer from Hutchings Hyundai was laughably low. I organized a collection with 'Motorway' for Thursday, feeling quite pleased with my cleverness.

But hold your applause! This Monday evening, Hutchings Hyundai drops an email bombshell—turns out, the car has a fault and they can’t sell it to me. Shocking plot twist, right? It's almost like they realized cars are supposed to be roadworthy before listing them for sale. Thankfully, I hadn't exchanged my car with 'Motorway' yet, dodging what could have been a devastating sequel: 'Man Without a Car.'

The whole ordeal has been an eye-opener. I wasted time, energy, and a reservation fee on a phantom car. So, a standing ovation for Hutchings Hyundai for redefining my car buying experience—I’m now off to find a more reputable brand where the cars actually move. Cheers to new adventures... far away from Hyundai.

Hutchings Hyundai Pontypridd wanted 3hours plus vat labour just to look at my car. Just shy of £350.
Extortionate for what would only amount to a tech doing a short 10 min test drive and plugging it in to their computer.

Booked with a rival dealership Wessex in Cardiff instead, a far more reasonable £80+vat to diagnose my issue.

Safe to say I won’t use Hutchings for any future servicing work or when I come to replace the car.
No tech was ever going to spend 3 hours working on the car. Blatant rip off.

Came to test drive a Toyota Yaris, the car was dirty and malodorous (stale cigarette smoke). More importantly it would not start. Drove an hour to get here. Connor was polite and apologetic and got jump leads but neither he nor colleagues could work out how to jump start the vehicle. Manager seemed more concerned about eating lunch with his wife while we stood outside in the rain. Connor did offer to bring the vehicle to us for a test drive at a later date but due to above-mentioned najor red flags, we declined. Won't be coming back. What a waste of time!

This is the worst garage I've ever had the misfortune to use. I took my hyundai to be serviced and they managed to over tighten something that meant the whole thing flooded with oil. They of course denied it was their fault, but I had it verified by both AA and another garage. I then part ex'd for a nearly new car from them, which having done less than 4000 miles, had to have fuel injectors replaced on 4 separate visits. 2 of these visits were after they supposedly serviced it and it failed to drive the very next day! They charge for a courtesy car, their servicing prices are extortionate, and their staff are rude and unhelpful. I cut my losses and got rid of my hyundai, just so I don't have to deal with them again or part with my hard earned cash to a company that doesn't deserve it. I'd recommend avoiding them like the plague!

Took the Hyundai vehicle for MOT and to have the adblue system looked at, was sat for days without them looking at it, some issues affecting the estate they were on, which was out of their control, but communications was appauling, had to chase them all the way, They Failed the car on MOT, yet proceeded to do a service on it, charged over £500 for failed mot, service and diagnostic check of adblue system, then said it would be over £5500 to fix as it all needed replacing. Took it to another garage a few miles away, fixed adblye issue with a £53 sensor, put all brand new tyres on it, and did any other remedial work on it to get it through the MOT for just over £700, Will not be going to Hyundai again, nor will i ever buy another

Swansea Hyundai no longer has a parts department, They gave me a phone number of the Pontypridd branch been phoning them for four days they dont answer the phone then goes too answering machine
Have left my phone number, they say they will get back to me but they dont bother

Booked the car in as I was informed the valve had gone on my tyre, rather than do a professional job and check that the work needed doing they blindly changed the valve and returned the tyre to me. If they had done their job properly and checked the tyre they would have picked up on the puncture that was causing the deflation and would not have returned the tyre in dangerous condition. Luckily I wasn't in the car that the tyre belonged to as I would have been travelling at 70mph on a tyre that they deemed safe no long after leaving the garage with two small children in the car! Good knows what could have happened! Their excuse was that I hadn't payed for the tyre to be checked, even though I was given two prices over the phone as to what it could be! I would say being given 2 prices would indicate that they would be making sure they were fixing the correct thing.... But then that would be a bit too professional..a score of 2.9 on here says it all and I should have checked prior to booking it in.

One star is generous. Bought the car from Hutchings Pontypridd. Huge mistake. I told them as soon as I bought the car about the very loud ticking sound. They ignored me every time. Took it to another garage who kept saying take it back. The timing chain broke and they won’t help and won’t do anything about it. Stay away if you value your money and time. £10,000 for a car to last less than 2 years!! STAY AWAY from there!

Well being so fed up with this garage is an understatement. We live just over an hour away via the M4. We have complained on numerous occasions about (1) interior noise and (2) exterior suspension noise and rattling from outside. There is also
vibration from the front wheels when on the motorway, probably causes the there being 4 different tyres on the vehicle. On top of that the radio, which isn't a standard factory one has played up since the day we bought it, and they have palmed
us off with the guy we deal with will come and get it sorted( and haven't)! I was also told by a rather rude service manager (Matt) that its not a standard factory radio, so they won't be able to do much for us where that is concerned. Fact of the matter its the radio, that was in there when we bought it, and it doesn't work properly!?!
We went up there last Friday to fix any issues, and have come back from there, with nothing done to the vehicle to make us think anything has been fixed. And I'd just like to add that that when we took it for a test drive the service person(Matt) drove our

car in an aggressive manner and talked to myself, as though I was someone beneath him. It is
still making noises, inside and outside, the vibrations is still there, and the radio is still not functioning properly. Oh and an added problem from our last visit is tje glove compartment has failed to close! A comedy of errors by thos group Let down, and a joke! We are regretting buying a car from
here 100%! Full of promises yet have failed on all fronts. Avoid avoid avoid!!!

First service at Swansea Hutchings Hyundai - very professional process. The online booking form was easy to complete, service date and time agreed. I particularly liked the video of my car by the specialist technician and the information provided. The entire team are fantastic and go above and beyond to help customers.

I purchased a Vauxhall Grandland from the Pontypridd dealership when the vehicle was 1 year old. The car is immaculate inside and out and now at 5 years old only has just over 50,000 miles on the clock. This car has had full service history with them and any work done has been done by them. In July this year my car wouldn’t start and the EML came on, I called the RAC who could not fix it at roadside and informed me this was the second Grandland he had this week with this problem. The car was taken via recovery to this garage. After 1.5hrs they couldn’t establish the fault so I authorised another 1.5 hrs to do this. After 3 hours they said they still couldn’t establish the fault and if I wanted to know what it was it would cost me a minimum of a further £550 after having paid £288.
I refused to pay this further amount and arranged for my car to be taken to another garage at my expense. I called the dealership to let them know to which they agreed as I had paid the bill. My car was collected and taken to a new garage, to my horror half of my engine was loose rolling around in the boot and when I called Hutchings they revealed that there was more of my engine still at the dealership!!!!!!
My car is now in a worse state of repair than when I took it in!!!!!!
Hutchings are now saying that they think the car will need a new engine and that is priced at approx £8000 but they are prepared to discount it by 15%, what a joke, this is appalling after the car cost me £17000.00
Beware buying a Vauxhall as if they had told me the car would need a new engine at 50,000 miles I wouldn’t have wasted my money. Please research views before you get caught out like I have!!!!!

I needed to buy a really reliable second-hand car. I had seen the car that I wanted a Hyundai i10 1.2. As I have spent very little on second hand cars in the last 19 years I was shocked how much I would now have to spend. Very anxious that as I would be spending thousands and not hundreds I wanted to make sure the car was suitable. Jason Sturcbecher answered all my questions and I did have many, he has a vast knowledge of the Hyundai i10 and took the time to go through everything with me as he knew that I was worried about spending so much money. I have been driving my Hyundai i10 for a few weeks and I love it! A big thank you Jason Sturcbecher from a very happy customer.

I took my car in for service with not a scratch on it. It was returned to me with many scratches on the bonnet. I confronted the staff but was told those are stone chips. So I complained to hyundai head office weeks ago but nothing. The scratches were caused by a screwdriver being used to open the bonnet catch.

Chaos with part ex! Poor communication. Buyer left with a fine and enforcement letter.

Bought a car with Vauxhall in Pontypridd. No issue with the car.
The issue is with the part ex.

Car part ex was done in November 2021. Due to miscommunication between Paul Evans and myself, I was not made aware that due to private plates being taken off that they would need another log book as I'd handed over one on receipt of sale. I received an email from him two days before Christmas and dropped the log book to him personally in January 2022. Absolutely fine, assumed it to be sorted from there.

TWO MONTHS LATER. The car is pictured in a bus lane in Cardiff with who I assume to be the new owner. I receive a notice from the council and instantly get in touch with Paul. I'm assured its an easy fix and I sent the original letter to the new owner (I'm sure there's a GDPR issue in them giving me that information). Again, thinking it's sorted.
A few months later I get another copy of this letter and get back in touch with Paul asking for something to be done. I take the letter to him personally and he takes a photo copy and assured me he would call the new owner and make sure it is paid while he is on the phone to him. OK great I thought.

A few months go on and nothing through the post so I trusted Paul that this was sorted.
We get another one. This time due to lack of payment I'm issued with additional enforcements. My partner speaks with Paul on my behalf and Paul states he will call and get it sorted. Following a call with Cardiff Council I can confirm there are no notes on file of this call being made.

I have since been Gaslight by Paul that all of this is my fault due to the lateness of the log book (even though it was with him 2 months before the fine was issued). He has now become rude and would not discuss this with us and no longer takes accountability in his part in this.
We are still working with Cardiff Council to resolve the matter.

Great buying experience with Shane. This guy couldn't have been more helpful. Good knowledge of the car I was buying and made the whole process easy, even helped with the insurance to get me home.
Unfortunately the first member of staff I dealt with was useless.

I was hoping to exchange my Hyundai i10 for a new vehicle. His knowledge of the vehicle was sketchy and I was informed that they would check on motor vehicle "buy for cash" sites and offer me a comparable price, however when I returned to the garage they offered £800 less than the lowest quote I'd got. I walked out and will never return.
