SCREW Huntington bank what use to be a good quality bank is now crap not for the consumer at all I use to love banking with Huntington but now I think I will put my money under my mattress!

I went into the Huntington Bank branch here Charlotte, North Carolina on August 29, 2025 to drop off small estate Affidavit for my Mom’s account with them. The employee took copies of the papers and the death certificate and claim to mail them to their legal department. After a month of not hearing from them, I started calling the employee as he gave me his business card. I left several telephone messages and he did not return the call. Then in September, the bank mailed letters to Mom concerning the renewal of her certificates which is the accounts I am trying to obtain information to distribute according to the filed court papers that I left them. I made copies of the affidavit that was court stamped and a copy of her death certificate and mailed to the address that sent the letters concerning the certificate of deposits being renewed back in October. They have it on record that my Mom is deceased and they have the paperwork but they are ignoring my attempts to settle with them per my court stamped documents. I have not gotten no response from them at all and it is not like they can keep that money. The bank is headquartered in Ohio and I should not have to drive there from North Carolina to get this settled. If you call they claim they do not have a IRA department but they have something because this is what Mom took on with these Certificate of Deposits.

Closed all my accounts they have very POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND INCOMPETENT PEOPLE WORKING FOR THEM DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

The employees lack training in wire transfers and notary services. I've tried four local branches and now it's 12 days later and my international wire transfer is still in limbo after four tries. Complete idiocy! Train your employees!
Not only are they incompetent but they acted as if it was my fault and tried to blame me. How ridiculous. Less than 1 star.

I would give them no stars if I could. Back in December of 2024. I was denied service at two branches at around 3 in the evening. I filed a complaint with their customer service and nothing happened. I met someone for a appointment on December 28, 2024. My case was my account was hacked in a foreign country. I was told they would get my money back. They did nothing to help me.

They said I was at fault. I filed a complaint with BBB they said the same thing. I even mentioned how I was refused service at their two branches in BBB complaint. Huntington never mentioned this when replying back to me. Avoid doing business with them!!!

The Huntington Credit Card is the worst I have ever experienced, and I am 70 years old with a credit rating over 800. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE that is extremely rude, and NEVER has my back with irreputable companies. DO NOT GET THIS CREDIT CARD!!!

Terrible bank to deal with from Top to Bottom. The ATM machines they own break down all the time. They always give you the run around and they tell you to call 1-800-480-2265, zero accountability and you can't report any wrong doing. Where I go the bank manager is so gross too. ALL I will say is BOYCOTT this bank 100% then they will improve or someone will buy them out. This is the definition of an EVIL Bank. They are out of horrendous Cleveland so that's their story, bottom feeders but they love charging you fees to make money real fast from fees they charge the customers. Close them down by moving all your assets!

This is an immoral bank. Heartless. Do not do business with them. They fired a women who had sufficient leave because she was caring for a terminally ill daughter.

I will never use mobile banking through Huntington. Their All Day Deposit Cut-Offs & Availability is absolutely inaccurate and they do NOT go by the schedule. They pick and choose what they want to pay and when they want to pay it. Deposits, checks, all transactions these days are immediate however Huntington chooses to hold your money for a week to gain daily interest on it. Save yourself time, go to a branch! Cash your check, then deposit what you need. If you are unable to drive, walk etc reach out to someone for help to get you there, DO NOT USE THE MOBILE APP FOR DEPOSITS!

Will never be back on 11/1/2024 they purposely made me wait in line unnecessarily. It was out of my control that when I into the line it was one 1 in front of me. The other line had 3 cars. I only did a deposit. They made me wait until they finished the 3 cars on the other side. So petty. They were giggling is what made me look around and notice how long i was sitting there. Needless to say, I won't be back to this location.

I love this bank vs. Chase, Key and all the other big ones. Their site is easily the best by far. UX is simple and everything works as it should. My Huntington branch is helpful even though I rarely use it. Their phone service is top notch and I travel a lot so they are always on the lookout for suspicious purchases and ATM's. When declined I call them and they verify its me and let the transaction go through. My last bank was 5/3 and they are like back in the 1990's with their site and in bank processes. Thanks Huntington.

Concerning the Huntington Bank in Madison Ohio only.....this HAS GOT TO BE the slowest bank anywhere! It doesn't matter time of day or what day it is, the drive through windows and the inside transactions are ALWAYS painfully slow! Sitting 10 to 15 minutes in the drive through line, when ONLY one car is in front of you, is absolutely ridiculous! Then....when it's your turn, they are s o o o o slow. Sorry, but there in NO excuse for it.

It took me almost a year to get Huntington and FifthThird to play together...to make what should be a simple automated loan payment. FifthThird finally solved the issue, thankfully. Huntington withdrew multiple extra loan payments and then said 'we can't refund these, they're just going to have to be extra payments'. I could tell you some other things that I would rather not post here about certain individuals at the Monroe, MI branch that I would call...dishonest. I was tempted to give them a 1 star, however I have had some tellers and other at the Point Place branch truly try to help. Huntington at times can't seem to get their own advice correct...asks you to do one thing and then another, after the first doesn't work.

THE BANK TELLER NAME TED THAT WORKS THERE HAD VERY NASTY ATTTUDE AND SENSE I BEING GOING TO THIS LOCATION IN ANY EVENT , THERE STAFF IS VERY RUDE THERE.

If you are looking for a bank, who is fair, cares about you as a customer, and advocates for the average, hard working individual, Huntington Bank is not the place for you. I reported fraud and identity theft on my account and Huntington Bank provided absolutely no assistance in the way of an investigation or tracking down my stolen funds. What they did do however, was freeze my account, causing me to be without money for almost 2 weeks, then closed my account, that mind you, I have had with them for years, stating I was a “risk.” This unwarranted 2 week freeze on my account almost cost me a place to live. Huntington Bank does not care about you, you are just another number. And please don’t get me started on how most of the tellers, at every branch are rude and lack concern in general. Also almost forget to mention that their ATMs are never working. Definitely an “L” banking establishment. Steer clear!

Applied 4 times for the perks checking account online which requires receiving a Promotion code to receive the advertised bonus. Code was never sent. Applied at the bank n called customer disservice, bank didn't have the code n the customer disservice said "they can't give out the code, I have to reapply online". I pointed out that the online system isn't working for me n they repeated that online is the only way to get the code.

This is unacceptable n incompetent behavior. I'm never going to deal with an institution that is this bizarre.

Great customer service in person and online (rare bad teller experiences, but they usually don't stay employed long). I love the app for my phone. The bank card is now my only card pay option. Interest free cash advances. Financial advice for investing, loans, and savings. Overall, I can't see how a bank could do a better job.

I recently noticed 2 charges on my account for "foreign transaction fee" and when I called to question them about this the customer service representative couldn't have been any ruder! When I asked how to avoid these charges in the future he curtly stated to asknthe vendor.
