Hunter-Ed Arvostelua 

I paid for the California hunter-ed course because I thought I had to have the specific California course. I completed the online course but then realized that I could take the hunter-ed course from a state that doesn’t require the in person class. I asked them to exchange the California course and explained that I don’t have transportation to the class in California. They absolutely refused because “you completed the course” but I only completed the online portion which doesn’t get a certificate it only gives an online class completion that you have to bring to the follow-up class. Ultimately, I paid hunter-ed for a class from another state that allows total online course completion. They have awful customer service and I will not be taking any of their other classes in the future. I had to pay for two classes. California Fish & Wildlife will not provide a disability accommodation such as let me complete the test remotely to get the certification either.

Quick and easy.

This course is a masterclass in mind-numbing boredom, and—surprise, surprise—they locked the faster version behind a paywall. Classic scam move.

After barely surviving the first unit, a friend of a friend’s grandma (certified hacker) whipped up a Python script to automate the button clicks. Sure, they verify server-side, so you still have to sit through the timer, but at least it saves you hours of soul-crushing busywork and helps fight back against the educational paywall mafia.

Shameful.

I think the content are all good except a little bit too long for many people that might have already known something to learn.

Great. It was smooth and user friendly.

Very Easy to use the course and I could pause and resume whenever I had the time, which is very useful with a kid and a baby. the course was very easy to read and understand, well structured and nicely put together

On line -Easy to navigate the web site. Very understandable questions. Can take as long as you need.

Some answers were tricky

The course is riddled with garbage questions and confusing answers . It reads like a regulation book I guess you could say. It did teach muzzle control so I guess it is a win. Make sure nothing auto populates when you fill out the payment forms or you will have to send all your personal info to "another" company that does not need it. You can literally put any name you want when you start, if you want to change it to the correct name or if you miss typed it you have no options.

So easy and simple

Had helpful information a videos questions are not hard just need common knowledge of hunting. I highly recommend this test

Good experience

The fact that you have to pay to make it easier/quicker is probably the biggest scam. Even when I decided to upgrade I couldn’t upgrade without repaying for the whole course
