Talked me over the options and different specs of the car and showed me round all different gadgets

My wife had the misfortune of buying a used top of the range 508 SW GT from Howard's Weston-super-Mare at the end of 2025 and from start to finish we have been so very disappointed,nothing has been straight forward from the lack of service provided by the salesman. Several faults that we identified and agreed to be addressed before taking ownership weren't done or were simply bodged. Also, when other issues we raised after the test drive, such as the start/stop not working, we were told "that's normal on these cars, after a long run it will start to work" nonsense, it needs a new battery! The remote boot opening didn't work when you place your foot under the bumper, when the car was returned to have this investigated, we were informed the sensor underneath the car had been damaged (it didn't work when we were shown around the car!) but they would try to get the fix authorised and get back to us, 6 weeks later and surprise surprise they haven't. Absolutely shocking service, over and over again we have been lied to. I feel it's also important to add that 6 months after taking ownership of this car the MOT was due, the car failing due to worn tyres, this was a £19,000 car ! There are loads more issues but I hope I have given you a fair appraisal of the service that we have suffered. Finally, the paint on one of the lower seals is already flaking off.....on a 19 plate car!
Since writing this report we have been contacted by Jon Old the company's After Sales Manager who has been refreshingly helpful. Jon arranged for the car's faults to be rectified quickly and efficiently.

Not sure where to start from the minute you walked in you were greeted with a smile I won’t say it was plane sailing all the way but the dealership were absolutely amazing they were really on it and my sales person Marcos was so professional would recommend this dealership to any one who’s looking for a professional outfit will go no where else in future wish them all well and thanks once again

I have purchased several cars from Howards over the years, most recently in Dec 2025. I have always found the their service and staff, in particular Matt, to be extremely knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. Nothing is ever too much trouble. I can highly recommend.

Travelled from Birmingham to this dealership and spoke to Matt Huxtable who arranged a test drive in a 600e & 500e abarth and we purchased the 500e and he was very helpful from the start the the finish with the process the car was fully charged and ready to drive home to Birmingham on the Saturday afternoon when we collected it. Thank you to Matt for all his help & support.

From the very first phone call when looking for our new motorbilty car we had a wonderful experience. Marcos was very polite, knowledgeable and kind. He kept us informed about the delivery date of the car and then when we went to collect the car, went through everything with us. Marcos has since rang us to confirm that everything was OK. My husband has terminal cancer and Marcos was sympathetic without being patronising. An asset to the company. If you are looking for a Peugeot then ask for Marcos.

Update from the Manager has apologised and has now changed the process regarding buying a car from Howard's .so it would not happen for new purchased from Howard's group.

Very unprofessional service , visited site in Weston today , we were shown a car ,took it for a test drive,we agreed on a price with the salesman Inc all the extras with the car .
Me and my daughter waited 15 mins to be told the car was not available .in total I waisted a hour of my time .
I was so angry,Howard's have lost a £9000 sale .

My wife and I were on holiday in cheddar and we had been searching for an electric vehicle to suit our needs, we have already had a couple of electric cars but wanted something more comfortable SUV like, after narrowing it down, we were looking for a Peugeot e3008, we went along to the Weston-super-Mare branch to see if we could at least have a sit in one, we met Matt Huxtable who opened up a demonstrator car for us and even let us have a drive in it, it was lovely and we wanted one, although we couldn’t afford the price of a brand-new one and they didn’t have one in their branch they located one for us, I said to Matt I don’t know how we’re gonna be able to buy this because we live in North Norfolk and he said don’t worry if it’s what you want. I’ll get it delivered to you. I can honestly say this is the best experience of buying a car we have ever had. Matt is an absolute gentleman and true to his word a week later the car was delivered to our driveway and our exchange was taken back. The car is fantastic. If any of the managers from Howards are reading this please thank Matt for his devotion and care.

Great service from Marcos at Howards Peugeot Weston-super-Mare.
We were looking for a Peugeot 3008 and Marcos was really helpful in helping us choose a car that we were happy with. He was very patient with us and spent a lot of time making sure we got the right car for us.

Having had a problem with another garage in the same group who were unable to solve a problem or offer any help or advice despite us being good customers I emailed Howard’s and John replied. He was so polite and helpful and went out of his way to reassure us and solved the problem immediately, he is certainly very knowledgable, he predicted the problem without seeing or knowing the car! He phoned when he said he would and kept us informed of progress throughout the day. He has restored our faith and although some distance from us we will be using this branch from now on. Can not praise highly enough.
