House & Home Sitters Ltd Arvostelua

We are very pleased indeed with the service provided by House & Home Sitters. We turned to them in a bit of a panic after we had been let down at short notice by our former pet sitter. We had three holidays booked, and asked if they could provide one sitter for all the existing dates – we felt this was a tall order, but Dave rose to the challenge and sent us the marvellous Marie. Our Border Terrier took to her straight away, as did we, and we felt very confident leaving our house, and beloved Moose, in her very capable hands. We returned to a happy dog and an immaculate house, and really could not have been happier. Communication was excellent throughout, and we would not hesitate to recommend them.

We had a fantastic experience with House & Home Sitters, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter than Bernie.

The whole process was made so easy for us, especially as we organised everything fairly last minute. Dave was incredibly responsive, helpful and reassuring throughout, which made arranging everything completely stress-free.

Bernie stayed with our two dogs, Nelly and Poppy, for 12 days. One of our dogs, Nelly, is reactive and can take quite a while to feel comfortable with new people, so we were particularly conscious about finding someone who would be patient and understanding. Bernie was absolutely brilliant with both of them. He was calm, kind, caring and completely respectful of their individual personalities and needs. He understood that Nelly needed time to settle and build her trust, and never rushed her. It was so lovely to see that, by the end of the stay, they had become best friends!

Bernie also took wonderful care of our home, and everything was in perfect order when we returned. He sent us a daily update while we were away, which we really appreciated and loved receiving. Knowing the dogs were happy, settled and being so well looked after meant we could properly relax and enjoy our holiday without worrying about them.

We’re incredibly grateful to Bernie for taking such great care of Nelly and Poppy. He went above and beyond, and it was clear that he genuinely cared about them. We would have absolutely no hesitation in having Bernie look after them again and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a kind, trustworthy and thoughtful house sitter.

Thank you, Bernie, for giving us such complete peace of mind!

My petsitters Solange and Tino were fantastic. It was the first time using House and Home Sitters for my trio and I was a little apprehensive, I needn't have been as the dogs were looked after beautifully and cared for as if they were their own. I have 2 senior dogs, one of whom has a disability and one lively, quite nervous younger dog. Solange and Tino arrived the evening before so they could get a full debrief and learn the dogs' routines and habits. It was lovely to get to know them over dinner, they are delightful and gentle couple and their love for animals is evident. I received regular updates and photos whilst I was away and when I arrived home, the house was immaculate, the dogs relaxed, happy and well exercised. I would thoroughly recommend Solange and Tino to look after your pets, in fact they are returning next month to petsit. The trio are looking forward already to seeing them again!

Sandra was communicative and honest before the house-sit, and I felt confident even before meeting her that she would be a responsible and considerate house-sitter. She arrived on time and paid very good attention to all the detailed instructions and requests. Our dog, Sybil, who is young and easily gets over-excited, was kept calm by Sandra’s gentle and steady manner, and all Sybil’s routines were perfectly observed, meaning that on our return her behaviour was unaltered, and she had clearly been beautifully looked after exactly as I had requested.
During the sit, Sandra got in touch as we had agreed, which was reassuring. She waited until our return, despite a delay due to a blocked motorway, and duly did an efficient and thorough handover before leaving.
Sandra was a little uncomfortable to be looking after a large house, but thoroughly recommend her for house-sitting, especially her thoughtful care of our dog.

Roger and Lisa were wonderful. They were professional, sent regular updates and were so helpful with issues around the house and looking after the cats. Dave at House and Home Sitters was fantastic and very understanding when we had to change our dates. Highly recommended.

Dave at House and home sitters was quick and efficient in finding us a sitter for Remi and Pip at home.
Dave put us in contact with Richard, who was lovely and made us feel at ease leaving them with him.
Remi wasn’t the easiest to handle but he was confident and dealt with any situation as she wasn’t particularly great with other dogs outside of the family.
Pip enjoyed his company too!
The best thing about all of this was the house was in safe hands too.
Thank Dave and thank you Richard.

This is the second time that Delia and Kenny have looked after my cat, Holly. Again they have done a fantastic job in looking after both her and my home. Delia is the epitome of a cat lover and you can see how much she enjoys looking after your pet and does it so well! I can truly relax whilst away, knowing that Holly is in the safest hands possible. Kenny and Delia also looked after my home so well and the place was spotless on my return! Would love to have them back in the future for any sittings required. Thoroughly recommend!

It was so lovely to be able to go away without any worries at all. Bernie is meticulous, loving and goes over and beyond any expectation with animal care. I returned to happy dogs and a happy cat and a clean house. Bedding was washed and dried which was not expected or necessary. A charming man who I will hopefully have the pleasure of seeing again with the pets. Thank you 🤩

We cannot speak highly enough of Dawn and Simon. It was a long sit – 3 months – and we were never worried. They kept us informed and were always ready to step up and deal with any requests. And, most important to us, they were very popular with our dog, Missy, who was relaxed, happy and healthy. We have booked them again for another sit later in the year! Thanks also to Dave, who introduced Dawn and Simon, and organised everything so efficiently.

House and Home Sitters provided the perfect solution for looking after our puppy while we were away a couple of times recently. Dave Price was quick to respond and found a brilliant couple, Roger and Lisa, who could cover both trips. The puppy was very happy with them and was delighted to see them again for the second visit (as were we!). The house was immaculate, plants cared for, and it was good to have some updates for peace of mind while we were away. An excellent experience using the company all round.

We recently used the services of David and Lynda to care for our animals whilst away . All went well and we would use again. We had updates, which gave reassurance and enabled us to get on with our break with confidence that everything was being cared for at home .

Dave at House & Home sitters very quickly resolved a last minute dog sitting problem. Burnie arrived in time and happy looked after two very bouncy dogs and a cat, he also kept the house and garden in good order.

His contact with us was good too, little updates and pics, allowing us to enjoy our holidays without any worries.

After being let down by our original house sitters (arranged through another organisation) we found Dave at House and Homesittets through Google. He very quickly arranged for Sina to look after our house, 3 cats and dog within a couple of days of our departure. Sina was excellent. She soon bonded with our pets and left us feeling confident after a handover over dinner the night before departure. On return, we were greeted by healthy and happy pets and a clean and tidy house. What more could we want! We would have no hesitation in going back to House and Homesitters again.

An efficient reliable housesitting service introduced us to Bernie, an experienced housesitter, who was reliable and enthusiastic about the week in our house with our terrier. He relayed messages and kept us informed whilst cherishing his time discovering the local area on dog walks! Would definitely recommend .

We had a fabulous couple Roger & Lisa house sit for us over Christmas and New Year, we have 2 dogs, one old and one very young, so both needing slightly different care. Dave was very quick to get back to us and as always communication was excellent, listening to all our needs for a smooth house and dog sit at this particular time of year.
We could not have been happier with Roger & Lisa, they were brilliant with the dogs, kept to our routine and we came home to an immaculate house and very happy dogs, all was perfect!
I would highly recommend House& Home Sitters for any future house or dog sits.

House and Home Sitters Ltd recently carried out a sit for our labrador, 2 horses, 3 chickens and 5 ‘semi-wild’ outdoor cats. Although a complicated set-up, and not the best of weather, our sitters were undaunted, very professional in their outlook and looked after everything just as we’d hoped. We have now booked Wendy and Hugh again for 2026, knowing we can go away and relax without any worries as to what might be happening back at base!
Dave (the company owner) was very quick to respond to any queries or concerns we had prior to booking, showed flexibility for a ‘no fault’ cancellation when our dog snapped his cruciate (the day before our original booking) and we have no hesitation in recommending House and Home Sitters Ltd.

The response time was super quick and the individual who dealt with my query could not have been more helpful or informative. I was kept up to date with every step of the process and had every reassurance that I would be allocated an experienced sitter. The sitter turned out to be above expectations, was excellent in communication and extremely professional. An excellent company offering excellent service. Can't recommend highly enough

Sorry for the delay in response. Susan was fantastic with our dogs.

Very happy with the whole experience and would use again. Dave was very thorough and professional during the booking process. The sitter (Sandra) was great with both the cats and the house, she followed our detailed instructions and left the house in an immaculate condition.

David was very efficient and the whole process of finding a sitter was stress free for us. I had complete confidence that he would find someone suitable and reliable which was well placed as Richard was a very good housesitter. He communicated with us beforehand, was efficient in every way and most of important of all, took great care of our standard poodle and our house for ten days. Our dog was happy with him and he sent us great photo updates of their walks. He was not phased by our rather acute water shortage, and other inconveniences of life in the middle of nowhere. He even got up at 4am to make us a cup of tea when we got back from the airport! We went away knowing everything was in safe hands and that makes all the difference to a holiday.
