Homesafe stalk and secretly obtain information from Social Workers/Hospital Staff without consent or notification.

Homesafe are awful people who make it easy to sign up but treat you like dirt afterwards.

This is the second time I have accessed equity from Homesafe and on both occasions it has been a totally stress free experience. Information was given in a clear and easily understandable manner and settlement went through without a hitch.
I would like to thank Homesafe for making this such a pleasant experience.

* Homesafe says, sign a contract saying you will buy Homesafe's share back.
* I ask, how much will it cost?
* Homesafe says, they will only tell me after I sign the contract committing to buy the house back.
-Welcome to clause 13 of the Homesafe contract. Other clauses are equally awful.
-Run the other way from these awful shysters who prey on elderly pensioners.

Kind and very good on follow up.
I recommend them as they are smart and lead with common sense.

They have awful clauses in the contract that will require you to agree to buy the house back if you want to get a valuation.
That is correct! Clause 13.1 means you can't get a valuation of your house that Homesafe will accept unless you first agree to buy the house back prior to knowing how much it will cost you.
Do not go near Homesafe, they are awful people that will destroy your final years.

My parents entered into an agreement with Homesafe Wealth Solutions back in 2013. I will never regret my parents decision. Their home, their choice.

Dealing with Homesafe on the back end as an Executor has been nothing short of a nightmare. Be very careful. Get your lawyer to look over the contract, explain it in detail so that you understand, and your Executors understand the process.

Wouldn't recommend this company.
Dealing with them atm to sell my father-in-law home to put in a retirement home

The fees are astronomical total of 40% of the sale of his home.
I'll be lucky enough to have enough just to pay for his bed in the retirement village.
There are way better companies out there to deal with.
They are not helpful in any way.
Disgraceful how a company can do this kind of intrest on on someone home they have worked for their whole life zero stars .

The punctual, helpful and professional way in which the Homesafe representative answered our queries and followed up on every stage of our application and reported back to us.

My mother-in-law had the misfortune to deal with these financial parasites. They are Predatory lenders taking advantage of naive financially illiterate older Australians who are often desperate for money. Their product is designed to avoid scrutiny by regulatory authorities such as ASIC & AFCA. The “independent legal advice” supposedly given to sick, frail, often incapacitated clients is a joke - it is a form which the client signs absolving Homesafe of any duty of care. Avoid this organization.

The lack of knowledge about home safe from the central coast lawyers was a big setback for us.Having to pay for expensive flood insurance which is not required where we live ,it was just a waste of $3000 dollars. But the final outcome was a great benefit to us and we would recommend home safe to anyone in our position

He had a lot of expertise in this area.He explained everything to us both with paper work so we could go back and read over so everything was made clear to us.Any questions and there were a few Jason rang us or emailed us promptly. We had legal advise. Both of us were very happy with our experience due to Jason with homesafe wealth release.

This is a great product and was a worthwhile consideration for my parents who had assets but low cash flow. Staff are extremely informative and professional who handled all my families questions through a complex product. I found the whole process to be a lengthy however all the consultants are very trustworthy and the end outcome was a good one for my parents

DO NOT enter a contract with this group. They prey on the older & vulnerable community. How the government can let this company steal from unsuspecting people is criminal.
My mum just sold her house & they are getting 1/3 of the sale price when the initial borrowings were 1/10th the value.

Using the equity in my house made my dream come true and made me feel safe and comfortable. My whole Homesafe journey was amazing and made soo much easier with the kindness and expertise of my Consultant Jason who guided me through from start to finish. Read the recent guardian articles about these people. Sounds like their business model is ripping off older hard-working people.

I’m my opinion I would highly recommend giving this a miss and exploring other options, even selling over going down this route . After 8 years they receive 49% of the value of the house , they will only speak to lawyers once probate is granted and you have to pay their lawyer fees as well as your own. You must pay for the property valuation also , they bear no cost at all , only their initial outlay
So if after 8 years them receiving $950000 after lending $200000 seems right then go ahead.
No this is not a loan , they are buying a share in your property, if you downsize you will have cash and property that will also grow in value

This as company has a bit of a habit of removing bad reviews.

If zero stars was an option they would get it..

I am extremely close to a family that recently settled the property of their parents. Initially their relation sold approximately 23% share of their house about 15 years ago. The house was valued at approx $400K, yet the owner received approx. $50K. Come to sale time and the homesafe share is approx $240K and you are also incumbered with the additional costs of their valuation before you can sell, their other costs which hide in their contract. Eg their lawyers fees for settlelment

The company ducks and weaves any questions and says everything is in the contract. They advise that the recipient they should seek independant legal advice and have people sign a disclaimer but I know the person in this case did not pursue this to their and their families detriment. If you happen to lose the contract they hit you with another fee.

Dealing with Homesafe as the advertisement says is quite straightforward

I appreciated not feeling pressured into making any decision to move forward with Homesafe

We were looking to relieve some pressure with rising interest rates with unfortunately still having a mortgage in our sixties, we had heard about HomeSafe and contacted them to find out more.
A meeting was arranged with their company representative Nick Todd, Nick sat with us for about two hours explaining how the process worked and answered every question we threw at him without hesitation.
We didn’t proceed with the contract for only one reason, totally unforeseen a very close family member offered to pay out our existing mortgage, but I can assure you if this lifeline wasn’t an option we would have proceeded with HomeSafe.
Again the totally professional treatment we received from Nick was above and beyond, he is obviously a very important part of the company.
