This is a wonderful bag
This is a wonderful bag. I carry a large ipad and remarkable tablet which both fit perfectly. The bag is heavy with those tablets however the thick strap balances the weight perfectly. The thicker strap is key! It never slips off my shoulder.

I bought a Hobo Go bag
I bought a Hobo Go bag. I thought it was overpriced but liked it so much, I decided to take the plunge. It arrived in the time specified. I just didn't like it for several reasons. I sent it back and the return was smooth. The thing that bothers me is that I wrote a review of the bag in part to counter all the glowing ones. 4 days later, it still has not posted. I am doubting that my somewhat negative review will be posted. I consider that a real breach of trust.
Broken zipper
Received a wallet for Christmas, just started using it and the zipper is stuck. Have been a long time fan of this brand, have over 30 of their bags & wallets. I had 2 issues in the past, once with a magnet the other with a zipper. Both were dealt with quickly and the bags were repaired &returned at no cost to me. That being said, this time I'm told to find someone on my own or return it with documentation(which I don't have as it was gifted to me) and they'd decide what to do. Perhaps mail me a gift card. This to be done at my expense. Will not be purchasing anymore of their products. The company is not what it once was. I might add, the workmanship of these products clearly have gone downhill.

Overpriced, Overhyped, and Underwhelming
I purchased the Kali Wristlet Wallet in Black from Hobo Bags after seeing numerous positive reviews, but this will most likely be my first and last purchase. Unfortunately, my experience with the product and the company fell far short of expectations.
First, domestic shipping within the U.S. was unusually expensive. I paid $15 for regular shipping, only to wait over a week for the package to arrive.
When the wallet finally arrived, I was significantly disappointed with its appearance compared to the stock photo on the website. The listing photo is heavily saturated, making the leather appear smooth and rich. In reality, the leather was brittle, full of creases, and had a texture similar to faux leather you'd find at big-box stores like Target. The quality simply did not match the look or exorbitant price point suggested by the listing (it is originally retailed at $138 but definitely felt more like a $20 product).
After sharing my lukewarm review on their website, I received an email from Customer Service stating that my review was flagged for verification, despite me providing my order number and receipt. This raises concerns about the authenticity of their overwhelmingly positive reviews and explains why there seem to be no critical or negative reviews on their product listings. It’s worth noting this item was marked as Final Sale, which conveniently limits returns and exchanges.
When I expressed my dissatisfaction to their Customer Service team, they directed me to their resale platform, Hobo Vintage, as a way to recoup some of my costs. However, selling through their site comes with a 30% commission fee, meaning I would only get back 70% of the price I originally paid. This feels like an unfair and opportunistic policy.
Overall, the combination of high shipping costs, misleading product representation, restrictive policies, and a lackluster customer service experience left me unimpressed. I would not recommend purchasing from Hobo Bags.

I am a longtime Hobo customer and have purchased in stores and online. What I am seeing now is that not only is the leather cheap, almost looks like it will peel as it wrinkles, but the company no longer cares about its buyers. Customer service used to be top notch, not so these days. And they also continue to display and allow one to purchase items that are not in stock! The latest is that I have been waiting 9 days and my order has not been shipped. It really makes me sad to see how downhill they have become, quality and customer care. And they charge for returns even if the mistake is one of their own. Not to mention the joke of the rewards - oof -They instruct you to use them and if you do they often cannot be used on a sale? WTH, yet the rewards still disappear. To me rewards should be just like cash and I can use them when and on what I choose. So disappointing. Gone are the days when people would immediately recognize that it's a piece from Hobo. Sad.

That was fine but they wouldn’t honor the sale price. The most ridiculous thing I’ve heard in a long time.

I would give them a zero if possible. Ordered a cherry blossom purse. They sent the wrong color. The cherry blossom is out of stock they sent a coral color I had to send 16 emails 8 phone calls to resolve the issue. No one ever answers the 800 number. They finally posted my refund. They charged me to purchase the purse and had the audacity to subtract the return shipping from my refund. They are the worse company I have ever dealt with. They sent an email saying I could have a 20% off on a different. The problem with that is they never honored the coupon. They are a terrible company to do business with

I have purchased 6 wallets and 6 bags over the past 5 years and each have been perfect quality and are only getting better with time. I look forward to future purchases. The most recent was in Georgetown shop last year.
Withholds 3 star ratings
I have bought several bags and wallets from this company. I liked most of my purchases. My issue with the company is that I was able to see all of my 5 star ratings, but all of my less than entirely complimentary ratings were withheld.
I purchased a bag
I purchased a bag. The next day it went on sale. They refused to honor the sale price. I had to reorder the bag. I received the first bag and it was complete junk to say it nicely. I returned it. The second one I returned as well. They refused to refund me shipping charges.
The quality of the bags would be equivalent to something a teenager would purchase at Walmart. These bags probably cost them pennies to make and they're selling them for hundreds of dollars.

Customer service never returns phone…
Customer service never returns phone calls and emails are not promptly responded to either. Ordered 4/27 and very late evening of 4/30 received email that order would be delayed. Called in morning of 5/1 and emailed. Email response was shipping that day or next with tracking info. Never received anything so emailed 5/7 and called & emailed 5/8 to cancel. Disputed charge and at end of business day, HOBO sent email that cannot cancel & shipped order for supposed delivery on 5/12. Now I am supposed to return when received to get refund even though already disputed. Have zero clue if will actually be delivered by 5/12 as I have plans due to holiday. Customer Service is abysmal as phone sends to voice mail automatically with no return calls. Only response is email when they get around to it.

Rip off company | Lacks Ethics
Rip off company. Received a gift bag, purchaser received a deep discount on the purchase. The purse was defected, not sure if this is intentional. Wanted to exchange, only can exchange via Hobo Bags site. Which I did and this is when I learned that the $138 bag sold to purchaser for $110.90 [wth tax]. As I process the exchange I learn of the discount. As I was completing the process & I changed style of bag, a bag that retails for $128. Hobo Bags requires to pay the difference. from the amount the purchaser paid to cover the difference so that Hobo Bags gets
paid their full retail amount. So, Hobo Bags
is making more money on the exchange than
the original purchase & is off the back
of the person who received damaged purse
in the beginning. Hobo Bags only offers gift cert. on exchanges, so I completed the exchange, paid the $26+ difference, returned the 1st bag.
I chat w/associate & they refuse to do an even exchange citing that I was purchasing a higher dollar item? I doing an exchange, Hobo Bags should have written off the $2+ diff to honor the original purchase. If they don't then they are price gouging the customers. They are enriching themselves off of their exchange policy. Bad business, bad product, bad business ethic. Not sure they knowing sold defective product in exchange for deep discounts. Maybe. All in all will do business with them again.

I have bought several bags from Hobo ad have always been very satisfied with all my orders. The quality is great and they are lovely. But I just bought a little add on in one of the zodiac signs for a gift and almost canceled the ordered because of the shipping price. The item was only $30.00, it was on sale, but the shipping was over $16.00 and it is a very small item. I thought this was ridiculous, I was considering ordering another one but not after I seen what the shipping was, no way. I have never had to pay such a ridiculous shipping price at HOBO for such a very small item or even a large one.

I can't say enough good things about this company! I absolutely love everything about their products, the leather is such high quality and anytime I've had a question or issue their customer service has been quick to help. Their summer products just came out and I've already ordered two more bags for my collection - everyone needs a hobo bag!!
Best Leather Work Tote EVER
Just bought my 4th Kingston Tote and love it so much I sought out this review platform to share my love! My favorite thing about this bag is that no matter how much I have to carry the bag always seems to accommodate. It's large enough to carry my laptop and files to work, or I've used it on multiple occasions as an overnight bag. BUT when I only have the essentials with me the soft leather drapes perfectly creating a smaller silhouette. Can't say enough good things - hope everyone checks out this style. Game changer
Terrible Smell And Not Eligible for Return
I bought the "Moon" vintage purse at hobobags.com and am so disappointed! The worst thing about the purse is the terrible smell, that I assume is from the chemicals used to treat the leather. The other disappointment is that when I attempted to return the purse, I was informed in was not eligible for return. Not being eligible for return was not indicated when I bought the purse. Also, the customer service was terrible, in that they provide a phone number to call, but you are instructed to use their website or leave a message.
