A must read for anyone thinking of buying a McCarthy type of property

This research is outdated. My experience with the UK market especially in the midlands is that properties are not selling due to agents inability to read the market,
What is not mentioned is not all regions are the same. To suggest a 2-3 % reduction after a period of 30 days just is not the case. My experience with agents is they are dishonest with the client vendor and rely on false previous sales to lure a vendor into contract to manage the sale of the property.

We sold our house in 11 days for more than we expected and quickly bought our new home. I’m my view carefully reading and acting on advice and information largely enabled that. What amazed me was how many buyers and sellers did less homework than buying a second hand car, they often felt they knew better, and then blamed estate agents, buyers or sellers when things didn’t go as they felt they should.

OK, but some of us have reached a particular stage in life where we may have a reduced income, no mortgage, but wish to move to a forever home because we didn't quite make it earlier. I feel that we are the 'forgotten few'!
