Hire up has been a wonderful platform to use to obtain an amazing support worker for my daughter. Very user friendly, straight forward to use and it enables you to take charge of choosing the right person and being in charge of invoicing too as you get to review before approving the hours . So far, I have been very happy with Hire Up, this has made such a positive impact on our lives ! Thank you Hire Up !

HireUp is flexible
Hire up has allowed me to find clients who suit me and I suit them.
Access to Policies & Procedures is not easy and it should be something that is just a click away.

Supportive but low pay rate
Easy to navigate the website and book, log and confirm bookings. It's handy that they sort all the tax and super.
The base pay rate is low, mainly because I learned that HireUp takes about a third of the hourly rate as a fee, but they are supportive. For example, the organisation pays HireUp $55 an hour and you get $33.90
If you are happy with that go for it.

Thanks for your feedback on our pricing model, and here's a little more info on how it all works.
The Hireup standard rate is $55.82, and support workers receive $37.35 (incl. superannuation and 25% casual loading) for a standard shift. The difference covers worker taxes, payroll and invoicing, comprehensive insurance cover for every shift booked and paid for on Hireup, and Hireup’s online platform and Community Support team. I find Hire Up great to work for
I find Hire Up great to work for. Communication is good, advice given to me by phone support amazing. I do feel very supported. The only issue I have, is I believe I should receive a higher hourly rate. I have a diploma and build great reports with my clients, I have a decent amount of training under my belt as well. I recently finished (December 2022) as an intensive therapeutic support worker earning $34/ hour in a permanent position (holiday pay, sick pay and regular roster) where I also had the benefit of salary sacrificing. What are your thoughts? Is there any opportunity for pay rise due to credentials and experience?
Another great thing about Hire Up is that there are way more jobs advertised on there, than on any other platform I currently use.
Upside to the other platforms is you can set your own hourly rate. I am currently waiting to hear from the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission regarding a platform trying to charge exorbitant subscription fees, I'm also pleased Hire Up don't do that.

We appreciate your feedback about the hourly rate for Hireup support workers, all Hireup support workers are an employee of Hireup, not contractors. So you’ll receive casual and penalty loading, superannuation, and comprehensive insurance, for all work completed on the Hireup platform. As the support you provide on Hireup is of a support worker not as a specialised role such as an Intensive Therapeutic support worker, we pay a level rate for all work performed on the platform (which is above level 3.2 of the SCHADS Award rate (home care)). We hope this clears a few of your questions up, but please don't hesitate to contact our team if you have any other questions - we're more than happy to discuss this further with you!
